I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is great: 024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.

So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Just here to complain about the heat and how it's making me feel sick really. It's way too hot and I just want to be at home.

Lemondrop99 · 26/08/2017 17:58

Blue, placentas can move quite late so fingers crossed yours shifts!

Good luck for the scan Amelia.

Right there with you Door. I vomited several times this morning and then had to travel home from Yorkshire to London. That train wasn't too bad but the 45 mins on a tube from Kings X was horrific

DeadDoorpost · 26/08/2017 19:02

I've got train journeys back home to Cornwall from Kent on Tuesday so I'm hoping for cold weather. Ain't gonna want to be stuck on a hot train for 5 or 6 hours

Mustang27 · 26/08/2017 23:56

It's been so humid last week or so up here I just feel like I'm constantly sweating and vomiting has definitely ramped up but I'm with Dead now where I'm singling out things that are making my sickness worse. Also had a really bad IBS flare which has been unbearable at times pain is excruciating.

Hope your kidneys are holding up Natsku.

Il keep everything crossed for you Dead for a pleasant train journey. I'm quite fond of the Glasgow to London pendalino.

Oh active baby Amelia hope they are a little more obliging for next scan, rascal.

Oh dear Blue, do you ever get good news???hugs. I've had lots of friends that have had c-sections and they have nothing but positive things to say plus if hubby is about for some extra time after baby is born just milk it and get him to do ALL the heavy lifting, especially the kettle Wink.

Hope you are feeling better now Lemon after your travels.

Natsku · 27/08/2017 08:37

Hope the train journeys go OK dead I've got transport journeys on Wednesday and Thursday unless court gets cancelled at the last minute, not looking forward to it. I'll happily send our cold weather your way though! Soon will need to start putting the heating on if it carries on this way.

My kidneys are holding up well thanks mustang

LucindaE · 27/08/2017 11:20

Bluesyou I hope placenta moves. At least you will have no birth damage which may lead to prolapse later on, that is one thing. I'll add your date. Aha, a Scropio baby, if you follow horoscopes. I'll add your date.
Ameliablue Good luck for scan: almost certainly not needed.

DeadDoorPost and Mustang Sorry this heat is making you suffer. IBS sounds awful. I hope you have fans on, and a stock of ice lollies to hand.
Natsku It was cold for ages here -I got caught in hailstorms when walking on the Famu Mountain - and then suddenly the summer has re-started.
I hope everyone is coping today.

Managed to sleep my headache away from.last night so leeping an eye on my liquid intake today. Weather is still too hot.
And my nan's neighbours are screaming and crying and I want to shoot them. The mother seems to just yell and swear at the kids. It's nasty.
Natsku I'll happily take your cold weather. I've never liked the summer.

justtheonethen · 27/08/2017 18:28

Can I be on the list please. 9th March. I think user is the same.

Absolutely bricking it about my scan on Wednesday.

LucindaE · 28/08/2017 10:00

DeadDoorPost Poor you about the headache yesterday - I'm glad it's gone. Those hormonal/migraine type pregnancy headaches are awful. Plus, the close weather must have made it far worse. I was expecting DD in one of the hottest summers on record - it was torment. Ridiculous anecdote; a neighbour said to me, 'You were pregnant ALL summer'. Well, yes; I didn't get a sabbatical leave halfway through...Yelling children can be awful when your head hurts. It's sad about those children. Sometimes the very women who should not have any as they don't even like them, have lots and resent it.
justtheone I have, as they say of Facebook, added you. Which user is that who shares your date? 9 March. That's my sister's birthdate. I regard 9 as a really lucky number - and 17, the date for Bluesyou.

justtheone I meant to say, it can be a very anxious time waiting for scan results - but the chances are massively that you will be back on here happily showing the scan picture - which may be clear enough for even me to understand.

justtheonethen · 28/08/2017 10:19

I shall consider that a victory if you can lucinda Grin. Not sure which user, I thought we only had one!

Natsku · 28/08/2017 10:46

The OB forgot to renew my prescription so had to call out of hours as he's not in his office again until Thursday, so waiting now for a doctor to call me back and hopefully renew the prescription. Was horribly sick in the middle of the night, so acidic (usually I've been sick very soon after eating or drinking so its not been so bad) and only got a couple of hours sleep so pretty desperate for those meds now.

justtheonethen · 28/08/2017 11:33

Oh no natsku that's rubbish. Fingers crossed you get them soon.

Natsku · 28/08/2017 18:07

Doctor called eventually and renewed my prescription thank goodness, hopefully I'll sleep well tonight as I've got work tomorrow.

MagnumAddict · 28/08/2017 23:35

I can't actually believe I've made it to the top of the list!!!!!!!

