Blimey. I've been lurking around mumsnet for a few months while ttc, but have only posted a couple of times. Didn't expect to be the one starting this thread!

Got a BFP yesterday (in the loo at work - classy!) and another one this morning.

According to fertility friend the due date is 9th feb.

It'll be our first, and we're both a bit shell-shocked. But happy, I think!

Is anyone else due in feb? I could really do with someone to compare notes with. I'm dying to tell my friends and family, but feel that we should leave it a few weeks, really..

Anyway ? hello everybody!

Hi guys - may I join you? Had a dating scan last week and am currently 11 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child due on 21st Feb. Hoping to have a nuchal scan in the next week or so but haven't had a date through yet. Will probably ring them (Kings)later on this week if I haven't heard anything. My boobs are enormous and tender and have been feeling quite queasy but haven't been actually sick. The exhaustion is crushing though and have had to take a couple of days sick leave as a result.

Feeling a bit apprehensive about the whole thing especially as this pregnancy wasn't planned. I wanted a third, partner didn't. We decided to have a 'dice man' moment and one night of no contraception later and here I am! Anyway, like me, partner is excited but nervous about how we will cope with threechildren. I have been reading the other threads about this subject with interest!

Hi Bunjies, welcome to our thread, will have to do a list soon of all the people on it and their edd as there seem to be lots now.
Hope you start to feel better soon - my nausea has all but gone, but still v tired.

2ticks · 06/08/2004 12:38

Unbelievable - they have cancelled my booking in appointment again - at least they phoned me this morning to tell me it was cancelled, rather than last week's fiasco. At this rate I will be having my booking in appointment whilst on the delivery suite

Hope everyone is well.

mckenzie · 10/08/2004 14:41

afternoon all. Just thought i'd drop by to tell you that the sickness has finished, the tiredness is abating and my sex drive is back. About time too.

How's everyone else doing?

Angeliz · 10/08/2004 14:54

Glad you're feeling good Mckenzie

I am not feeling queesy very often (though still have to lie and take a few deep breaths quite often with dd on settee!!
I have alot of energy in the morning ,i've been to museum and shopping with dd today but am SHATTERED now!!

and sex ..............what's that again?????

2ticks · 10/08/2004 17:17

sex... isn't that what got us into this sickness & tiredness business in the first place!!!

I have a third attempt at my booking in appointment tomorrow. The midwife is going to do a home visit - providing she hasn't been attending a home birth the night before - keep your fingers crossed for me!!

mckenzie · 10/08/2004 17:19

fingers and thumbs crossed for you 2ticks.

futurity · 10/08/2004 18:58

I'm doing ok..still tired and feeling sick if I haven't eaten but doing ok. Had my nuchal scan today and all fine..will have a better idea after blood tests next week.

Also found out that the baby MAY be a boy! She said it is far too early to be certain but that it is "likely" to be a boy. We did see things that looked like boy bits but will have to wait until the 20 week scan to be sure.

Kinda thought it would be a boy in that I am having the same sort of pregnancy as with DS but I know that doesn't mean anything. Not bothered either way but interesting to have an idea this early...will see what the 20 week scan brings in 7 weeks time!

2ticks · 11/08/2004 16:56

Hooray - booking in appointment finally happened this morning - at last!

12 weeks next Monday and have the nuchal fold scan booked for that date too - will be so glad to finally reach the 12 week mark - I find this first bit goes so slowly!

Hope everyone is feeling well.

Xavia · 13/08/2004 21:49

Hi, I'm new to this site but wanted to say am now 12 weeks with 3rd. Very unexpected but what the heck. Large boobs, fat tum but at least the feeling of sickness and tiredness has subsided. Good Luck to everyone.

Staceyk · 16/08/2004 16:39

Hi all 12+4 today still no symptoms at all! Still not seen or heard from a midwife.
Still not been given any leaflets advice at all!
Still not told a soul only me & DH know
Still don't feel pg at all.
Got 12 weeks scan on Wednesday so hoping someone will tell me something then.

Angeliz · 16/08/2004 22:24

2ticks, glad you had your app and 12 weeks today

Xavia, CONGRATULATIONS

StaceyK, hope you are well and get some re-assurance soon..

As for me, i'm o.k. PLEASE tell me that my emotions are gonna calm down soon. I just rang my mam happy as Larry. I had snapped at dd today for constantly interupting and my mam said she thought i was hard on her. I burst into tears
I HATE anything coming between me and dd, she is my little soul and it REAAAAAAAAAAALY upsets me!!

Oh for normal hormones
Have scan on Friday so will hopefully feel better.
Also, i am off to a wedding on Saturday (groan) i will be 13+3, would you have a glass of wine?? I haven't fancied a drink yet but i do now!!

