Wishing you good luck for tomorrow Mimi x

And hope your 20wk goes well Eastend

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:21

Good luck for scans tomorrow guys....x

Thank you everyone for your replies and advice! Got gp appointment tomorrow which is probably a good thing as I'm getting Braxton hicks about 10-15 times an hour right now, they're not painful but uncomfortable, and still have painful pelvic pressure thats like period pains...could all be related to spd and completely normal for all i know!?

lilliana hope you're doing ok! X
sunday you must be getting along now? X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:29

sunday it started perhaps from 22 weeks...can't really remember how exactly, but the last week has increased incredible fast with symptoms (26 weeks now)
I know its perfectly possible to develop it in first trimester, its when the hormone relaxin works a little too well, loosening joints and ligaments too far causing pain etc. See your gp for referral to physio, better to see someone sooner rather than later for advice about exercises and such x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:34

chandelier yes have bench for shower which helps. Sounds like you had it bad hun! I'm hoping seeing my consultant will enable me to take some pain meds that will help...something other than paracetamol Shock x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:36

Glad your dh is supportive, mine just thinks I'm putting it on! X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:38

east thanks, I'll check out some of those videos Smile x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 31/01/2016 20:40

mimi pmsl, chocolate fire guard! That's my saying Wink x

sundayraspberry · 31/01/2016 20:57

Glad you've got in with the gp so soon paws, hope they can help. And I had no idea you could get braxton hicks at 26 weeks, I'm learning so much from MN.

16 weeks tomorrow for me so seeing mw later this week so will mention back pain. I put it down to manual handling at work although I have been very cautious already.

keys27 · 01/02/2016 07:36

I'm so sorry guys I'm will catch up later when LO's are at school.

Just wanted to wish mimi and east the best of luck with your scans. Fingers crossed its really good news for you both.

sunday my scan is a week today and it's my dating scan 12 weeks :) I can't believe it I really can't however I did start t m/c 2 days before my dating scan last time but I'm really hopeful this time. Keeping positive. How are you feeling?

paws it's probably nothing to worry about Hun but I couldn't just read and run without saying please get looked at today. Without scaring you with both mine I thought I had braxton hicks but I was in labour had one DD at 32 weeks and one DD at 27 weeks so if your doctor thinks your putting it on let him. At the end of the day it's not his health or his baby. If it carries on though Hun and he just sends you away you must call your midwife because on the worst case senorio if you are showing signs of early labour if you catch it quickly the can give you something to stop the labour. 26 weeks is very early but your be surprised how many people have premises so stuff your doctor and look after yourself. As everyone's said its probably braxton hicks or baby sitting low but my own personal experience was my babies were coming lol. Good luck today Hun I'll be thinking of you.

Sorry to a one I've missed I will be back on later for a proper catch up. You know ur pennant when your drinking cream soda for breakfast. Long gone are my I need my coffee before anyone talks to me :).

Crumbles12 · 01/02/2016 09:32

Thinking of you ladies having scans today and hoping all is well Flowers

I'm back on the fretting bench with some spotting and cramping this morning along with a lack of any symptoms over the last few days. I know I was warned it might happen and would be fine but still so unnerving! I did have a look at the miscarriage association last night and found some figures I found comforting, after seeing a heartbeat at 6 weeks the pregnancy has a 78% success rate, which goes up to 98% at 8 weeks and 99.4% at 10 weeks. I was shocked at the figures being so high which is so positive Star

keys27 · 01/02/2016 10:14

crumbles Hun honestly unfortunately the undeveloped fetus is now probably coming out. it was around this Time getting to 11 weeks it happened to my friend. Obviously she didn't have an early scan so she didn't know she had twins. However I would still call EPU or your midwife they may be able to bring you in for a reassurance scan as it can be scary. The good thing is you was kinda expecting this so its not as scary but I understand going through this myself it's impossible not to be worried.
Every time I've bled I've taken myself down to be checked this pregnancy I was lucky last pregnancy I wasn't but I've had blood clots and it was very different but even though they told me to expect the bled I still went down straight away to be checked.
I really hope the cramps and spotting stops soon for you but because you know what it is try and relax Hun but defo get some advice.

Big hugs xx

Eastend2015 · 01/02/2016 10:17

Hi all just received the all clear at our 20week scan, so relieved!!! Picture to follow. Thank you for all the good wishes, it really helped this morning. I got no sleep at all last night!

Yes Crumbles those stats were my life line in the early weeks. There is still a risk but the odds really are on our side. I recommend speaking to the miscarriage association with any worries they were amazing with us. I'd like to do some fund raising for them in future.

