4 weeks pregnant- lets share experience and advice!

Hi ladies, I've just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant and wanted to set up this thread to talk to people in the same boat as me! At the moment I've very worried, thoughts of MCs in my head etc, worries for late periods arriving and am looking to chat to people who are at the same stage as me, or have been! :) thanks xxx

Ready salted hoops and watermelon is what I'm after all the time! Thankfully not together!
But yes, eating little and often to try to ward sickness off. I have good days and bad days with mine, and I find if I eat really early then it's much worse. Not a not side effect but after the past few days I've had I'm embracing it all!

Glad I'm not the only one on the hoola hoops!
I think for me the nausea is worse when I'm tired but I've had a good sleep last night so today the nausea is barely noticeable as compared to the other day when I was knackered and literally felt hungover all day!
But like you say, embrace all those icky symptoms as it's worth it!

Yeah I can't help feeling a bit short changed with that! Off the booze for 9 months + and yet I'm the one who feels hungover all day, every day, whilst OH feels rough for a few hours then he's fine! 😳😂😂

Just got back from my midwife appointment I'm very low risk yay! And god they don't have give you some stuff! I'm hooked on mini cheders!

Is that low risk in terms of the screening processes for downs etc?

Yes!:) very exited now just want my scan date to come in the post asap!

Oh so were the result instantaneous then? I thought this was your first appt? At my first one they just gave me all the forms to fill in! It obviously works different everywhere!

Oh I don't know she filled in this massive blue folder and asked me 100 family questions and then told me I'm low risk 🙄 they also took loads of blood my other half nearly passed out what a wimp glad he's not giving birth!!!

soph they'll base risk on health conditions, age and things like that.
As you're relatively young (I was 25 when first pregnant) I was told my risk of developing complications was much lower than if I'd been 15 years older for example.
I think they'd have mentioned if they thought you were particularly high risk.

I'm currently dated as due date 22nd March (although if anything like last time I might as well expect them in April )

I'm still waiting on my 1st booking appointment with midwife. Think there is a waiting time here.... can't wait to get started. Don't think I'll get information packs etc till that appointment... fingers crossed not too long to wait
