Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

No choc!!! How will you cope?? @peachesarenom

peachesarenom · 28/12/2017 21:51

@LMX0 I don't know how I'm gonna manage this! I think I'm gonna have to be one of those people who always have the same meal on the same day of the week!

Good luck with it!!! Hopefully it wont be too hard to find meals u like

Flatwhite32 · 29/12/2017 15:26

Hi ladies, had a private scan today at 10+4 (although I'm actually measuring 10+6!). Thankfully everything was ok. Due to having a MMC at 12 weeks in August, my anxiety levels are very high. I was crying in the car on the way there! I'm so relieved (well for a day at least! Will go back to worrying tomorrow!).

Gosh that's amazing! I've been considering the same! Did they do a nuchal translucency?

BuffalotheGruffalo · 29/12/2017 16:42

That's a fab picture @flatwhite
I've been so tempted to have an early scan again because I'm so worried about it realistically I know that I'll have one theb just go back to worrying again straight away so I'm trying to take a 'what will be will be' attitude and keep busy ish but it's so hard and scan is still just over two weeks away.

Flatwhite32 · 29/12/2017 17:40

No they didn't @peachesarenom as it was just a fraction too early! I'm happy to leave that til the 12 week scan anyway, as I was so anxiety ridden today about the heartbeat, so that was my main focus. Pregnancy after MC is so hard mentally. You are always preparing yourself for the worst case scenario.

Flatwhite32 · 29/12/2017 17:41

It is hard isn't it @BuffalotheGruffalo. You do go back to worrying straight away! My 12 week scan is a week on Tuesday, although my gran died yesterday so I may have to move it depending on when her funeral is. I like to think she was looking down on me today during the scan.

peachesarenom · 29/12/2017 17:43

@Flatwhite32 I'm really glad it went well. Did you see the heartbeat or did you get to hear it too?

OP posts:
Flatwhite32 · 29/12/2017 18:10

We got to see it, but not hear it. Where I am the midwife let's you hear the heartbeat at your 16 week appointment (if I get that far!).

LMX0 · 29/12/2017 21:16

@Flatwhite32 aww thats brill and a great scan photo too!!!! Sorry to hear about your gran!! Thanks

Lphil93 · 29/12/2017 21:26

I'm 24 and 8 weeks pregnant, due August 2018. Only been with my partner 10 weeks and I'm feeling so anxious. It'd be amazing to have support off other women due the same time ☺️

How's everyone feeling? Morning sickness killing you guys too?

LMX0 · 29/12/2017 23:59

@Lphil93 congrats & welcome!!! How and your OH finding the news? Morning sickness is a bloody awful thing isnt it?! One min your fine next your near dead lol

Lphil93 · 30/12/2017 00:02

@LMX0 well it certainly was a shock at first but we're both just jumping right into it. Whether it was planned or not it's a gift right!!

My morning sickness has been horrendous to the point I'm considering having to leave my job because it's embarrassing ☹️ hopefully it'll stop in the second trimester 🤞🏼

LMX0 · 30/12/2017 00:15

@Lphil93 everything certainly happens for a reason!!! Have you told anyone yet? Ohh goodness poor you!!! If your really struggling you GP can help? I count myself lucky mine hasn't been too bad (deffo not as bad as you)

ladybirdno1 · 30/12/2017 06:16

I haven't been sick at all. Have had periods of the day where felt v rough and nauseous, just not actually throwing up. I'm now convincing myself it's going to be a boy, or maybe the sickness will come later for me as I'm unsure of actual due date. GP guessed as 14/08/18 but will probably change when have scan.

LMX0 · 30/12/2017 07:21

@ladybirdno1 i think dates always sort of change when u have your scan. Ohh you could be right any cravings yet?

Flatwhite32 · 30/12/2017 09:08

I've just ended a week of no vomiting and retching with my head down the toilet bowl this morning! Luckily my sickness is manageable when it strikes, and can be eased by eating lots of carbs.

Lphil93 · 30/12/2017 09:15

@ladybirdno1 does vomiting indicate a girl then?! 😮🙊

@LMX0 unfortunately lots of people guessed before I had the chance to wait for my 12 week scan and announce it properly thanks to the morning sickness 😬

Anyone thought of names yet?

LMX0 · 30/12/2017 09:43

@Lphil93 awww no 😞 awk sire at least you dont have to worry about hiding the sickness lol i like Thomas for a boy & Amelia for girl apparently if you have early sickness thats a sign of a girl and if the sickness is later on its a boy i don't know if thats feeling sick or vomiting
@Flatwhite32 awww no at least it eased for xmas tho!! Im finding brushing my teeth very hard!!!

Lphil93 · 30/12/2017 09:58

@LMX0 agreed! Brushing teeth at the moment is almost impossible!

I know it's a bit mad but has anyone got a bump forming... I feel like I have and I'm only 8 weeks 😮😮

peachesarenom · 30/12/2017 10:05

Hi everyone, did you see my other thread? I'm getting pink discharge. Panicking. The EPU are going to see me on Wed. I'm very sad. People have been reassuring though!

OP posts:
Lphil93 · 30/12/2017 10:13

@peachesarenom I'm sure it's fine. I read somewhere that you're likely to have discharge during pregnancy from changing hormones. Try not to stress for now ❤️

ladybirdno1 · 30/12/2017 10:18

@Lphil93 I think it's an old wives tale so not scientific, a lot of people that get bad morning sickness have girls, although have seen on threads that it's not the case for all. X

Lphil93 · 30/12/2017 10:19

@ladybirdno1 I don't care either way as long as it's healthy but it's fun trying to guess 🙊🙊
