I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

natsku that's fab. Don't suffer unnecessarily though if you find you can't Smile

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 07:38

That's fab snipples Smile

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 07:38

door sex? What is that?

Natsku · 15/11/2017 07:57

Spoke too soon, was just spectacularly sick :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2017 08:32

@quest. Sorry to hear you lost a baby 💐

@natsku. Don’t try without meds. They won’t harm the baby and will help you

No one needs to suffer

Natsku · 15/11/2017 09:14

I don't want to be without meds, it's my doctor that has the other idea. Phone appointment tomorrow, hopefully I can make her understand.

Mustang27 · 15/11/2017 09:34

Skimmed the thread. Still bloody awful feeling seriously has anyone felt like they are back to sq1 in the later weeks of pregnancy? I’m 35 weeks and it’s like my 9ish week again Sad.

Sorry about your loss quest it really is such a horrible thing to go through Flowers

Natsku · 15/11/2017 10:07

I'm feeling the same way Mustang had an eerie sense of deja vu a moment ago when I was standing in the kitchen wondering what the hell I can eat that won't make me sick

Mustang27 · 15/11/2017 10:45

Natsku you have my sympathy completely. My answer to the food dilemma.....nothing it all comes back up HmmEnvy lol I really don’t want to go back to just eating ice lollies.

pippanippa · 15/11/2017 10:48

Congratulations anew, really hope HG is at least more manageable for you this time. So sorry about your recent loss quest

Apologies in advance, this thread has moved very quickly, so I know I've missed lots of people out. Mustang really sorry you're feeling so awful. I did have a horrible week or so around that time, combined with a cold. I finally relented and begged family stay to look after DD. For the first time I retreated to bed for a few days to rest to get some energy and strength back - no cooking, no cleaning, no taking DD out and about, no bedtime/bathtime duties, just watching telly, lying in bed, napping. If there's the remotest possibility you can do it, go for it - I know I really needed it and it did help and although I couldn't spend much time with DD it meant a few days later I could take better care of her again.

No exciting updates from me. I have a cold which I'm desperately hoping to get rid of it in time for labour, I had one last time I gave birth so surely it can't be fair for that to happen twice?! No sign of labour yet - checkup tomorrow so will see where we're at then. In the meantime vomiting continues as normal. Oh how I look forward to not having to think about how things will taste when vomited back!

Lucinda glad to hear your DH is on the mend!

Natsku · 15/11/2017 10:50

Even the thought of an ice lolly is making me queasy. I think fruit is probably my best bet as it's been throughout, need to go to the shop when OH finishes doing his paperwork.

LucindaE · 15/11/2017 11:26

Everyone, really sorry but have to go down to High Wycombe at short notice. Lovely Blondeshavemorefun has agreed to watch over the thread. She has an eight months baby after ten years worth of ttc and Hyeremesis throughout. Thank you, lovely Blondes!
Welcome to new people, I do hope that DeadDoorPost and BlueButtrue have their babies with them asap and everyone else doesn't suffer too much.

Has anyone tried acupuncture? Think I’m going to give it a try at the first hint of nausea. Have read very positive things? Specifically remember the ONLY relief I got last time was from a full body massage that my mum gave me.

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 11:38

anew Lucinda had a really positive experience with acupuncture. I didn't. I was having it throughout ivf and she tried to help with the nausea but it did absolutely naff all and nausea got worse so I stopped as I couldn't leave the house for the appointments in the end. She also pissed me off after my first hospital admission by gingering me so that was final straw!

lucinda hope all is ok.

natsku and mustang that's so unfair, my sympathies.

pippa hope that cold goes, labour seems enough to deal with on its own!

anewjourney · 15/11/2017 11:56

Just Really good to know it helped Lucinda but sorry it didn’t for you. Looks like it varies then but will definitely be giving it a go. Anything for some relief!!

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 11:57

anew absolutely, I hope it works for you!

Shehz21 · 15/11/2017 12:14

justtheonethen Thank you for offering to share the list! Really need to plan out before Christmas sales.

Quest Sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

anewjourney Totally try it as there's so much mixed experiences but it could work out for you so definitely give it a try!

Natsku Cry,beg, argue but make sure you get the message across that you need the medecines! It's so unfair on you to suffer at this point especially while having DC to look after.

Mustang So sorry about the horrendous days going on. I really hope it gets a bit better until the delivery. You are really so close to the end. I wish HG would just hide its ugly nose ATLEAST towards the end. It must be even worse dealing with it all the while with a big belly, feeling uncomfortable 3/4 of the time plus with LO to care for.

pippa Hope you get rid of that nasty cold soon! You don't have long to go as well along with Dead and the others! Just a couple more days hopefully ladies.. and you will be able to have ALL THE FOOD without a second thought.

Shehz21 · 15/11/2017 12:16

Dead you are amazing to have been able to have sex in the third trimester. I am so uncomfortable with my body since 20 weeks something that DH knows he has to be in and out like a yoyo if he wants any kind of action(I'm too scared I might vomit on him/myself sorry TMI Grin

DeadDoorpost · 15/11/2017 12:40

just my DH had started to wonder the same thing lol 😂😂
pippa I'm fighting off the beginning stages of a cold. We could both be in labour with one so you won't be alone.
shwhz I LOLed reading your message to me ahaha. To be fair we've done it more often in 3rd tri just because ive felt relatively normal. 1st tri I don't even think we did it. 2nd tri... Maybe once or twice but that was it. Last night wasn't exactly on the cards but DH was all snuggled up with me half asleep and he looked so cute so I kissed his face and then he kissed me and that was it. It was actually comfortable for the first time though. I have a feeling baby is moving further down.

So today has been full of the fanny daggers and apparently that's the baby moving further down. So I've now got my fingers crossed I'll be there in the pink castle by the end of the week. You watch now though. He'll come late just to wind me up.
My sister also gets here 8am tomorrow. I had hoped to go into labour before she got here to settle down and get used to having a baby as it still doesn't feel real and I'm not used to it but there we go.

And since yesterday evening I've had a strange calm feeling come over me. Maybe that's another sign. Whereas the whole of the rest of yesterday I was agitated and snappy and in a foul mood. It's really odd.

Natsku · 15/11/2017 13:23

anew my friend's friend had acupuncture and it really helped her sickness

Shezh I am going to cry, beg, and argue for sure! And if that fails, I'm going to a private doctor. At least DD takes care of herself for the most part, I'm very lucky in that respect. OH is cooking for him and DD so I don't even have to smell any food and I've bought lots of fruit and some oat digestives.

I've had sex exactly twice since getting pregnant Grin It's just too uncomfortable

Fingers crossed Door!
My husband won’t have sex with me anymore after I confessed that the positions I enjoy cause joint pain afterwards (and I got painful Braxton Hicks as well last time!).
Thought I was going to be ok this week, no vomiting for a couple of days, did a weeks worth in an evening last night. I’ve done this all the way through; a couple of days vomit-free and I think I’m great! And then I do too much, end up worse and taking ages to recover!

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 13:58

Feeling a lot better about the lack of sex in this household Grin.

justtheonethen · 15/11/2017 13:59

Oooh door I hope you're at the pink castle by the end of the week!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2017 14:15

If it makes you all feel better I didn’t have sex at all in preg. Big cheese doc advised not to and tbh after ttc 10yrs and 4 failed ivf , when finally preg you listen to them

Was hard as I was bloody horney even with sickness and nausea
