Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

ZoeRoma · 18/12/2017 07:15

@LMX0 Good idea! The one I'm drinking at the moment is pretty authentic, so I don't think anyone would notice even if they had a glass of it. Until they didn't get drunk, of course!

LMX0 · 18/12/2017 07:26

@ZoeRoma perfect cover then!!! Enjoy!

misshannah · 18/12/2017 07:42

@LMX0 I hadn't even put two and two together but last week, literally every time I ate something I felt like I wanted to be sick. Today, I just feel like a bloated cocktail sausage squeezed into some clothes! 2 weeks in and already clothes are tight... no helping us. Hope you're feeling ok today!

peterpanwendy · 18/12/2017 07:43

@LMX0 I'm 23 too! I think I'm 6+2 so due about the 14th! X

Brettgirl · 18/12/2017 07:57

Morning ladies, four more shifts at work then I can rest! Just a shame that's about 60 hours of work lol
Hope you are all well xx

LMX0 · 18/12/2017 08:53

@misshannah omg that made me laugh so much!!! I feel like a bloated cocktail sausage squeezed into some clothes! Yipp i know that feeling been up from 4 and felt soo sick (feel like all im doing it whining on) lol
@peterpanwendy awww lovely i think july/aug is a lovely time to have babies and i dont know too many that have summer babies too 😊
@Brettgirl omg i dont know how you do it!!! You will be glad to get that well deserved rest!!!

peterpanwendy · 18/12/2017 09:32

@Brettgirl what do you do?! 3 for me I can't wait to sleep!! Feel now I actually have an excuse to be tired, grumpy and hungry all the time Grin

peachesarenom · 18/12/2017 10:18

@LMX0 honestly I just think I need some bed rest. I'm feeling vommie again today after a couple of days off.

@peterpanwendy I work with adults with learning disabilities and also run my own pet sitting and dog walking business. I just want to sleep! Xxx

Brettgirl · 18/12/2017 10:30

@lmxo to be honest I don't know at the moment either lol
My husband is really worried about the hours I'm doing but at this time of year there is just no cover. I'm being really looked after at work but I do just want to sleep! Xx

Ha1234 · 18/12/2017 11:12

Any tips for nausea? I’m between 6-7 weeks stomach pains have gone replaced with feeling sick the majority of the time. I’ve gone off my morning brew which never happens!! All I want to eat is crisps and use polos to try and keep it at bay. I know everyone says child birth is bad but no one has ever let me know how bad the early weeks are - especially when you are trying to keep it secret. I feel pathetic but the constant nausea and tiredness is taking its toll. Still got lots to organise for the family for Christmas but have lost my motivation 😔

Heregoeseverything · 18/12/2017 11:21

@Ha1234 I was also all over the crisps at your stage (though sometimes the aftertaste of cheese and onion also made me nauseous...). Tea has also been my most persistent food aversion (easing back into it now at 11+2). I usually drink 10 cups a day!

Personally I found ready salted lentil crisps helped. They are very light and fairly bland, no nasty aftertaste. Also less guilt-inducing as a bit healthier than the alternatives!

Ha1234 · 18/12/2017 11:27

I agree cheese and onion aren’t on the list. Tend to go for baked crisps as they are on the lighter side.. I can’t wait until I am back on tea 😊. Glad I’m not on my own and you have come out the other side! There is light and tea at the end of the tunnel!! 😂

Brettgirl · 18/12/2017 11:45

@ha1234 I'm with you, didn't realise early pregnancy would be this hard! Makes me worry about towards the end xxx

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to you all!!

I'm due early June and hugely happy and excited, if not exausted!!! But my boyfriend is not a huge help! We were only a few months into our relationship when I fell pregnant and we don't live together. I just find he takes very little interest and doesn't offer any practical support, for example when I was in the first trimester and soooo tired, working full time, long hours etc he didn't offer any help. I wondered if anyone else is in a similar situation as me.

Thankfully my friends and family are amazing but sometimes you just want a loving hug and words of support from the dad!

ZoeRoma · 18/12/2017 12:10

@user1513504339 Sorry you're not getting as much support as you need. Have you tried explicitly (but non-confrontationally) saying that you need some help? Men aren't always great at picking up on that kind of thing!

@krystal101 Being pregnant definitely isn't every woman's dream!

And it's great that you had a pregnancy full of lovely feelings but some people have really rough pregnancies and they are entitled to have a moan from time to time...!

user1513504339 · 18/12/2017 13:46

Yes, they do need to be told! I'll keep trying, it's hard as the more he doesn't respond and isn't helpful the more I pull away!!!

LMX0 · 18/12/2017 14:14

@peachesarenom how are you sleeping at night? Take a few days over xmas and do very little and rest yourself have you tried sucking on hard sweets i tried that this morning and it helped a little(thankfully)
@Brettgirl oh wow!!! You are one busy little bee 🐝 as long as you dont burn yourself out ohh and lets not think about the other side just yet!!! 🙈🙊
The ladies that were talking about sickness try small sips of water eating smaller meals more often sucking hard sweets? Try to carry on (i know alot harder said than done!) ohh plain crisps are soooo good!!!
@user1513504339 aww sorry to hear but yes sometimes men need you to just be outright and tell them

peachesarenom · 18/12/2017 15:17

Thank you so much @krystal101 that is such a lovely way to think of it! Thank you for your message.

@Heregoeseverything you moan away! We've all got to get through this in our own way!

@LMX0 I can't sleep on my belly anymore because I feel like there is a balloon in there that I don't want to squash and weird on my back too. Tossing and turning all night from left hand side to right hand side. Totally knackered. You?

@user1513504339 I don't understand men. Apparently they speak another language. I show someone I love them by cooking for them. Some people show love by buying presents. Figure out how he's trying to show his love. Sadly my husband expresses his love by trying to keep me warm. I can't tell you how many pairs of gloves he's bought me!

ZoeRoma · 18/12/2017 15:34

My OH expresses his love by trying to feed me sweet stuff. I don't really have a sweet tooth at all. It's a source of constant disappointment to him :D

user1513517756 · 18/12/2017 15:38

Hi! I just found out yesterday I'm pregnant! I'm due in August 2018. Really excited. I made a doctors appointment and went this morning and I think you are right you could probably have just called and booked your midwife appointment then. I just didn't know what to do! I have tenderer boobs and have been experiencing morning sickness (starts about 4am) not actually being sick but very naucious. I got cramps the other night with my first bout of morning sickness. I'm 27 and we tried for a few months before getting pregnant. I don't really have any family close around so am really grateful to have found this feed!

LMX0 · 18/12/2017 15:46

@ZoeRoma mine is a feeder too!!! No wonder i piled on a few stone when i got with him!! 😂
@peachesarenom i never was one for sleeping on my tummy always my side so im alright for the time being have u got a pillow yet?
