Anyone else got the grumps?

Only 30 weeks today... but...

Sore back. Tired after doing Christmas. Grumpy as hell.

I'm staying in bed, it's been decided.
Anyone else want to join me for a duvet day, fake wine and treats? Grin

Pointless I'm sure it's one of those things that people always talk about if they have had a negative experience, if you have a positive one then there isn't much of a need to tell your story because it's dull so you're probably just being bombarded with the horrible side.

Coincidentally a thread came up on MN last night about elcs and lots and lots of people had lovely positive stories to share. Possibly worth taking a look!

Heading off to the hospital this morning, no idea where we are meant to be going though so will probably end up wandering around the hospital for ages haha! Grin

Thanks Ima I will definitely have a look at the thread. I'm just really scared of operations I had a miscarriage a few years ago and had to have surgery and basically I'm just a big wuss 🙈 Hope your ankle is a lot better Hun.

Midwife appointment tomorrow hopefully she will put me more at ease as well. The stretches to get the little blob to move seem to be working. She's kicking in a slightly different position although still at the bottom fingers crossed she flips over.

Hope you ladies are having a good day x

daisygirlmac · 09/01/2017 21:13

Hello all, hope you're not too grumpy today. Can those of you who have done this before answer a question for me please? My bump feels tight and tender, I feel like I've got a bowling ball in my pelvis and I'm getting slightly period type feelings. Could this be the start of something or am I simply at the end of my tether, overexcited and should take myself off to bed? Grin

RedCrab · 09/01/2017 22:01

How far along are you? Could be Braxton Hicks or the start of something. Helpful I know! BHs tend to lessen off and aren't painful - just incredibly uncomfortable. I've been having them every night for two hours since 26 weeks. But your bump does go rock hard. Are they regular type sensations?

daisygirlmac · 09/01/2017 22:07

37 weeks. Nothing is particularly painful but I am comparing that to my usual absolutely horrific period pains so I may be coming at it from a different viewpoint. Bump doesn't seem to be tightening. I think I'm just being hopeful really!

Hyland · 09/01/2017 22:42

I often get that bowling ball feeling too.

So weird that is exactly how i describe it.

Normally whilst walking lots or if I've been sat down fir ages and then stand upright, i get the omg im carring at bowling ball in a plastic bag feeling and it feels like it is about to brake. The need to almost carry my tummy whilst walking.

ShimmeringIce · 13/01/2017 10:14

Me too! (Except mine's a cannonball - watching too many pirate cartoons?) There may be a gap in the market for a little trolley to rest the bump on as you walk about? I've been putting it down to a weight gain (baby, not me) but I've no idea really, does it happen in fits and starts?

I'm late joining as I was even too grumpy to post anything 😬 but I think I'm due about the same date as RedCrab

Can hardly walk, permanently exhausted, feeling terribly guilty that DH is doing everything and I can't jump like a frog when DD asks me to...

Still, it'll all be good in a few years, won't it??

daisygirlmac · 13/01/2017 15:27

Hi shimmering welcome to grumps corner. I'm so fucking tired, constipated and sore today. Can't be bothered with anything! DH on a long shift as well so there is no-one to moan at. I've been and bought two different sorts of cake and might eat them both

ShimmeringIce · 13/01/2017 20:13

Go for it! I'm feeling a bit sick again after about 6 weeks of not and don't really fancy any of the Xmas chocs/biscuits.
I've been at home all week by myself and it's been blissful (taking into account the grumpiness)... hope I can cope with the weekend without just hiding under the duvet!

Pointlesscrap · 13/01/2017 20:45

Hey girls 👋🏼

My ribs feel bruised. Babies head is pushing up and she's been kicking the hell out of my groin...just another 6weeks to go need to keep telling myself that

RedCrab · 13/01/2017 20:53

Hey shimmering! Due date buddy!!

I can't work out how to use the count the kicks app. It say record sessions. But I keep forgetting to end the session because...well I get distracted and don't notice when she stops kicking or moving. So my stats are all screwed and it's all kind of pointless.

God. It's all so hard. Hmm

RedCrab · 14/01/2017 08:22

Having spent the night with DD1 - who is 22 months and fidgets like a motherfucker all night - because it was that or get up and down to go to her a billion times, I've woken up completely spasming everywhere. And extremely grumpy. Just in no mood for small children today, which is unfortunate because I have two. DH is working all day. Bastard. I remember when I was pregnant with DC1 and I used to complain about not being able to get comfortable in bed. This is a whole new level of hell. She wants cuddling all night and I have to lie on the side that gives me the worst restless legs. Then she periodically hooks or unhooks my arms around her all night. All night long, shifting me back and forth. Those of you pregnant with DC1 - don't have more children. Or find a way to get your partner to have the baby Grin

daisygirlmac · 14/01/2017 10:03

Redcrab don't go into sales whatever you do, you'd be terrible Grin

RedCrab · 14/01/2017 11:33

Haha I know, right? Of course, more children is wonderful. But it's soooo much harder being pregnant with subsequent children. And my dd - as ridiculously cute as she is - is a right PITA. Why won't she sleep? Hmm

Imavinoops · 14/01/2017 14:27

Hey everyone!
Busy week is officially over and the MDA is done (thank god!) Good news though, no autism! We are instead looking at "Global Developmental Delay" with a possible ADHD diagnosis in the future when DSS is a little older and more able to be diagnosed. All very very positive.

It was such a hard old week though, dragging into the hospital every day, DSS fought it at every avenue, liked the playroom but kicked and screamed for the rest of it. Very tiring. Plus, the ankle is still sore! Sad

Also my tops are starting to show off the bottom of my belly. Blush

Baby seems to be in the right position now though which is good!

We are tidying today. It's very boring. Bah!

RedCrab · 14/01/2017 15:53

ima that's really great news about the autism result. You must be so relieved. I know it must be so hard to have anything wrong with your child at all, but it sounds like you're heading in the right direction. My friend's boy has global developmental delay and she's successfully persuaded the local schools to take him a year later - three of them no less, so they have options. And noire hospital visits for a while too!

Imavinoops · 14/01/2017 16:43

Yes, we are very pleased! It's very worrying but we are pleased we have a bit more of a direction to go in now. Grin Lot's of fabulous therapies and activities to start! Huzzah!

Wow, that's good! We are going to aim for September this year for our little boy. We are thinking that being around older children will hopefully be very good for him, he seems to learn quite a lot playing with older children and there are going to be a couple of school years in his class. Currently working on trying to get him to sit to learn how to hold his pencil properly. Actually, that reminds me, better go do it! Grin

Ah good news ima

I have popped in to report I have found a partial cure for the grumps Grin

I've just had a massage and she had a couch with a hole in it for my bump it would have been worth the £35 just to lie on my front comfortably for an hour but with a massage as well it was the best bloody £35 I have ever spent

RedCrab · 18/01/2017 15:26

God that sounds like heaven daisy!

daisygirlmac · 18/01/2017 17:05

It was! Cheered me right up Grin I'm having a treat every week until this baby makes an appearance
