Here we go, as promised...

Yes Dino, I am M2T. Not in disguise though, just got really bored of my name.

So this thread can be a record of the last half of our pregnancies. I'm going to print out the original as a nice log of the first 5 months of the pregnancy.

This is thread we'll all be posting on when we go into labour!! I'm all excited now.

Good luck August mums2b. Looking forward to lots of happy news in the coming weeks.

Quacks, good luck on Wednesday if nothing happens before then. I was induced with ds, he was 8 days overdue too, it was good to get things started.

Pennies · 02/08/2004 09:57

Blimey I disappear for a week or so and it all kicks off on here! Congratulations Sweetkitty and Toothache I hope all is going well - can't wait for more news!

I am on the first day of my maternity leave and I'm sooooo busy! I think the nesting instinct is kicking in as have an urge to clean everything but there's not much point seeing as we've got builders in and there's brick dust everywhere! So I've found other bits and bobs to do and have worn myself out already. Just had all our baby stuff delivered from John Lewis so am looking forward to going through all that later.

Started NCT classes last week but wasn't very useful as I got the giggles and DH said I let the side down as he was very embarrassed. Strange as I always thought it would be me taking it seriously and him taking the p1ss.

Can't believe it's August already! Scary stuff!!!!

sweetkitty · 02/08/2004 20:50

good luck dino - at least things are moving for you now

toothache - dying to know how you are getting on hope you have some good news for us soon

sponge · 03/08/2004 07:04

Well after some contractions Saturday night and Sunday morning and ongoing browny discharge throughout the weekend, yesterday and this morning - nothing .
At least the suspense is making me less nervous and more impatient, although I am still scared when I stop to think about it too hard, so I try not to .
Good luck for today Dino and to everyone else waiting.
And to our missing Toothache, surely we will have some news soon.

Quackers · 03/08/2004 10:17

Morning, this thread is fast moving! Considering it's only the 3rd August!! I have had very little action, just some strong BH's yesterday, but I had incredible energy and rearranged the kitchen and all my wardrobes and cleaned the nursery again yesterday. I could have done anything yesterday!! So looks like I'll be getting my seep tommorow and induction Thursday afterall. Ah well. I just want a healthy baby at the end of it! It does get scary at the end though, thinking of what I've got to go through! Think second time you know what's coming!!
Sibble, hope things get going for you. Dino should be well on her way now!!! Spnge, hang in there! xx
Lupe - how are you today chuck??

sweetkitty · 03/08/2004 12:44

Morning all - for all those about to go through labout I salute you just think of the outcome.

Look at me thinking I'm an old hat now. DD is 2 weeks today cannot believe it already, mu due date was tomorrow. She is wanting some little August playmates as well. Things are going well she is over the jaundice and is feeding like mad, my nipples are really sore now though. The sleep deprivation has well and truly kicked in though

Take care all and hopefully we will have some announcements soon xxx

Lupe · 03/08/2004 13:31

Hi everyone - just come over from the July thread with Quackers cos there was noone left!

Well, I've just had zero hours sleep having been having contractions since yesterday morning and every 10 minutes throughout the nnight. Unfortunately the little one turned herself round at some undisclosed point to go posterior so I have been having pure back pain - not nice!

I went into hospital this am after losing some blood that wasn't obviously a show but they've reassured me everything's okay. I'm in early labour (only about 24 hours so far!!!!) and only very slightly dilated. But babe's fine and they've strapped me up to a tens machine which is at least distractging and sent me home to wait for more serious pain .

I've also been gave an IOL date for Friday if nothing by then but surely this can't go on for ever....

Poor DH was a star, massaging my back throughout the night and only getting a couple of hours' kip.

I'm shagged out and going to try to get a few zzzzs with my tens machine on top whack. I feel like an android .

hope all's well with you Quackers - looks like one way or another ours are going to almost share a birthday...

Lupe and Quackers - just thinking of you both and hoping you are ok! Any more news Lupe - I'm really excited for you! I think this could well be it!

