I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is great: 024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.

So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Glad you had a lovely wedding day @blue 💐

Mustang27 · 07/08/2017 10:18

Oh gosh Blue I'd marry you and I'm really not that way inclined Grin. You look absolutely gorgeous. Your professional photos will be just amazing. So glad you had a fab day. Make the most of your last day in the hotel do something lovely and relax and hopefully baby Blue is on their best behaviour.

Just had my anomaly scan having to go back in as they said they couldn't get the right measurements for the spine Sad more worry.

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 10:18

Oh wow blue! You look stunning. Congratulations Flowers

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 12:21

Hi all. I'm feeling tentatively good. On a cocktail of ondansetron, metoclopromide and ranitidine which I'm hopeful will work.

Just had my booking appointment and had a traumatic blood taking from hand as I have no veins in my arms anymore.
Apart from that all fine. She was very impressed with my co2 reading and as I am a swot I feel like .

I actually feel like I want to shop for baby now, and more importantly I've remembered that I do want this baby which I was find it hard to hold on to this past week.

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 12:21

Feel like Halo that should say!

Mustang27 · 07/08/2017 12:29

Just, had that done a few times they stabbed me in the bone and my partner passed out. Glad you are feeling a bit more upbeat.

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 12:53

😱 think I would have passed out if I had been watching!

Natsku · 07/08/2017 12:55

I had them use a children's needle to get my blood out when I was dehydrated

justtheonethen · 07/08/2017 14:10

That's what she used in my hand!

Lemondrop99 · 07/08/2017 15:53

Beautiful photos Blue. I'm glad you had a great day

Mustang, was it just because baby was lying in an awkward position? Try not to worry to much (easier said than done!). Do you know when you go back

I feel bloody awful today. Nauseous as anything and I know it's only a matter of time before I throw up. I'm starting to think the pregnacare vitamins are contributing to my nausea. On top of this I have a stinking headache, seem to have a cold coming on (sore throat, sore ears) and I've somehow pulled my arm. Gone to bed feeling really miserable. 32 weeks and counting...

Lemondrop99 · 07/08/2017 15:55

Sounds awful Just. I had a traumatic experience with bloods at my booking appointment too. They tried four times between two midwifes and I was just to dehydrated for it to come out. They gave up in the end and I had the bloods taken a few weeks later. It was horrible. Sympathy to you

satsoooma · 07/08/2017 17:08

Yep I couldn't take the pregnacare vitamins lemon. Made me vomit every time. As long as you take the nice small vitamin D tablets, you really don't need them anyway.

Lemondrop99 · 07/08/2017 17:44

Yeah, I'm going to get some plain Vit D only tablets at the chemist tomorrow and see if that helps. So tired of this whole thing. I said to DH that I don't know how much more of this I can take - which is a ridiculous thing to say really, as what other choice do I have?!

Lemondrop99 · 07/08/2017 17:46

Oh and I did throw up, about 10 mins after writing that post! I only ate a tiny lunch and now have thrown up the only thing I've eaten today Hmm I mean, it's better than the 10 times a day bike vomits I had in the beginning, but it's still so exhausting

DeadDoorpost · 07/08/2017 20:44

Took me 20 mins and 2 midwives to get blood out of me for my booking appointment. And then was really lightheaded after because I saw the blood.

Headache here as well Lemon so I'm sympathising with ya.

Went out for the day with DH and enjoyed the lovely beach view for lunch. Jealous much?😂😂😂 best thing is we live near beaches so we have a huge number to pick from.

Blue - congrats on your wedding, you looked stunning. And yay for mini-blue staying put.

Lemon - I'm pretty sure my pregnancy vitamins set me off too. Don't worry about not being able to take them too much.

38 weeks today and just vomited up breakfast for the first time in months. Yay. Wasn't expecting to puke again until labour, so this is a bit of a shock.

DeadDoorpost · 07/08/2017 21:47

mellee maybe you're close to it if you're vomiting it back up? But then, don't know if you want an early birth or not...

TwoDrifters · 07/08/2017 23:13

Blue you looked beautiful - I'm so glad you were able to enjoy your special day!

Mellee I'm almost certain there can't be many more vomit sessions left for you to suffer through. You're so close now! You can do this!

Flowers and hugs to everyone else x

Daffodil397 · 08/08/2017 00:10

Ana thinking of you Flowers
Blue congratulations Mrs Blue!! You look fabulous in those pics
Mellee hang on, not long now, wow this last bit is hard eh?
Ready for baby to come now. Can't sleep and perma-exhausted. Keep trying to do some therapeutic bouncing on my yoga ball to help things along and dd comes along all excited and wants to bounce on it as well which makes it less than relaxing!
User glad you got ondansetron. Flipping cheek them withholding it cos of cost. I was going to offer to post you the rest of my box that I've stopped using now!
Big hugs to everyone else, particularly Lemon sounds like you are having a rotten day Flowers
Xx

Melleebacca · 08/08/2017 00:28

Deaddoor - the only day I don't want baby to come is tomorrow as it will be nephew's birthday and I don't want the hassle of joint birthday celebrations. But baby can come any time after that please.

Daffodil - I got my ball out yesterday as was feeling very achy. DD took it and had great fun chasing the dog with it. 😂
