I'm so happy for you chandelier! That's incredible news! Flowers

Eastend2015 · 15/01/2016 13:27

Hoorah Chandelier!! Fantastic news! Dildocam, lol!!

JessieMcJessie · 15/01/2016 13:47

Fantastic news chandelier and fingers crossed for Manatee. I'll be 8 weeks when I finally have my scan next week and until reading this had assumed that it would definitely be dildocam as too early for abdominal. I'm very blase about dildocam because they use it during IVF to check your follicles - I must have had well over 20 of them in the last year - but abdominal scan would be amazing, like a proper pregnant lady.

Am feeling a bit more optimistic these last couple of days because I think I am feeling very slightly queasy - only notice it if I get hungry though, and again after eating - does that sound right? Not chucking up queasy, just very mild nausea. That said, I'm getting freaked out by those "your baby at 7 weeks" pictures and descriptions on the MN pregnancy calendar and elsewhere because I genuinely cannot imagine that one of those is inside me. This time next week I will know one way or the other.

Had a very vivid dream last night that I was starring as Rey in Star Wars but nobody had given me any script or costume- is that a symptom? Smile.

chandelierswinging · 15/01/2016 14:25

Thank you lovelies Flowers

Yy, Jessie pregnancy dreams can be craaaaaazy! I was regularly unfaithful to DH in my dreams, obvs in my 1st/2nd pgcy. I woke up rather hot, bothered and confused quite a few times!! I dreamt I gave birth to a cat in my 2nd pgcy! Not had any yet this time... Looking forward to some hot dreams again though!!

OTheHugeManatee · 15/01/2016 15:01

Jessie Not everyone - or even most people - get actual throwing up. Lots of people just feel a bit queasy. For me it's a bit like being carsick, or the queasy aspect of a hangover without the headache and without having had any of the fun getting drunk. It's definitely worse for me after meals too.

Cashew that's fantastic news that you spotted your prawn (Grin) and all seems to be well.

No interesting sex dreams here I'm afraid. Though the other day I did dream I was awake and getting up for work, only to wake up and discover I'd been asleep all along. I felt conned out of my last half-hour of sleep AND as though I had to get up twice HmmGrin

SomebodySedateMe · 15/01/2016 15:54

I've reached the "stranded in labour" dreams which are of course fun. So far I've dream-birthed in a field, on an empty carpark and in a lift.

jessie my sickness was always worse if I got hungry. Snacking helped a bit as did staying hydrated.

Lilliana · 15/01/2016 17:14

I'm another that got queasy when hungry but not actually sick - I eat a lot during the first trimester to counter this!

That is amazing news chandelier I'm so pleased for you. How did your scan go Manatee?

No dreams here yet although I had very vivid dreams after I had DD.

sundayraspberry · 15/01/2016 18:56

Excellent news chandelier!

Weird pregnancy dreams is definitely a symptom Jessie! I had some odd ones in the early weeks, one very vivid dream where I stole a colleagues lipstick Confused. 'Stranded in labour' dreams sound horrendous somebody!

Hello to all the newbies, im having trouble keeping up at the moment! X

OTheHugeManatee · 15/01/2016 19:43

Well, we saw a heartbeat which was lovely. It's measuring about a week behind where I should be by LMP though so am now fretting that it's not developing properly. Esp as we didn't DTD that month after 2 weeks in because DH was ill. (Sorry if tmi).

Someone talk me down please Hmm

SomebodySedateMe · 15/01/2016 19:55

manatee I measured a week behind until I was 12 weeks. Relax, you saw a heartbeat. That's the best possible sign right now.

If I go by the date I know for a fact I conceived then my due date is way off.

MimiDoddrioni · 15/01/2016 20:01

Hi Manatee, it's great news that you heard a heartbeat. Sperm can live in the fallopian tubes for about 6 days if the conditions are right. So you could of ovulated 6 days after dtd and still get pregnant. Fx crossed its nothing to worry about.

OTheHugeManatee · 15/01/2016 20:19

Thanks folks, that's very reassuring [smile
I know the heartbeat is the best possible sign so I'm going to try and relax and feel positive.

We saw a heartbeat last time as well and still had a MMC but the odds of that happening twice are very very low.

Lilliana · 15/01/2016 20:55

Great news Manatee! Yes the odds are very very low. Try to keep calm and enjoy being pregnant.

Cuppachaplz · 15/01/2016 21:34

Great news manatee.
With ds2, they dated me 2w behind where I thought I was, this was moved back a further 3w at 12w scan making the scan where they found Hb before conception! I queried it and they muttered something about delayed growth. Very stressful times (it's about 6 threads ago I think Blush)
Hoping you get the reassurance you need from this.

TabbyToes · 15/01/2016 22:45

Thanks for the welcome all. Yay Manatee and Chandelier, you saw heartbeats!! Manatee, will you go back for another scan for reassurance that it's grown properly? I'm thinking of going back in a couple of weeks as mine was also about a week behind where I expected. But I'm a bit neurotic! Nice to hear of others' experiences with slightly smaller ones.

Blimey, Somebody, I'm not looking forwards to that type of dream. Are you worrying about it much during the day?

keys27 · 16/01/2016 06:41

chandler congratulations on your scan :). Do you have another one booked in?

manatee it's so common to measure behind in dates I did and last scan I caught up. There's like such a massive gap in error with these scans as the measurements are so tiny I mean 1mm extra would of put you further along and there not accurate measurements it happens to so many people. As long as you've seen a heartbeat the odds of anything happening now are so low. Your be absolutely fine. So hard not to worry I know but honestly there's nothing to worry about. Have you got another scan booked?

