Hi ladies, I've just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant and wanted to set up this thread to talk to people in the same boat as me! At the moment I've very worried, thoughts of MCs in my head etc, worries for late periods arriving and am looking to chat to people who are at the same stage as me, or have been! :) thanks xxx

Hi SophSoph! No, not yet. I have long cycles, of usually 33 days, so I think today would be my last day normally.

Still having very little symptoms. Going to buy a clear blue digital today. Does this measure from ovulation or from last period- does anyone know? Should I be expecting 2-3 weeks? What if it's less?
Can anyone tell I'm nervous Wink

I'm going to book an early private scan like I did with my dd. I said I wouldn't, but to see the little baked bean jumping around and hearing heartbeat helped ease my anxieties last time. I have zero nausea thins time so I'm even more worried.

Have a lovely day everyone!

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 08:17

I did my clear blue on Saturday, so I was 3+3 after AF, but 1+4 after ovulation. The test said 1-2 weeks so I think it goes from ovulation :) but correct me if I'm wrong :) xxx

If it's less maybe it's just that the HCG levels are slightly lower than 2+ weeks or you're just on the cusp, but apparently that's a very relative thing and every woman is different. Let us know how you get on! Xxx

Managed to get in at 11:20 thank goodness for that!

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 08:45

Ah that's great news! Good luck :)

Can I join you ladies? I'm 5 weeks today with my third. I've had 2 chemicals since ttc this time so hoping this one will stick. I've had slight nausea so far so waiting for symptoms to properly kick in!

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 09:11

Hi @HazyDays81 of course you can!
So sorry to hear about before :/ fingers massively crossed for you this time! I've been reading up on chemicals and must admit the info there is on them isn't very clear xxx

HazyDays81 · 12/07/2017 14:38

Thanks SophSoph92 I'm trying to be positive, hopefully won't happen again. To be honest I'd never heard of a chemical pregnancy until it happened & I started googling. When is your due date? X

1000jobstodo · 12/07/2017 18:15

My CB digital said 1-2 weeks, so I must've ovulated later than I thought. I realise looking at the calendar that the midwife would date me at 5w1, but I'm actually only just 4.

The first time round I knew exactly how many days I was Grin but this time I'm just trying to relax following a chemical a few months back. The dating scan will set us all straight with dates anyway won't it!

I very much enjoyed seeing 'pregnant' instead of searching for lines!
So I reckon due to my longggg cycles I'm due around 20th March?
My dd was 'overdue' but I see now that my cycles are all over the place and she wasn't as overdue as I thought.

How's everyone doing today?

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 18:19

All good here thank you! 🤗Hit the 4 week mark today and still no sign of AF. That's 3 days late and it's never happened so I'm feeling positive! I just hope it's a sticky little bean. I still find it weird having period like cramps though.
Who knew you could be so in love with something that is almost too small to see! 💙💗 bring on my 6 week midwife appt! Trying not to count down the days though 🙈🙈

I went to the doctors this morning and I've got to now wait for the mid wife to call me... so inpatient! He told me as long as I don't get a fever or food poisoning I should be okay so I'm eating biscuits for the next 6 weeks 😂😂😂

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 21:29

Aha good tactic!!! Love it! So glad you got to see someone though xxx

He's like no salad no ham I'm like well I'm trying to be healthy! He said don't bother just eat safe so that's what I'm doing! When are you going to tell your boss? I'm very close to mine and I can trust her and if it did end badly I'd tell her anyway but I don't know if this is too soon!

SophSoph92 · 12/07/2017 22:14

Oh how come no salad or ham???
Yea I told mine but only because I've got a really public facing role, so she's taken me off that immediately xxx

OP posts:
issy2165 · 12/07/2017 22:22

Because you can get food poisoning I have no idea how or why! And fair enough I think I'm going to tell mine tomorrow in case she thinks I'm not pulling my weight haha

SophSoph92 · 13/07/2017 08:35

Oh fair enough! No salad for me today then 😂
Good idea, I'm sure she'll be discrete. I know my boss has been. Already saying she'll think of excuses to tell the team when I'm at my midwife appointment! She is amazing 👌🏼
Hope everyone is ok today! I'm feeling a bit sickly and still period like twinges but otherwise all ok here!

No salad and no ham?! That's ridiculous. You can have both of those things. Goodness knows where your GP got the idea. Just wash salad thoroughly before you eat it and ensure that any cold meat you have is cooked rather than cured (i.e. ham rather than chorizo).

SophSoph92 · 13/07/2017 10:22

Nooooo! I love chorizo 😂😂

OP posts:
peachgreen · 13/07/2017 12:50

Definitely no cured meats! Check the NHS website, it has a good list of foods to avoid.

issy2165 · 13/07/2017 13:04

Crazy! I've just told my boss got that was more scary than telling my parents!!!

SophSoph92 · 13/07/2017 13:20

How did she/he take it?

OP posts:
issy2165 · 13/07/2017 13:22

She took it really well she has a 18month old herself so she gave me some advise on what to do until I get that scan! Basically stay away from all the chemicals on the farm and think what I'm doing before doing it haha! There's a big party here at the weekend so it would have looked odd me not drinking at all l!

issy2165 · 13/07/2017 14:36

What are you guys eating to stay full up I'm so hungry all the time I had 5 weetabix for breakfast and was hungry again at 9am 🙄

Moodykat · 13/07/2017 18:30

Hi! Can I join?

According to the NHS pregnancy calculator I am also 4 weeks - due on 20th March although obviously that will all change at the dating scan!

This is DC3 for us, DS1 is 8 (will be 9) and DS2 is 5 (will be 6) so we had just started to get our lives back again. This was a bit of a surprise!

These first few weeks are so stressful and rubbish! Am hoping they fly by!

Also, the day before I POAS I booked flights and hotel for a weekend break in Amsterdam with DH for our anniversary. That's not quite going to be the holiday I had imagined!

issy2165 · 13/07/2017 18:52

Congratulations! Do you know how long it takes for your midwife to contact you after you have seen your doctor?
