New thread for all the lovely ladies facing the trials and tribulations of pregnancy after mc!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Cuppachaplz · 24/01/2016 00:15

1st try to stay positive. I had a heavy bleed (tmi but when I stood up and the blood went to my knees on my jeans ) and horrendous cramps at about 7w with DS, but he clung on in there. Sticky hugs ThanksBiscuit

DH got home with a flat battery so currently in on a trace, but baby too wriggly to pick up properly, and too small to pick up if easily.
They've asked me to go back for a scan on Monday, but to go in again if anything else happens, and to stop clexane just in case.... Eeeeek! SadSadNot again

Lilliana · 24/01/2016 07:59

cuppa hang in there. So glad DH got home but awful not to get some answers. Is wiggly a good sign though? Not sure what clexane is but offering a supportive hand. Try and get some sleep today and fingers crossed for tomorrow Flowers

Lilliana · 24/01/2016 08:00

How are you today 1st?

OTheHugeManatee · 24/01/2016 08:20

Hope you are okay 1st.

MollyWho · 24/01/2016 09:49

cuppa & curly fingers crossed for your scans tomorrow. Do look after yourselves x

1st I hope things are better this morning

1stTimeRounder · 24/01/2016 10:04

Feeling awful this morning. Exhausted and Woke with cramp at 5am and there's definitely blood there now. Not too heavy at the moment , but suspect the cramping might be the precursor to some heavy bleeding later. I'll have to organise a referall to EPU as my follow up isn't due til Thursday.

Cuppa glad the DH turned up, fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. Thanks for the positive story about your DS, so maybe all is not lost. Thanks x

Will check in with you lovely ladies later x

Crumbles12 · 24/01/2016 17:45

Cuppa sorry to hear you had a scare, I hope everything is okay now and fingers crossed everything looks okay on the scan tommorow. Flowers

I hope you are feeling a little better now 1st Sad I also had bleeds and cramping all through my pg with DS and all turned out okay in the end, try to rest up. Can the EPU see you earlier if the bleeding/cramping has gotten worse? Take care of yourself.

Phwoggy · 24/01/2016 18:34

Cuppa, 1st and Curly I hope everything goes well for you Thanks

Thank you all for the welcomes. I'm taking things much more slowly this time, I phoned the doctors straight away last time to make my booking in appointment but it was heartbreaking having to phone up and cancel.

Crumbles12 · 24/01/2016 18:45

Phwoggy I know what you mean with the appointments, I only just managed to book a midwife appointment this week at 9 weeks pg, luckily they have managed to fit me in for this Wednesday but I sort of felt I would jinx it if I booked it straight after BFP like in previous pregnancies! You still have time, do it at your own pace Flowers

MimiDoddrioni · 24/01/2016 20:16

Hey, has anyone had a booking appointment as late as week 12 before? I was due to have mine tomorrow but the EPU told to me to cancel it until we have confirmation that this pg is viable. I can see why they told me to cancel it but my surgery only does booking appointments on a Monday morning and they're booked out until 22 Feb now. Argh, I'm only 8wks preg (I hope) and I've turned to a massive stress-head already! ConfusedAngry

Cuppachaplz · 24/01/2016 20:46

Mimi I didn't find out until 17w this time Blushso booked incredibly late.
His insensitive of EPU, I'm quite angry on your behalf. Even after 15mcs I've never been told not to see a mw, in fact my EPU in previous pregnancies have suggested it might help to talk to her, but that it's up to me. If you wait until 12w who will request your dating scan? (bitter experience tells me that they won't look at scans from EPU).
Big hugs xx

1st keeping everything crossed for you Thanks

I've lost more mucus plug today, but no bleeding. Last time I had my first fluid loss at 29w, and was in and out of hospital after as things got worse and worse :(
Freaking out that the same thing is happening, but playing it down at home as ds1 (who's 12) was terrified last time when I developed blood sepsis :(

MollyWho · 25/01/2016 07:35

How far along are you this time cuppa? I hope you're getting the care you need.

mimi why don't you give the midwife a bell, she maybe happy to see you still despite what EPU have said.

Thinking of all those with assessments todayFlowers

1stTimeRounder · 25/01/2016 08:21

Hi everyone. Yesterday and last night were terrible. Cramps were horrendous and very heavy bleeding. Very similar to last Mc at the same stage (7wks) so I'm 99% sure it's gone. Going to arrange EPU visit now.

Cuppa can't believe you've been through 15 mcs, keeping everything crossed for you ...

Good luck anyone going for scans today x

OTheHugeManatee · 25/01/2016 08:53

Hugs 1stTime. Sounds like a rough night. Whatever the news is from the EPU, we're all here holding your hand.