MimiDoddrioni · 01/02/2016 10:57

Hi everyone, had my scan this morning. The good news (?) is the sac has grown but not so much that it can be diagnosed as MC, the bad news is its still empty. The MW calculated me to be 10 wks pg, so thinks aren't looking hopeful. Got a scan in 10 days so I'm going to start claiming squatters rights on the first trimester fretting bench Grin.

Eastend congrats on the scans, hopefully you'll be able to relax and enjoy the rest of your pg (completely understand if you don't though).

Crumbles hope your doing OK and the cramps and shooting ease soon.

Eastend2015 · 01/02/2016 11:16

Oh mimi so sorry your LO can't be seen. What is happening next? Another scan? Xxx

MimiDoddrioni · 01/02/2016 12:05

Eastend lovely pic, I think I'd be really impatient to meet my LO after seeing that Smile. It's another scan for me in 10 days, if the sac has grown to over 25mm, not grown anymore or reduced, it'll be diagnosed as a MC. Otherwise it's wait and see Hmm.

Crumbles12 · 01/02/2016 12:07

Oh Mimi I'm so sorry it isn't better news for you Flowers. The sac growth is positive though I'm really hoping it all works out for you. X

Eastend2015 · 01/02/2016 12:26

Thanks! Absolutely everything crossed for you mimi!

keys27 · 01/02/2016 13:02

east lovely picture Hun. Absolutely perfect I bet your beaming. Half way there :). Did you find out if you were having a baby blue or baby pink?

crumbles how are you feeling Hun? Have the cramps and spotting stopped?

mimi oh Hun I'm so so sorry. I can't believe there making you wait another 10 days it must be so hard. can you request a blood test to see what your hcg levels are? I can't imagine how your feeling right now I Suppose you just want to know one way or another instead of being in limbo constantly. I really hope it works out for you. Did the midwife or EPU give you any reassurance it can still be ok I mean the fact the sac is growing must be positive but in 10 days time your nearly be 12 weeks.
I'm sos sorry I don't know he to reassure you Hun. Even the LO was not seen at least the sac has grown and with your uterus tilted it could defo be hiding still. Hand holding with you through these 10 days xxx

MimiDoddrioni · 01/02/2016 14:15

Keys thanks for your kind words, it's just a matter of wait and see. I read the NICE guidelines before the appt and they say that once the sac can be clearly seen the diagnosis is made based on the size of the sac or foetal pole, if visible. I think HCG levels can plateau or even dip once the pg is so far along, whereas the sac can still grow regardless of this. The MW told me to stay positive and there's still a chance it could be OK, or that my dates are 4 wks out. Unless I possess the power to cryogenically freeze DH swimmers, delay my own period and fake a BFP on the 23rd December, I'm not sure how that could be Hmm.

keys27 · 01/02/2016 14:26

No you would defo of known if you had ovulated 4 weeks later you got a Posistive pregnancy reading before then anyway. I've honestly never known anyone to have what your going through the fact the sac is growing is so positive I mean if the pregnancy had ended the sac wouldn't be growing? Sorry I sound so stupid but i have no idea on this tbh Hun. Has the foetal pole been dected? It could all still defiantly be down to your tilted uterus I told you in a previous post before when I was looking up blood clots in womb I found this post by a lady who went for 2 scans one at 6 and one at 9. Both times no fetus or yolk was dected then 12 weeks there the baby was if I can find the link again I will let you know I'm going to backtrack in a bit for you. At least they didn't say I'm sorry there's nothing and we have to think about ending the pregnancy it's really poisitive they haven't said anything like that which means they still know LO could be hiding. LO is only a size of an olive could very well be playing hide and seak.

chandelierswinging · 01/02/2016 16:20

Mimi Flowers I'm so sorry this is dragging on for you. I really hope that there is a positive outcome for you. I've been through similar and was in limbo for 5 looooong weeks before it became completely obvious which way things were going. It's very stressful; you have my sympathies.

MimiDoddrioni · 01/02/2016 17:18

Thanks Chandelier, I think I know which way this is going and I'm not overly positive about the outcome but it's better than being rushed into ending things. I should probably take up meditation or something to get me through another 10 day wait.

MimiDoddrioni · 01/02/2016 17:23

Keys still no pole or yolk, just a slightly bigger sac, 4mm growth which MW said was about the amount they'd expect it to grow in 10 days. So I guess I should be positive that it's still growing
