I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Just One minute at a time. This is temporary I promise. You will get relief x

Emu31 · 17/11/2017 14:54

Oh just so sorry you're feeling so awful, having a proper weep is just all there is to be done sometimes when it's really bad. Sending you a virtual hug and strength. It's fucking awful, so not a pity party at all.

anew that sounds so hard about your dog, doesn't seem fair that DH would get to keep his. Pets really do feel like part of the family so the thought of rehoming must be horrid.

DeadDoorpost · 17/11/2017 15:36

Happy birthday seize!! 🎉🎉
just r3st as much as possible and I hope you can get some relief at some point soon!

Doesn't look too good for me. BabyDoor is currently back to back for the first time! And is not anymore engaged. Really frustrating. Induction is booked for the 1st December if he's not here by then. Kind of annoyed kind of just totally fed up.

I seem to be losing a lot of discharge today but doesn't look like usual discharge? Not that I often looked at my discharge before the pregnancy anyway. It's not exactly clunky soon don't think it's my mucus plug but could it be it? It's a bit like liquid milk jelly??! No idea how to describe it and certainly not taking a picture lol

justtheonethen · 17/11/2017 15:43

Thanks all. I genuinely don't know what I would do without you lot. Feeling a bit better for a big cry. Am just so fucking done with lying on my bed feeling awful.

door I definitely don't want a picture Grin. Come on babydoor!

Natsku · 17/11/2017 15:52

anew what about some kind of behaviour training for your dog or something like that? Maybe that would get your OH to compromise on this.

Happy birthday seize!

Eww no picture please Dead Grin

Ameliablue · 17/11/2017 18:32

How's everyone doing? it's hard to keep up.

Anew, you have my sympathies, I wouldn't have been able to give up my dog that predated my relationship with oh. She was a nervous rescue so I was worried how she cope with a baby so I did lots of extra training with her while pregnant. Are there specific issues that you can work on with your oh and his dog?

Thought I was going to struggle this morning as normally have a roll and bacon or sausage when I get to work and it's the only thing that gets me through the morning but the van wasn't open in time this morning as normal lady had phoned in sick. Luckily I have a very sympathetic manager who just laughed when I told her why I wasn't happy this morning then sent me to get one once it has opened.

DeadDoorpost · 17/11/2017 18:53

amelia glad you have a nice boss! That must make a huge difference.

Natsku and just I won't post pictures lol don't worry 😂😂😂

Shehz21 · 17/11/2017 19:51

Dead Oh dear I think Ima do double celebration (in my own head) for you once Baby Door finally decides to make an appearance! You must be so exhausted mentally and utterly fed up at this point. I am registering all the weird gross info about losing plug though so I realise what's going on with me when it's my turn Grin
Sorry about DH's job though. Hope new and better opportunities come up soon!

anew Do talk to DH and hope you manage to convince him not to rehome your lovely dog. You mention he/she has helped you through hard times so hopefully you manage to sort this out.

justtheonethen Aww love I am so sorry you going through this. I think ever since we had our relapse, it's been the pits for us. Been feeling the same tbh, ever so miserable, lack of enthusiasm about the everything. We can get through this though! We still have to reach to the third trimester, another huge step closer to that pink castle!! Big hugs and Flowers.

Natsku So glad you got your medecines!

Amelia Lucky you for a nice boss :)

Seize Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day, vomit&nausea&fatigue free! Cake

Shehz21 · 17/11/2017 19:55

Oh and thank you about the sling advice Mustang and the others.
Boobless woman here [well pre-pregnancy was defo boobless] so the Ergo might still be worth a shot but gonna check out a sling library before settling on anything.
Bad back here as well plus presently suffering PPGP(probably gonna end up on crutches or a wheelchair by 3rd trimester :( ).

justtheonethen · 17/11/2017 19:55

shehz sorry you're feeling the same. This relapse or whatever it is is the worst. At least we are more than half way now . Flowers

justtheonethen · 17/11/2017 19:56

Amelia so glad you have a nice boss Smile

Mustang27 · 17/11/2017 20:29

Happy birthday Sieze!!!

I clicked on a thread recently that had pics of someone’s discharge no warning or anything it was not good, I vommed pretty quickly afterwards but what’s new.

Shez no bother at all I was lucky that we have some great local sling libraries that didn’t bat an eyelid at the fact I hadn’t had a baby yet but still needed sling advice lol. Sorry about needing crutches or a wheelchair it’s not a great place to be and unlike most hg cases it does take time to get better after pregnancy too Sad.

Oh Amelia that sucks glad your boss let you sort it though.

Dead I went on my own with mini being back to back @41 + 6 I managed with the pain really well supposedly. Hopefully he turns and comes before then just to make life easier but these babies tend to start how they mean to go on......difficult lol.