2ticks · 16/08/2004 22:43

Hooray - 12 weeks today and had my nuchal fold scan - all's well and it looks like we are going to have another boy - that isn't 100% certain, we will have to ask again at the 20 week scan. Can't wait for the sickness and tiredness to ease off - happened at about 14 weeks last time, so not too far to go now.

Angeliz - I know what you mean about the hormones. I was really snappy with DS this evening as he has this habit of playing with my hair when he's having his bedtime milk - it sounds like a really lovely, cute thing, but for some reason it drives me mad. I told him to leave it alone and he looked at me with eyes just full of betrayal - I felt awful. We had extra big cuddles at bedtime though so were friends again in the end!

I would definately have a glass of wine at the wedding by the way - I am off to one in a couple of weeks and am already looking forward to my glass of wine there!!

Momof2 · 19/08/2004 10:43

Hi Everyone,
Finally the nausea has completely gone, although am still being sick occassionally.
Is anyone else waking in the early hours and unable to get back to sleep? I keep waking up at 2am and then lying there until 4am (or annoying DP by turning on the light and reading)?
I am worrying about the blood tests, still have to wait until 4th Sept for the results - how far away is that???
Hope you are all ok,
x

Staceyk · 19/08/2004 14:43

Hi all
Had scan yesterday and all ok, they also done Nuchal test and that all ok as well, so very happy. dates are right, so still due 24th Feb, both DH and I have told work today, and all associated work people, telling parents, siblings at weekend (really looking forward to it) and then 3 more days of work then off on holiday for a fortnight, cannot wait.
Feeling very happy today, such a relief to be 13 weeks and know all ok, and be able to share news at long last.
Will be a long wait til 20 wk scan (6th Oct)

futurity · 20/08/2004 13:01

Glad everyone is doing well. Had my blood taken today...it took three goes to get it (I have "delicate veins" apparently!!). Next midwife appointment 1st September so nothing much happening until then. Still feeling sort of sick if I take wrist bands off. I am 14 1/2 weeks now..surely it must go soon! Also feeling emotional and want to cry all the time! Oh..and tired when it comes to the evening I just can't move!! Hopefully I shall perk up soon!

Angeliz · 20/08/2004 14:55

Hi everyone and hope you are all well

I just had my scan!! WOW WOW WOW!!!!!

It was amazing and now i'm totally in love At one point it had it's face snuggled down and it's bum sticking in the air and on the picture we got, it looks like it's sticking it's toungue out!!!
Cheeky minx
It all seems so real now...............

Staceyk · 20/08/2004 15:24

Staceyk · 20/08/2004 15:36

Angeliz · 20/08/2004 15:41

StacyeK according to the woman who did the scan, i'm due on 22nd now, (I still think my original is right but i'm too loved up to care at the moment

2ticks · 20/08/2004 16:32

StaceyK - I'm here too!! Due 28th Feb.

futurity · 20/08/2004 16:48

I think I am now due on the 14th as both the dating scan and the nuchal scan seemed to show this. At the moment I just tell people I am due sometime in February as the date keeps moving!!

mckenzie · 20/08/2004 21:51

I'm due 27th StaceyK. I'm only 13 weeks but at this time of night I look about 33 weeks! I didn't have any of this wind/indigestion with DS - it's horrible.
Still feeling a tad sick but i've found if I take a banana to bed and have a bite just before going to sleep and then another bite when i wake to go the toilet and then finish the rest off before I get out of bed in the morning, I seem to be okay.
One thing I am noticing just now though is that I have an unquenchable thirst in the morning even thoguh i have a large glass of water at bedtime and take huge gulps whenever I stir in the night.
Does anyone else get this?

bunjies · 20/08/2004 22:55

Had my nuchal scan this week and everything was fine. Due date still 21st feb although both my children were born early so could be anytime. No more nausea and feeling completely un-pregnant! Only sign is tiredness but that could be because of a 5 year old on summer holidays and a nearly 2 year old with chicken pox....aaaagh.

Clothes definitely too tight and had to get my larger clothes from out of the loft. Luckily I hadn't given them all away to the charity shop yet. Thank god for my laziness. Definitely need some new pants and can't wear my underwired bras anymore.

Going away with my dp next week for a 3 night break in Prague without the kids...woohoo. Can't wait. Will probably be the last holiday we have for about a hundred years as we won't be able to afford them with 3 kids! Touristy london thing on Sunday with the kids. Going on london eye and probably an open topped sightseeing bus. Can't believe I'm doing this as I was born and bred in London!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and entering the second trimester with a bit more energy and less nausea.
