I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

seizethecuttlefish · 18/11/2017 14:16

Congrats blue I can confirm 17 Nov is an awesome birthday.

anewjourney · 18/11/2017 14:25

Blue He’s gorgeous. Congrats!

pippanippa · 18/11/2017 14:27

Blue congratulations, he's gorgeous, I hope that nausea begins to fade soon!

Hope everyone's feeling a bit better today, it seemed like bad days all round yesterday (apart from for Blue who got to meet her little boy of course!).

Disappointment here, contractions became regular over the course of yesterday, we went to hospital all geared up, but after a while there they abruptly stopped. We came home to rest and get a good nights sleep and have only had a few twinges since. Ah, latent labour, such fun, you'd think I'd know when proper labour was starting as it's the second time, but apparently not! Just resting up whilst we wait for things to begin again, could be hours, could be a week, it's anyone's guess.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend in the meantime!

Ameliablue · 18/11/2017 14:39

Congratulations Blue, he's gorgeous. How the nausea goes soon.

Emu31 · 18/11/2017 15:09

Congratulations blue! He is just beautiful! I really hope that nausea goes for you very soon Flowers

Oklahoma · 18/11/2017 15:27

Congratulations Blue it’s all over!! Hope the labour was smooth and you feel better ASAP

Oklahoma · 18/11/2017 15:28

Pippa how annoying! I can confirm that it being a second labour doesn’t mean you have any more clue what you’re doing!

Natsku · 18/11/2017 15:33

Congratulations blue he's lovely, hope you stop feeling sick soon

Urgh very annoying pippa that better not happen to me as it's so far to the hospital, think I'd actually just stay in a hotel rather than go home

DeadDoorpost · 18/11/2017 15:41

Congratulations Blue!! Hope the nausea settles down quickly and so glad you got to go naturally!

pippa that really does suck! Hopefully you'll go tomorrow! and me but it doesn't look like it

I ended up spending the day/ afternoon at the Eden Project walking around because obviously my sister is trying to get me to trigger labour. BabyDoor seems to be firmly staying put.

Shehz21 · 18/11/2017 16:06

Congratulations Blue! Such a gorgeous wee one! Hope you have a speedy recovery and the nausea disappears soon Flowers

Elephantgrey · 18/11/2017 18:49

Blue- what an absolute beauty. Congratulations! I hope you feel better soon.

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 18/11/2017 20:11

Blue congratulations, he's absolutely beautiful! Sorry to hear you're still nauseous but the end is in sight!! Wine

Mustang27 · 18/11/2017 20:34

Aww perfect sized I loves him lol.

Oh no Pippa I’m hoping you go soon, I think that’s why most women’s second labours seem quick we learn to ignore stuff lol but really we are none the wiser.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/11/2017 22:07

@mustang. Tbh the only thing that was awful coming back was rice. Every sodding last grain

Tho I didn’t learn and often would have a curry and whoosh all returned

Think I got to the stage thinking whatever I eat I will be sick so may as well enjoy it going down .....

@journey. Glad you spoke and are keeping both the dogs

@seize. You are probably right. She’s in hospital having fluids v early in preg

And I’m a Bitch lol

@blue. Awwww congrats. A baby boy 💙👶🏼💙 and hope sickness stops

For me it was wow I actually don’t feel sick anymore tho was so used to feeling sick or being sick that I almost forgot what it was like to not be sick iysism

@pippa hopefully no 2 will arrive very soon

thingymaboob · 18/11/2017 22:11

@BlueButTrue I'm so happy for you. I'm sorry to hear you're still nauseous. He's a beaut! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Mustang27 · 19/11/2017 09:28

Oh god Blondes I completely sympathise there as I love rice and yet to learn my lesson. I kind of have that attitude too but then I always regret it.

Acid awful and I didn’t keep anything down yesterday expect a cup of raspberry leaf tea at bedtime Confused. I just really want a glass of wine at the moSad.

TwoDrifters · 19/11/2017 11:41

Blue What an absolutely perfect little boy! I hope you’re both doing well and enjoying lots of skin-to-skin cuddles Smile

spearo21 · 19/11/2017 11:49

Congratulations blue! What a beauty!!

pippanippa · 19/11/2017 12:02

Hoping Blue is feeling totally normal now and enjoying lots of cuddles and eating lots too & so glad for you anew that you managed to talk about the dog.

Mustang, sympathies about the acid, it is truly horrible, I hope it gets better soon. Am glad to hear I'm not the only one guzzling raspberry leaf tea at least, it seems generally bland enough for me to keep down most times thankfully.

Hope you're doing ok with the waiting game dead and oklahoma. I have barely had a twinge since friday, so it seems the Dr and midwives prediction of baby by end of the weekend was wrong. Feeling a bit hormonal and fed up as between the nausea and general discomfort I'm struggling to sleep. Will be waddling over to hospital tomorrow morning for monitoring, so maybe the walk will help start things up again. Too tired and sick to bother trying today!

Hello to everyone else too, hope your weekend is bearable.

NonStopDisco · 19/11/2017 12:15

Congratulations Blue

Had frequent, very sharp shooting vagina pains yesterday, followed by strong back pains, and corresponding cramps this morning, but not entirely sure of anything is happening! Would very much like to be going into labour because I’m getting fed up now!

pippanippa · 19/11/2017 13:14

ooh nonstop didn't realise you were due soon too, sorry, losing track! Hope it's the start of something...

NonStopDisco · 19/11/2017 14:47

There’s quite a few November babies on the thread! Not due til Thursday so plenty of time yet, just need to be patient!
