4 weeks pregnant- lets share experience and advice!

Hi ladies, I've just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant and wanted to set up this thread to talk to people in the same boat as me! At the moment I've very worried, thoughts of MCs in my head etc, worries for late periods arriving and am looking to chat to people who are at the same stage as me, or have been! :) thanks xxx

I'm 5 + 4 with my first pregnancy....God willing! They don't see you until 10 weeks where I live....and they don't have a self referral procedure either. So annoying. I just want to make sure I really, really am pregnant and that everything is ok!

Oh no Soph that's awful I hope it's nothing and everything is okay! Have you had any scans yet?

@issy2165 horrific at the moment, nausea is crippling me but I've got some travel sickness bands which seem to be helping. Still yet to book midwife appointment but shall be doing so tonight!

How heavy was your spotting? You must be quite far along now!

7 weeks tomorrow :(
I'd say between about a teaspoon and a tablespoon, maybe a little bit less and it is dark brown in colour but you see these things along with the cramping and fear the worst. I've not had a scan yet, actually had an early one booked for reassurance next weds on my 8 week marker so tomorrow will be my first and will be scary ☹️
I'm impressed with the doctors though, to get an early scan the following day wasn't what I was expecting.
Really don't know how to think.

Hello can I join in? Found out on Friday and think am 5 weeks in. It's my 2nd baby (I have a 2.5 yr old). Very excited and starting to feel all those early pregnancy symptoms but mainly the nausea and tiredness! Hope you all doing ok

So it's been over a week since found out. Done the whole docs appt thing and that's all fine.
I'm not excited yet because nausea has hit me hard. I can't stomach smells and cant cook for fear of vomiting. Apart from that it's all good 👍

Fingers crossed it's just a cyst or something like I had :) let us know how it goes! Lots of baby wishes to you!

Soph try not to worry.
My reason for not being on here much was last Tuesday night I went to the toilet and noticed bright red blood. There was a lot of it. And I had awful cramps. Of course I burst into tears as I know brown blood/spotting is ok but that isn't. Anyway, I had to wait 3 miserable days for a scan.
Thankfully in my case, everything was fine! I was 6+1 and saw a heartbeat. Staff were amazing and so supportive once id said my symptoms.

So, although of course you're going to be worried, I hope this gives you hope! I practically skipped home Friday. They told me that I would probably have spotting for a while, and brown spotting is normal and fine.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow morning and hope that all is ok. It's a horrible position to be in, and I have everything crossed for you xx

God I feel awful today I feel like I have the flu it's horrible I'm feeling so sorry for myself soaked at work on a farm In the pissing rain 😩 only another 12 hours of my shift to go woo... not sure how long I can keep up these 50 hour weeks for I'm done in 😕

Everything's ok. :)
I saw the heart beat and everything developing normally; they think I'm 7 weeks 4 days.
I have 2 embryonic sacks so they think it could've started out as twins, but one didn't implant or develop properly, which could have explained the cramps and bleeding xxx

Thanks ladies! Also been dated at 7+4 so I'm even further along than I thought! Nearer that 12 week mark!

Great news Soph! Knew it'd be ok. Aww I'm jealous they pushed my dates back, I've been 6 weeks for 2 weeks now
I'm so pleased that everything turned out OK. Now you can put your feet up and relax!

So exiting! I'm over 8 weeks now! Got my first midwifes appointment in the morning :)

Anyone else sometimes eating constantly to ward off the nausea? What is your go to snack? I'm munching on hoola hoops at work.... going to be fat as house! Also I'm a Diet Coke addict so am trying so hard to only have 1 can a day!
