Blimey. I've been lurking around mumsnet for a few months while ttc, but have only posted a couple of times. Didn't expect to be the one starting this thread!

Got a BFP yesterday (in the loo at work - classy!) and another one this morning.

According to fertility friend the due date is 9th feb.

It'll be our first, and we're both a bit shell-shocked. But happy, I think!

Is anyone else due in feb? I could really do with someone to compare notes with. I'm dying to tell my friends and family, but feel that we should leave it a few weeks, really..

Anyway ? hello everybody!

hi everyone, hope you are all feeling ok. Still being sick but the sea bands have really helped with the nausea.
I cried my eyes out at Maria winning wimbeldon when she hugged her dad how hormonal am I? Also fell out with DP's ex, who is a lovely lady and didn't deserve me taking my lowness out on her - fortunately she was lovely when I called back to apologise.
I have let my immediate boss know- he thinks I should let HR know too as I am being poorly at work and people will notice, but I don't want to do that yet. I am hoping not to say anything until the beginning of Sept, when I drop to part time.
Hope the scan goes ok today Jolly, and hope everyone else is ok.

JonahB · 11/07/2004 19:47

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is not feeling too sick/hormonal today. I cried my eyes out too when Maria won. Didnt just save it for her though. I had tears flowing "Monkey World" on Nat. Geographic TV, when I saw all those cute little chimps being rescued. That's very sad of me.

Best of luck for today Jolly, hope its all gone well.

Angeliz · 15/07/2004 15:06

O.K, hello everyone.
Just want to ask, how can i e showing at 7 weeks?? My mam can't beleive it, i can't fit inot my jeans and my belly is enormous!!!
Is anybody else showing??
(I didn't show till 4+half months with dd.......maybe it's just a fat day

futurity · 15/07/2004 16:07

Me too Angeliz! I didn't show until about the same time as you before..4-5 months. I am now almost 8 weeks and have a wobbly tummy and huge breasts!

I think it is because after DS I made the effort to lose all the weight I had wanted to get rid of for years. I was then left with tiny breasts and wobbly skin on belly but never got round to toning up. So of course now I am pregnant my body is going "wooopeee!" and storing fat already and my wobbly baby belly is proudly on show!

Thankfully it is the summer (well..sort of!) and I can wear stretchy skirts until September when no doubt I will be in the maternity gear at 4 months!!

Angeliz · 15/07/2004 16:10

Oh good, it's not just me them

Am gonna go and look in H+M as i remember some lovely looking maternity wear there when i was broody months ago.
Strange how you want a baby for ages and then can't stop crying when you're gonna have one!!

How are you feeling?

futurity · 15/07/2004 20:29

I'm going to look for some trousers with stretchy waist and cord rather than zip..that may be more comfy to wear. A friend who is due to give birth any day had a lovely pair that she wore for ages..I'll have to find out where she got them from.

Feeling less emotional now...but the all day nausea has defintely kicked in..had it two days running now. (rather than the odd days I had previously). So this morning I just had to have a chocolate flapjack to make me better! Seriously it does work having fatty cakes (same as with DS) but I should really try having fruit first and see if that helps as all these cakes are helping me expand too quickly!

Hope everyone else is coping alright.

mckenzie · 16/07/2004 19:54

I've been wanting to join one of these 'due in...' threads for ages and ages and now I can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JonahB · 17/07/2004 20:35

mckenzie, congratulations to you Glad you've come to join us!

Futurity - it really is amazing how sugar can make you feel so much better. My dad has been out buying me biscuits (even tho I asked him not to), and I am munching my way through the whole bag as we speak.

I've got my first official scan on friday. I'm very very nervous.....

futurity · 19/07/2004 13:35

Hi there...been very quiet on this thread...how is everyone?

I am 9 weeks today and feeling alright. Sickness hasn't been that bad compared to last time..maybe because I am living in my sea wrist bands! In fact people have guessed I am pregnant because I am wearing them but I don't mind..I am not taking them off just to hide the fact as I feel ill when I am not wearing them.

Also need to get a new bra as I am exploding out of this one! Can't fit into my size 12 trousers anymore so am living in my skirts. Got first midwife visit on Thursday and scan two weeks tomorrow.

That's me updated..how is everyone else?

Staceyk · 19/07/2004 13:47

Hello all, please can I join in?
I have been ttc for 18 months, (PCOS sufferer) I done 3 tests last thursday all shown positive, I went to see my ferility doctor at the hospital on Friday, who done an early scan and says I'm 7-8 weeks pregnant, can't begin to tell you how happy I am. I have a small area of bleed!! so I am due another scan 30th July (10wks) and 12 wks scan on 18th August.
Both Hubby and I are over the moon, would love to tell everyone, but know we must keep quiet. struggling at the moment very very tired, lack of nicotine hitting me hard, gone from 30 a day to 0 as soon as I saw my baby on the scan!
Oh and this is first time ever being pregnant, so I'm a complete novice.

Angeliz · 19/07/2004 18:04

StaceyK, CONGRATULATIONS

Well done and i know how hard it is to stop smoking as i've done it too!!
I was only on 4-5 a day (well night, never smoke on the day), but have finally quit. Soon as i found out so i know it's hell!!

Anyway, you sound happy enough so lets hope we get over the evil cravings !!

I have my scan booked for mid August and can't wait!
I too don't fit into anything! My belly is huge!
Little bit sickly on and off but most of all a bit shocked at how my life is gonna change.

Angeliz · 19/07/2004 18:08

It's vey quiet on here.
Is everyone o.k!!?????

(I mean over days not just now)
