I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is great: 024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.

So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Weasle I'm so sorry this is happening to you Flowers

blue when my DH lost his job, he was able to claim jobseekers immediately. You may also be able to claim tax credits and housing benefit depending on your income. Entitledto.com might be a good place to start, what a stressful thing to go through on top of any pregnancy, not to mention a HG one.

beanhunter · 21/07/2017 21:49

When will I learn not to be pleased with myself? Garlic bread going on my don't eat until HG has gone list.

thingymaboob · 21/07/2017 23:28

I've never felt so ill in my life.
Crippling nausea all day.
Violent vomiting.
Feel so weak.
Only trace ketones.
I am beside myself!

Lemondrop99 · 21/07/2017 23:44

Glad you're feeling a bit better bean. Sorry about the garlic bread though. Rice is top of my "never ever eat with HG" list

Oh dear Thingy Sad Soery you're having such a horrible day. Hopefully isn't s a wave which will pass. Have you taken all your medication today? Have you tried some sugary drink? I found sipping Lucosade helped take the edge off a tiny bit on days like that.

Natsku · 22/07/2017 09:52

Fizzy pop helps me, the sugar and the fizz makes it go down easier (dread to think what state my teeth will be in by the end of this pregnancy!)

LucindaE · 22/07/2017 17:18

thingymaboob The juice of tinned fruit? Cyber pats on offer. It is so hard!
BluesYou As others say, it seems convenient for some companies to use that six month probationary period unscrupulously.
weasledee Thinking of you.
beanhunter I am glad the fluids made you feel so much better, but it sounds as if it was short lived. Garlic bread was a brave attempt!
Natsku That's awful about being fired for sick leave. I was under the mistaken impression that they didn't have a Hire and Fire culture in Iceland (I hope I haven't got it wrong, and you are in Iceland)?
Waves to NonStopDisco, Lemondrop Mustang and everyone.
We'll soon need a new thread.

Ah, and re: a new thread, I remember someone said something about adding another link to the blurb in the next thread, and for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. I am getitng vaguer...

I'm in Finland. They usually have very good worker protections here but just not in the probationary period - they can fire you without reason during that time and just say it wasn't working out.

beanhunter · 22/07/2017 19:32

Thanks. They def did help as I've done more wees in the past 24hrs than I can remember in ages. The complete lack of energy is a killer. I've done minimal amounts today but it's resulted in exhaustion and more vomiting. The iv antisickness drugs are def better than the oral.
I'm not sure if I should get more before we move - I desperately want to go to church tomorrow am though as it's our last service - so I could go after that but that would mean a later start. The other option would be to go Monday but I'm meant to be driving to our new house on Monday! And then i see the midwife on weds so I guess I can see what the iv arrangements are there.

DeadDoorpost · 22/07/2017 19:47

Just a quick pop in. Can't remember the last thing I responded to so sorry for anyone I'm going to miss..

Glad you're feeling better bean

Baby is getting stronger. Think we'll soon be able to feel him kick properly. DH is excited about that.
And I can't wait for my mother to leave on monday. She's driving me crazy and I felt sick today for the first time in a while. Don't think she's helping me.
Graduation was good. Got to meet and talk with Dawn French. Woop.

Aww you both look beautiful. I bloody love Dawn French. Did you watch Delicious? she was brilliant imo. Hope you had a wonderful graduation day.

I hate people staying over mums are generally the worst, they mean well but god it's nice to see them go. I do a lot of sitting about in pants (knickers) and tshirts not really acceptable with guests Blush.

It is wonderful when your oh can experience the kicks , my partner is overly keen at the mo. How many weeks are you again dead?

Bloods back and 1:5 for patau and Edwards... not looking good :(

Mustang27 · 25/07/2017 15:14

Oh weasle I'm so sorry this is utter shit news. I googled those things they are really not great. Is there any more tests left for you to do or is it a case leaving you the choice of wether you continue with the pregnancy now?

Natsku · 25/07/2017 15:52

Oh weasledee :( I'm so so sorry

weasledee · 25/07/2017 16:09

I've having a cvs next week, unless something happens before (baby passes away) as that has also been suggested by the doctor. These babies just aren't compatible with life, horrible phrase but true :(

LucindaE · 25/07/2017 18:39

weasledee Oh my goodness - we have moved onto a new thread - link in my last post below - and I didn't see this message. That is awful for you. I have known a woman have that chance of abnormality and there was nothing wrong with the baby, but the specialists will have told you how far things look bad. Cyber hugs on offer. I wish there was something I could say.

OP posts:
Mustang27 · 25/07/2017 18:40

My heart is breaking for you Weasledee. I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better, can't even imagine how you are feeling. Hugs for you and your bubba it's so bloody unfair!!!

weasledee · 25/07/2017 19:39

Thanks ladies, I can't lie, it's just awful. My sickness has eased significantly the past couple of days too, I'm wondering if this is a bad omen too....? Or it could be that I was finally reaching a point where I'd feel better..... to then go and loose the pregnancy regardless..... pretty cruel x

weasledee · 25/07/2017 19:40

And thanks for new thread, I've moved over there, for now :( x