DS is now 3 days old and sleeping and feeding well but it took us 3 hours to leave the house just to go to Tesco's over the road today, so its still very early days!!!! Wishing everyone due in August the very best of luck! You've all not long to go now!

Quackers · 03/08/2004 17:07

Hi Lupe!!! Oh I do hope this is it, sounds very promising for you!!!! It would be lovely if they birthdays very close! Especially as we are the last! Good luck I'll be thinking of you. I hope I have some news too in the next couple of days. I am getting very nervous, but everyone is coming back so positive and overjoyed I know I'll feel that soon all being well!
Dino, I'm totally thrilled for you and have posted on your announcement thread!!!! xxx

hana · 03/08/2004 17:09

hey quacks - good luck! Wasn't sure if you had a second child or not yet.......

Lupe · 03/08/2004 17:53

thanks for all the support - must admit I'm feeling a bit grizzly due to almost total lack of sleep and contractions are STILL not getting any closer than about 7 mins and though not any more intense, quite intense enough for me!

let's hope there's a breakthrough soon!

HelloMama - shopping already? I'm planning a week in bed!!!!

Looking forward to your news Quackers - don't be nervous, sure everything will be fantastic - and big congrats to Dinosaur.

chatee · 03/08/2004 18:33

best wishes quackers-hope everything goes well and i'll look out for the announcement
love chatee

sibble · 03/08/2004 20:43

Lupe, doesn't sound as though you are far away, hang in there and you too quakers, baby is in sight whatever.
All quiet on teh western front here, nothing since false start and show. Has made me really impatient though and had to come home from shopping yesterday felt as though he was trying to crack his way out through my pelvis. Am looking forward to a nice afternoon watching a girlie video with lots of positive 'come on baby time to come out' thoughts.

eyelash · 04/08/2004 09:15

Good luck to all of you waiting - this is the hardest bit. Very exciting for the rest of us though catching up on your news!

muriwai · 04/08/2004 11:36

Hi All,
Three days past my due date and not even a twinge - just a few painless braxton hicks. Really get the impression baby is perfectly happy where she is and that I've got ages to go yet - I don't think I can stand the anticipation!
Toothache any news?
Congrats to Dino and good luck to all you lucky ladies who actually seem to be on the verge of action!
SK how are you holding up?

sponge · 04/08/2004 12:53

40 weeks today.
Just had midwife appointment and have mild pre- eclampsia symptoms so I'm off to the hospital this afternoon to be assessed (and probably just sent home again to wait some more - sigh).

sweetkitty · 04/08/2004 12:56

hi all

Congratulations Dino what a weight as well. Just thinking today would have been my due date as well and DD is 15 days old today what a 15 days it has been as well.

Hugs to all you heavily pregnant in this heat, not long to go now.

Quackers · 04/08/2004 13:34

Hi, pc playing up a bit today, hope this message posts!
Well I saw the consultant this morning and it;s good news! My cervix is very soft and ready to go, the head is fully engaged now(felt this happen yesterday) and dilated about 1-2cm. He said my induction tommorow should go very well well as I'm in a good position. He did a sweep too, which was uncomfortable but ok. Just at home seeing if it works, but if not I'll be in tommorow so you won't hear from me!!!!! Good luck all, Lupe any news???

sibble · 04/08/2004 20:20

good luck quackers, will be thinking of you and looking forward to your news, seems a long time ago now we were chatting on the ttc thread.

will cut a long story short but ended up in hospital being monitored yesterday instead of quiet day watching videos as thought I was bleeding - baby trace good and am having small contractions - but woke to more bleeding today -baby is still moving but am worried. don't want to be paranoid and ring the hospital again but don't want to ignore something serious. my sil had 7 children - I don't know how she dealt with the stress of pregnancy, I am usually quite laid back about most things but find I worry about everything related to pregnancy. Need to breath and calm I think.

bambino1 · 05/08/2004 12:02

I'm due in five days! I'm really excited but really scared. Is anyone feeling the same?
