Just moaning really. I'm fed up of being pregnant now!

I had to wake DP up at 2am to help me get out of bed so I could go to the toilet. My thighs and joints feel bruised and like my muscles are splitting.. midwife says its because my body has done this before so it isn't as stretchy. Well I don't like it!

And if I wake up one more time with heartburn and acid reflux so bad I think I'm choking.. grr Angry

This baby is so worth it, but I'm so tired and sore, and the thought of going overdue is making me miserable!

Anyone else want a moan?!

Hi, you should come and join us on a thread for people due in the next weeks. Not sure how to link thread but you should find us easily. It's a great place for us to moan to like minded folk! I'm 40+1 with what appears to have been an unsuccessful sweep so I know exactly what you're talking about!!

Sycamore76 · 20/02/2015 08:24

I am 38 weeks with my second ! Totally feel your pain. Haven't had a decent nights sleep in weeks and my toddler is getting fed up with tired mummy. Getting lots of leg pain during the night and in the loo every 5 mins ! I know it will be totally worth it but just want some sleep before baby comes !!

yougotafastcar · 20/02/2015 09:39

blankfornames think I did spot that thread, but didn't want to intrude if it was only for those ready to pop! Will come and have another look, thank you Smile sorry your sweep didn't do much, I had one with DC1, didn't do much for me either! Fingers crossed something happens soon.

Sycamore76 I have a two year old DS, and he is fed up of tired mummy too. And already starting to get jealous and being more 'baby'. He just wants me to play on the floor but I go numb after 5 mins

Yes, my little boy is the same . Wants to be picked up all the time . He wanted so many cuddles the other day I was thinking he could sense labour !!

cosmicglittergirl · 20/02/2015 11:37

37 weeks today, my 18 month old is annoyed with me because I'm too tired to play. Going into labour soon would be great!

yougotafastcar · 20/02/2015 12:25

Oh dear, these poor DC1's! I'd just like to feel normal again, plus for the first couple of weeks there will be visitors to pop in and help. At the moment even walking to the local shop has me half dead never mind a walk & bus to the park!

Sycamore76 · 20/02/2015 12:39

It's so hard !! I was worn out taking him in the garden the other day , I almost want it to rain so I have an excuse not to go out . I am also getting really emotional as I keep thinking about how his life is about to turn upside down :-(

TeaandHobnobs · 20/02/2015 14:59

Also 37 weeks today! But I'm not ready - still need another week to finish my work (freelancer). And I haven't done any mental preparation either - I've been intending to do hypnobirthing techniques again, but I haven't had any time to practice.
This is DC2, and DC1 was born at 31+5, so this all feels a bit new!

yougotafastcar · 20/02/2015 15:37

Oh Sycamore76 but think of how it might change for the better too, someone to play with, to share experiences with when they are older.

Oh wow TeaandHobnobs don't know how you have the energy to be working still!

Do any of you know what you are having? Other then a baby of course Grin

38+4 and totally over it now! With DD I was really swollen and couple barely walk by this point. This time I am in much better shaped physically but so tired. DD is almost 4 and though she is very understanding and patient of me being tired and unable to do things I feel like I am constantly moaning at her.

Princessbb1 · 20/02/2015 16:52

Can I join? 37 weeks tomorrow and beyond fed up Sad .

Had what I thought were contractions last night that got to 8 mins apart and then they stopped. I feel like baby is playing games with me.

I guess not long to go but it seems to be taking forcever, I'm desperate to meet him!

yougotafastcar · 20/02/2015 18:31

Princessbb1 welcome to the club Smile

It does seem to be taking forever now, although looking back it seems to have gone quick. I feel like I'm constantly moaning too HollyBen, your DD sounds lovely though

You got a fast car - thank you ! Yes I agree , I have been very emotional recently Hmm . My little boy was at nursery today so feeling a little more human after a rest. Hubby out tonight so hoping tonight isn't the night ! I was fully induced with dc1 so hoping for a natural labour this time . I am expecting a little girl this time , what about everyone else ? Very exciting !!! Hope you all sleep better this evening xx

yougotafastcar · 21/02/2015 11:22

Sycamore76 hope you didn't go into labour over night! I was induced with DC1 too so wouldn't even know if I was in labour I don't think. Was up every hour last night with heartburn, hate it. I'm having a girl too Smile

cosmicglittergirl · 21/02/2015 11:51

A girl here too, number two. yougofastcar/sycamore how was being induced? I think it may be on the cards with me as I have gest diabetes. I always thought I wouldn't want one, but I'm so big (baby is big), that I'm reconsidering...

