37 weeks today.. I'm ready to give birth now!

Just moaning really. I'm fed up of being pregnant now!

I had to wake DP up at 2am to help me get out of bed so I could go to the toilet. My thighs and joints feel bruised and like my muscles are splitting.. midwife says its because my body has done this before so it isn't as stretchy. Well I don't like it!

And if I wake up one more time with heartburn and acid reflux so bad I think I'm choking.. grr Angry

This baby is so worth it, but I'm so tired and sore, and the thought of going overdue is making me miserable!

Anyone else want a moan?!

No more fluids coming out either end so no idea if it is a bug. I felt better but then had a nap and feel worse, which is normal but my belly hurts too, which isn't!

emily I had a sweep with DS on my due date and still went over, it was a bit uncomfortable but fine, midwife suggested one 2 days before due date this time.

Hope you get better before your baby arrives fast car, I can't imagine being poorly an in labour too! Hopefully it's just your body having a clear out before d-day!
It doesn't sound like sweeps have worked too well for people... I will keep my fingers crossed anyway.
Does anyone else have hip pain? It's very strange and quite sore!

Im just passed 36 weeks and am in pretty much the same boat! I'm waddling about like crazy and everyone saying 'oooooh you're massive - you're going to go early'. Which, while possibly true, makes me feel just like a massive fat blob. Envy

Frankly as long as kiddo is healthy I'd be happy for her to come any day now... any day now...

weeblueberry that's exactly how I feel. I'm between 36 & 39 weeks on Monday. Earlier date probably more accurate by experience but just in case I'm glad to be about to hit 36 weeks

Few more tightenings tonight and had bad backache but they have eased off after paracetamol. I just feel a bit funny now.

emily I haven't had it so not sure but could your hip pain be SPD?

I hope cosmics induction went well & she is having lovely baby cuddles now!

this little one is making up for his lack of activity the last few days. he is very lively right now. oh was starting to get rather worried about him. i know its part of having a anterior placenta so wasnt freaking out as much

Hello all, hope everyone is well.
Things are slooow here. Got to the hospital this morning and very busy so pessary only went in at 6.30 so I've got until tomorrow evening (unless I go into labour) before anything else happens. Hmm
It's very tiring and I'm beginning to wish I hadn't bothered nice as all the staff are...

Ive had a very unusual rush of energy and spent it scrubbing kitchen and bathroom top to bottom so far. Making the most of it as been really struggling recently.

Shelley - surge of energy is apparently a good sign.

I have lots of low level period type pains and backache . Suddenly bump feels very very heavy . Hope this is a good sign as feel terrible today xx

Thanks, still here in observation. Pessary has only opened cervix slightly. Hoping for waters to be broken tomorrow... But I have my own room with en suite so I'm imagining I'm on a spa break(!). Hope someone goes tonight and gets a baby.

Fastcar- I was hoping you had gone into labour , shame it was a bug. Still getting period type pains but nothing progressing ,getting hard to walk about now. Dh is off work now for two weeks so want her to come soon or he won't have much time with the baby. I will be scrubbing floors later ! Let's good these chairs come soon Wink

I wish I was in labour - just a busy weekend. So tired now though, came over all funny and feeling sick earlier. I've tried scrubbing floors, nothing happened! Waste of time that was Grin

How is everyone? I survived the weekend, just! Hoping not to much longer to wait for baby, the cramp in thighs,hips & lower back seem to be almost constant now with low down pressure and some strong tightenings.

Shelley , That's a really good sign, good luck.
I am not progressing much , 40 weeks on Thursday. I found out today I have group strep b so I can't go to the midlife led centre which was disappointing but never mind ! Babies health is more important . Just pleased I found out before the birth xx

I am the same as you Shelley!
I had a sweep on Saturday and was excited it might work as she said I was 1cm and quite soft cervix! But stil nothing, just the same as you cramps in back, thighs and tightenings. It is so frustrating! How is everyone feeling? I want to meet my baby now!!!

shelley & emily I hope things have progressed! That's a shame sycamore, but like you say better to find out before the birth.

No signs for me, have consultant app on thursday & I'm hoping he says "wow big baby, lets induce you tomorrow!" Would be perfect Grin even MW surprised at her size!

Every morning I wake up disappointed ( well as much as you can wake up without sleep ) that nothing is happening ! Leg pain last night too :-( come on babies !!!

Me too sycamore, last night was actually having a decent sleep but then DS was up for a hour at 3am Sad so tired, at least if I had the baby DP & family would be around to help.