Waves to everyone else.......why are there so many of us suffering with this made up Illness 😂😂😂

justtheonethen · 17/11/2017 21:25

shez sorry missed your post about back Sad, I have a terrible back and I'm so worried about lugging a third trimester belly around.

mustang I know right, we are sooooo fashionable Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2017 22:14

Good luck all those with twinges - head engaged or in labour

@seize happy birthday

@journey. Why should your dog go? Esp if a rescue

I often read of families getting rid of their pets when babies come. It’s sad :( hope you don’t have to do that

@just. Sorry you feel so crap

@amelia. Glad you have a nice boss. Often those who suffer from hg have arseholes for bosses

I found that fried eggs on toast with bacon was a good meal to keep down and protein kept me full

And yes princess Kate may have hg badly but

She has full staff to clean cook chauffeur and childcare

Let alone not worrying about going to work and not being paid for sick days /mortgage bills rent etc all piling up

Plus she has one of each. Why if she suffers sooooooo badly would she want a 3rd

Mustang27 · 18/11/2017 01:32

Pregnancy insomnia is just the best Hmm reading walking dead comics, they are brilliant I forgot how much I liked comics lol.

Also is anyone else climbing the wall with worry about Blue I’m sure all is fine. Hopefully get a wee update soon. She has had such a rough time she really deserves a smooth labour.

I’m impressed with that meal choice Blondes I’d be happy to just be able to eat some bacon and know it will definitely stay down. Was that ok on the way back up

I know what you mean about Kate, I was quite bitchy about her a couple of threads ago due to her looking rosy cheeked and doing a jig with a giant Paddington bear. All I could think of is how damaging an image that is for other women suffering HG as we are all so often told to put up and get on with it. Then I felt guilty Sad as I realised she is likely under some amount of pressure to be well and look the part in public I bet even with all the help she is really isolated and lonely.

Mustang27 · 18/11/2017 01:34

I realise Just that me admitting I read comics really doesn’t play into my fashionable status but hey having HG is on fleek I think that’s what the kids say lol

justtheonethen · 18/11/2017 08:59

mustang I love a comic loser Grin

Also hoping blue is ok. I hope she's just snuggling her new born and too mesmerised to update!

anewjourney · 18/11/2017 09:05

I spoke to OH again about the dog issue yesterday. Initially we had a big argument and I ended up crying but once we had both calmed down he apologised to me and I explained the reasons why it’s not fair to not even try.

We have come to a compromise in that we will keep both dogs, and if for whatever reason mine is a problem or I can’t cope, we will look into it then.

Hope everyone is ok!

seizethecuttlefish · 18/11/2017 09:20

Morning all
Know what you mean about Kate. I think she maybe has bad hg for the first trimester and then she’s one of those lucky people that it eases off for.
Hope Blue is enjoying baby cuddles.
Anew glad you managed to get some agreement. When I met DH I had 2 cats and he had 3. 5 cats and us in a small flat was not entertaining but they were our fur babies, so we made it work.
Love to you all and gentle hugs all round. I’m suffering from what I’m calling the week 14/15 relapse. Really been bad for a few days. DH is taking ds and dog to the beach (yes they are crazy) so I am going to take it easy.

DeadDoorpost · 18/11/2017 09:39

seize I live in Cornwall, taking the dog to the beach is normal here 😂😂 as is going swimming in the sea at this time of the year. I kinda miss that tbh but if rather not risk getting pneumonia right now.

seizethecuttlefish · 18/11/2017 10:16

Dead never been to Cornwall. Would love to go. We’re in the West of Scotland, it is pretty mild today but I give it 30 mins before they are all freezing.

Natsku · 18/11/2017 10:25

I'm worrying about blue too, hope everything is OK with her and baby.

Glad you and OH reached an agreement anew

I used to live by the sea when I was a teenager, my mum was one of those nutters who'd how to the beach and swim all year round. I do love a swim in cold water but only if there's a sauna right next to where I'm swimming!

Shehz21 · 18/11/2017 11:51

Thinking about Blue here too! Really hope she is just enjoying the relief from HG and all the pregnancy related woes. Or just really busy cuddling Mini Blue. Can't wait for an update that both are doing good.

Mustang Yes expecting the worst to come in 3rd trimester with the growing belly contributing to even more problems. And after birth :( I guess i'll just have to be grateful to be HG free after Baby Shehz is born.

Just Sorry about the bad back. I hope some miracle happens and we get through the 3rd trimester until the end without any major impact on our body/back due to the growing belly weight.

anew So glad you got this sorted out! Pets are family Halo give it your best try with all the different measures that exist!

BlueButTrue · 18/11/2017 12:49

Hello ladies, I can report that I was indeed sick in labour (4 times), but it’s all over! Baby is finally here! Grin

I’m still quite nauseous (so unfair), but have only been sick once since delivery last night.

He came bang on his due date

Hope you are all doing okay Flowers