I'm feeling the same as you all. It's been over a month since I had any sort of sleep that benefited me and the pain, restlessness etc is just getting worse. I hate that I can only walk short distances, not always due to pain but pressure of baby low down. This is my 6th and I'm between 35 & 38 weeks on Monday. The earlier date is usually more accurate but hospitals like their scan dates! Only thing I know is due to blood pressure problems I'll not go past last date. Think I've a good week or 2 left yet though Sad.

Sycamore76 · 21/02/2015 18:41

To be honest I didn't really want to be induced but after my sweep I had lots of abnormal bleeding ( rare ), next day they broke my waters and had the drip etc. Hated it as couldn't move from bed and contractions so painful. Really hoping to avoid it this time , even scared to have a sweep !! Sad
Had such a bad night sleep last night as up every hour or so and then ds woke up at 630am! Hoping it won't happen tonight as far to tired for labour . How is everyone else feeling ? Nice to have a thread going ,it will be good to hear everyone's progress :-) xx

cosmicglittergirl · 21/02/2015 19:21

Thanks for the reply, it's the not being able to move that bothers me too, but I had that last time as I had to be on a monitor... I might opt for an epidural if they insist.
Can't sleep either, I have day on where I feel I could do it, or like today where I felt so tired and achey I was really hoping it wouldn't happen as I wouldn't have the energy. Had a rest this afternoon while DH looked after DD.
I'm actually feeling a bit more anxious this time around! Don't know why...

Sycamore76 · 21/02/2015 20:02

I know what you mean cosmic , I feel more anxious this time around too. I think it's because we know what's around the corner ! I also think about my son a lot and want to recover fast for him.

The midwife did say that second babies tend to labour better so fingers crossed Confused. I hope you have a better night sleep tonight. I dread the nights now , we will prob have more sleep once babies arrive !!!

Sycamore76 · 21/02/2015 20:06

Hi Shelley,
The pain walking is frustrating isn't it? I actually got a taxi yesterday to pick up my son from nursery , it's only a twenty min walk there and back but couldn't face it !!! I feel like everyone is staring at my bump too, does anyone else get that ? Just want to hide away Shock

yougotafastcar · 21/02/2015 20:11

I was induced because I was two weeks overdue, but it wasn't that bad for me. I had the gel (I think) inserted and then they put me on a monitor so I couldn't move then, but only for half hour or so. They checked me every 6 hours and put more gel stuff in if nothing was happening, but I was encouraged to go for walks, just wasn't allowed to go home. Induction started at 10am sunday, I had him 7pm monday. No drip & waters broke just before I pushed.

Hi Babiecakes11, wow your waters broke very earlier, glad the baby managed to hang on this far for you!

shelley1977 your 6th, must be hard work with 5 other DC to look after, no wonder you are tired!

cosmicglittergirl · 21/02/2015 20:35

I'm hoping for a second time=easier, I'm currently leaning over a beanbag trying to get baby to turn so she's not back to back! I might claim the bed tonight for myself so I can create a 'nest'! I'm also anxious about leaving DD, I know she'll be fine but it's something I didn't have to think about last time.
Ok yougo that doesn't sound too bad... thanks.
Yup to the staring, I show big and I overhead two ladies discussing my bump this morning! And yes to taxis, I had to get one from my yoga class this week, a ten minute walk away!

Sycamore76 · 21/02/2015 20:48

My baby is also back to back! Trying the all four thing now . DH is already in the spare room, only way he can get any sleep.

houghtonk76 · 22/02/2015 08:57

Know how you feel, am 34 weeks due 1st April & knackered, achy & so fed up of heartburn, peeing all time & not fitting into things would be nice if he came sooner!