Mimi - I think that EPU advice was very strange as well as insensitive! Especially as it will mean booking in v late which could affect your scan dates. Agree it is worth calling the MW directly.

Cuppa - how far along are you?

MimiDoddrioni · 25/01/2016 08:56

Cuppa thanks for the advice, I've got myself booked back in to see her this morning. Cancelling that appointment made me feel like I'm giving up on this pg already. Sorry to hear you're having a tough time right now, hope you're getting well looked after and that LO hangs on in there. I honestly don't know if I'd have the strength to try doing this 15 times, you're a very brave woman indeed Flowers.

Molly unfortunately my GP didn't have a contact number for the new MW so I couldn't speak to her before I cancelled the appt or when I rebooked it. I just hope she's a sympathetic type cos I can't be doing with being shouted at today.

Lilliana · 25/01/2016 11:37

Thinking of you all with scans / appointments today. mimi I'm sure she'll be sympathetic, most mw that I've met are lovely.

cuppa you are amazing going through 15mc and still being so supportive and positive here. I really hope everything is ok for you x

1st offering a hand. Sorry you had such an awful night. Goose luck today Flowers

MimiDoddrioni · 25/01/2016 12:09

So I saw the MW, she was lovely, didn't have a booking appt but she's given me her number and offered to do a home visit if I get some positive scans. It does feel a bit like I'll never reach the 2nd trimester sometimes, but oh well.

1st I'm wishing you goose luck too, it's like good luck but better because it has wings and can fly Grin

1stTimeRounder · 25/01/2016 12:48

Goose luck is the best kind Grin

Waiting at EPU now... It's busy so it's been a long wait. I know my parking ticket has already expired so might have a parking fine to add to a fab day!

keys27 · 25/01/2016 13:21

Good luck everyone with scans today. I am thinking of you at this really scary time and praying for the best outcomes for you.

cuppa you are on brave lady going through 15 mc. I don't think I could be as strong as you. I am hoping everything is ok for you lovely. Get checked out asap.

somebody haven't heard from you in a few days. I hope your ok.

sophia good luck for your scan tomorrow hun. Been a long time coming.

Hope everyone else is all ok and in the nicest possible way having a boring pregnancy xx

Cuppachaplz · 25/01/2016 14:13

1st sorry you're having such a rubbish time. It's always such a long wait at EPU isn't it? Thinking of you and hoping that you get the reassurance that you need.

mimi glad to hear the MW is looking after you. hoping for positive news on thursday Flowers

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I was 28w on Saturday. I feel like I've pretty much hung out on this thread for the last 3 or 4 years... DH and I had decided that we couldn't go through anymore and decided to stop trying when we found out DS2 was on his way, and you lovely ladies kept me sane through what was a truly awful pregnancy. I had asked to be sterilised during the eventual CS to deliver him, however due to complications this wasn't done, so I had a coil fitted at 6w and am still breastfeeding with no return of AF. As you can imagine, this pregnancy is rather a shock, but that does't make me any less anxious (although maybe it was a good thing to essentially miss out the 1st trimester).
I saw a lovely MW this morning, who was very reassuring. Baby seems fine with no signs of distress, and no further bleeding, and no plug loss since yesterday. She is concerned at how stressed I am getting about hospital appointments, and gave me some really supportive advice about getting listened to :)

OTheHugeManatee · 25/01/2016 14:20

Think of you 1stTime.

OTheHugeManatee · 25/01/2016 14:21

Glad to hear things seem okay cuppa 🙂

1stTimeRounder · 25/01/2016 14:54

Wow cuppa you really are amazin having gone through all that. And I'm not surprised you were getting stressed out, so much going on.

So EPU confirmed I have had MC. No sac left or anything as I suspected. Follow up in 10 days to check everything is gone. It's rubbish and I feel really deflated about it. Most of the pain has eased off but feel warn out. Taking few days off work and my boss is being understanding which is great.

Good luck to everyone else. I hope to be back on here again soon with a BFP and in need of more hand holding. Thanks for all the support. It has helped a lot as we didn't tell anyone this time round. I've told my mum and closest friend now and will tell others when I get round to it.

Hugs to everyone x

Crumbles12 · 25/01/2016 15:11

I am so so sorry 1st my thoughts are with you, I hope you have lots of support to get you through, take care of yourself Flowers.

Glad your boss is understanding and that you have a few days to get your head around everything and to rest. Hope to see you back here soon. Big hugs x

Lilliana · 25/01/2016 15:15

So sorry 1st take care and hope to see you back with a sticky bfp soon Flowers