Not had vivid dreams lol but I've read some stories on them. So funny where some of you have dreamt giving birth but can also understand it can be quite distressing as well another pregnancy symptom to contend with. Do you know if they fade the further along you get?

tabby congratulations on your pregnancy lovely to have you on board. Again as long as heartbeat has been seen everything should be fine with baby. But honestly don't blame you for having a follow up scan for reassurance I would of also requested one.

Nothing to report here really coming up to 9 weeks on Monday I'm getting to the stage I had my m/c so I am not relaxed at all knowing I have that bleed :(. I have to wait until my 12 week scan now but have midwife on Friday so she will check my hcg levels I'm sure. If the bleed weren't there I'd be so much more relaxed but it caused my last late mc and I can't get that out my head. This is going to be a long 3 weeks for me.
Me and OH have also split up over the weekend. He is just so nasty sometimes and just not understand that we wake up in the night and we can't keep on top of the house like normal when we feel so sick. I've had enough i couldn't even repeat it on here what he has called me. I'm worth more than that pregnant or not. So I'm living with my parents great for my stress levels. On a positive note I'm getting my dinners cooked lol. Every cloud and all that.

Have a lovely weekend lovely ladies xxx

Lilliana · 16/01/2016 07:04

Oh Keys I'm so sorry he has treated you like that. Well done for standing up for yourself and leaving - I'm sure you'll be better off without him. Very stressful though especially while pregnant so come and chat anytime you need. Glad your mum and dad are looking after you Flowers

keys27 · 16/01/2016 07:29

Thanks hun I'm ok honestly really can't stress I'm better here I'm the kinda person who just won't stand for it.

On another note his test the new one for testing Down's syndrome do you think we're be one of the first to have I or just miss out?

SomebodySedateMe · 16/01/2016 07:56

keys really sorry to hear that. You need to do what's best for you right now. Here I'd you need to talk.

Birth is on my mind more and more each day but I think the dreams are because I haven't got my induction date yet. I was hoping to find out by now so I feel in limbo! Tried to pack my bag yesterday and had a breakdown because I didn't feel her kick for an hour afterwards. I just can't seem to get from where I am to a baby at the end!

Solan · 16/01/2016 08:04

Hi all..nice to hear some positive experiences and good news, good luck to you all xxx
.Sorry if mine is not so.positive..I am holding out (just) till Monday morning and my scan, I should be 8 weeks then. Although my spotting has turned to constant bleeding now. Passing small clots, not filling a pad but filling the toilet when I go and on tissue. I feel my chances a of good news on Monday is very, very slim. I just wish it was all over now, I am ready for the worst and starting to fear things like haemorrhage or passing out in front of folk, so I have just been home on the couch a lot which is so far removed from my usual. I have one spontaneous miscarriage at 17 weeks and one missed miscarriage at 7 weeks both ended in dnc. Just wonderin how long a natural m/c will take I have been spotting/ bleeding since 2 of January. I feel like things should be happening by now xxx

keys27 · 16/01/2016 08:09

sombody I am so sorry to hear your feeling so anxious it's so understandable that your feeling this way. Getting up to the point your just about to give birth is a scary time and just waiting around must be so mentally draining. The fact that you couldn't feel baby by kicking as much is most probably all down to baby's size the bigger they get nearer the time of birth the less movement you will feel. But if your worried speak to maternity ward your entitled to do that. I hope the new week gives you your date to put your mind at rest pack your bag and get baby's clothes ready try and enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy. I know it's easier said than done. I'm keeping everything crossed baby starts to make an appearance for you soon. Big hugs Hun xxx

keys27 · 16/01/2016 08:15

solan Hun get yourself down to hospital they will need to monitor you. I'm so sorry to hear this I've actually got a tears in my eyes because I know how your feeling. Don't lose all hope they said to me with my bleed it's so common in pregnancies that women think their losing there babies but it's the clots passing through that's why is always best to get checked as soon as you see bright red blood. I haven't started my bleed yet but I'm expected to. And my bleed was described the same as your describing.
My heart goes out to you it really does and I, keeping everything crossed and praying for you this is not the end. Bleeding is so common in early pregnancy but you do need to be checked today.
Massive hugs wish I could more of a support to you Hun xxxxxxx

sundayraspberry · 16/01/2016 09:04

solan really sorry to hear about your bleeding. I haven't any advice to give as I had a mmc and erpc last time so haven't experienced heavy bleeding either. Hope Monday comes round quickly for you so you can get checked out xx

keys also sorry your OH hasn't been more supportive. On the question about downs syndrome testing, I think we might miss out this year although I've read of people getting it on the NHS in certain areas that are trialling it early. Personally I'd be happy to pay for it if I needed further testing. Got my results back as low risk yesterday, took a week and a half to get the letter if anyone was wondering.

We're off to tell OHs gmother about the baby today. I'm nervous as I know she will have strong feelings about us having a baby before marriage and I don't want to have to justify ourselves. I've pre warned my OH that his diplomacy skills may be needed!

OTheHugeManatee · 16/01/2016 09:32

Solan - sorry to hear about your bleeding, you must be so worried Sad We are all crossing everything that it's good news at your scan. Meanwhile though please do get yourself seen if the pain or bleeding gets worse.

Keys - I hope you are doing ok having ended things with your ex. Well done though if he was nasty - you will be so much better in the end not having to live with that in your pregnancy.

Sunday - good luck breaking the news!

Somebody - hang in there Smile

Nothing to report here - am sitting in the hairdresser getting my highlights redone, then family lunch later - but I really appreciate the reassurance from everyone about measurements. It's so easy to fixate on the smallest thing and worry away at it.

OTheHugeManatee · 16/01/2016 09:35

Oh and on the downs testing, DH and I are relatively high risk as I'm 36 and he's 45, but we discussed and don' think we are going to test at all. I wouldn't terminate for a Downs diagnosis anyway so I think I'd rather not know iyswim.