I look back at some of my dark days and was so low, both on the list and in general! Well tomorrow I will reach the pink castle.... Planned section awaits. Feeling really nervous but ready.

Low points of pregnancy
Feeling like I was failing my toddler DS by just being too ill to be myself
Being sick, sick, sick.
Food aversions
Zero excitement (until HG finally passed)

High points
Severe sickness going at about 25 weeks
Baby kicks in the later stages
Getting a bit of energy back, even when short lived.

I can't thank Lucinda and the people on this thread enough. I have been a massive lurker at times, especially since I've been improved but wanted to come on and wish everyone all the best especially those with the longest to go Flowers

Ameliablue · 29/08/2017 07:43

Good luck today Magnumaddict

justtheonethen · 29/08/2017 08:05

Good luck magnum

BlueIsYou · 29/08/2017 08:45

Magnum Good luck and an early congratulations Flowers

Lemondrop99 · 29/08/2017 08:52

Just swinging by to wish you good luck Magnum! Meeting your baby today Grin Bet you can't wait to reach the pink castle. Looking forward to your next update.

I half wish I was having a planned section or induction. Not because I want either (I really don't!), but I would love to have a guaranteed end date. At the moment, I can't bare the thought of going overdue, and I'm butterfly convinced I'll go overdue by the full two weeks 😫

Not too bad at this end. I'm exhausted from washing mounds of baby clothes, it's taking days! I still only have my hospital bag half sorted because I don't have the energy to buy the other stuff. Might need Amazon to come to the rescue. I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but I'm convinced baby dropped a few days ago, as suddenly I can breathe again and eat without feeling like I'm literally going to explode, so that's bought a bit of relief.

Hope everyone else is feeling a bit better. Wishing you all a good day

Natsku · 29/08/2017 10:26

Hood luck magnum!

LucindaE · 29/08/2017 10:45

MagnumAddict It's lovely to hear from you again and I'm delighted you have a section tommorow. So nice of you to come back on. I am glad things got a lot better later on. I was wondering how things were with you. I must get the fabled Pink Castle ready for you. I wish I'd had a planned section myself -then I wouldn't have all these problems with my pelvic floor - but they weren't keen on them back then. I am so glad that you found this thread useful; whatever way you wished to use it was the way to go for you and it's nice to hear from you again.
Lemondrop Thank goodness you have had some relief. It sounds as if the baby has dropped. I hope that does ease the awful symptoms of reflux etc a bit.
Ameliabue How are things? You have supported others, but not commented on how things are with you for a while.
Natsku I am glad you got the meds - and Don't Overdo It at Work, says Mother Hen. Is it a planned return - shorter hours at first etc?
onlytheone We have three or four Users I think, with different numbers. I have to admit to getting a bit confused myself. With a distinctive name, I can make up a mental picure and then get to know that poster as an individual more easily!

Bluesyou How are things generally? I hope not too stressful, but with OH job hunting, it must be difficult. I hope you are not too exhausted from forcing yourself into work.
I hope everybody is managing. Not so hot today, at least.

Mustang27 · 29/08/2017 11:22

Good luck today Magnum.

Oh wow I forgot that feeling Lemon it's nice when they start getting in position. Can I suggest you pack some flapjacks the big fat sweet ones for after labour and you get hungry. Oats are supposed to be good for milk supply (if you are bf) also they taste like heaven after months of hg and the are good to nibble and go back too as and when you need oh and yogurt coated banana chips they both keep for ages and fine to pop in the bottom of your hospital bag. Just incase you go in the wee hours of the morning it can be a long time to wait for food and my hospital were absolutely awful I had to beg for a jug of water they didn't offer anything else but tbf they probably didn't have gf options.

Glad you got the meds Natsku, hope work goes ok for you.

Natsku · 29/08/2017 11:51

I dropped to two days a week as soon as the sickness got bad Lucinda work tends to be really easy, the main issue is trying not to fall asleep on the sofa! Even so I just feel so weak and tired today I would have gone home early if I hadn't done that so many times lately.

Urgh the annoyance of being GF in hospital mustang I'm going to take so much snacky food with me this time as they only have GF stuff for the set mealtimes and never anytime else.

Mustang27 · 29/08/2017 12:18

Haha we live and learn Natsku. I did have flapjacks packed thankfully last time as someone had previously warned me but I'd have had nothing foodwise packed at all as I'm not normally organised lol.

I'm only just starting to not need a nap during the day at 24 weeks I'm hoping the weak tired feeling does one for you soon too.

Ameliablue · 29/08/2017 12:42

Not too bad Lucinda. Pills are managing the sickness so it's mainly nausea, headaches and tiredness. I'm gearing myself up for the idea of going back to work next week. Baby was a little more cooperative this morning so now confirmed as 14 weeks 5 days with a due date of 22nd February.
