Oh poor you fox hang in there - 3cm is on the way and with all the worry about dd your oxytocin would have been affected. I bet when she is home and it gets to evening things will start again and you will go off like a rocket!

Do nice things for yourself and dd today - watch a film, make a cake etc - I think you are on the cusp!!

FoxSticks · 13/10/2014 11:27

My me was due to come see me anyway today she's just been and I'm 4cm now. Contractions are back but not regular. It's amazing how much pain you get for such little reward! She has advised bath, paracetamol and try and get some sleep as I only got a couple of hours last night. Dh and dd still at hospital. Looks like they will be there for the afternoon too now.

devoncreamtea · 13/10/2014 14:12

Great that things are progressing! Try to enjoy the peace and quiet and not worry too much about dd. I've got everything crossed for you!

Baby Rocco made his entrance into the world at 7.15 this morning a bit of a dramatic delivery and ventouse but doing fine now, weighs 8lbs 10 am home enjoying his brother and sisters meeting him for the first time :)

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 13/10/2014 17:12

Ahhh excellent news!! Our first Moon Baby!

Congratulations x

Errrr2012 · 13/10/2014 17:23

Congrats! Induction here not making any difference as yet, I'm in for the long haul...

ruth1104 · 13/10/2014 17:37

Congratulations pregnant! How exciting, here's hoping you've started something :D

FoxSticks · 13/10/2014 17:57

there's a trend going on here Smile

My waters broke as I got out of the bath at 11.45 am, I was examined at 12.30, still 4cm but there was meconium in my waters so baby had to be monitored. Into my room at 1.05 pm, I went from 4cm to baby in an hour, I do not recommend a quick delivery Grin

Baby boy , 9lb 12oz born today at 2.06pm. The boy has destroyed me!!!

duvetfan · 13/10/2014 18:18

congratulations in your beautiful new arrivals. I hope your right about the trend. Enjoy all your new born hugs. Smile

devoncreamtea · 13/10/2014 19:01

Wow! Well done pregnant and fox fantastic news!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 13/10/2014 21:33

Congrats Fox!!!!

Fissawissa · 13/10/2014 21:34

Congratulations to you both! Wonderful news - big boys! Smile

I went for routine MW app today at the birthing centre - didn't get a sweep as they couldn't do one due to not having my previous pregnancy details on their computer?? (My DD was born in Ireland) anyway, 39+5 but measured at 44cm so packed off to triage to be assessed by a doc. Sat there for 3 hours & long story short he measured me at 46cm (!) and have to have growth scan in the morn & if he is still in the 95th centile we will have the dreaded induction talk.
Having a bit of a wobble tonight Confused

Oh fissa not what you need so close to due date. Try not to worry, I think the whole measuring thing is wildly inaccurate - hopefully scan will reassure you.

Fissawissa · 13/10/2014 22:02

Thing is this will be my 4th growth scan, he has consistently measured 2 weeks more on them.

I finally had a baby girl at 2.15 this morning. Bit of a marathon, especially since I couldn't hack gas and air. Spent nearly whole day in birthing pool so nicely dehydrated! Ultimately ended fone - no induction and no instruments, so feel quite positive about it all.

Bellyrub1980 · 13/10/2014 23:08

Love the 'on the edge' feel of this thread! I'm 38 weeks so will be a while before I can contribute anything interesting!!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 13/10/2014 23:08

Yaaay Goats so thats nearly bloody everyone on here! Come on BabyHacked - lets get ourselves caught up!!

devoncreamtea · 13/10/2014 23:16

congratulations goats!

fissa - what do they want to do - induce you straight away? You are pretty much there date wise, so I'm sure it would all be fine....equally, it is likely to kick off soon anyway, so what would be the point?! I'm sure they will lay out their reasons for you tomorrow and you can take some time to decide - a big baby is not a medical emergency, so no need to feel overly rushed. How are you feeling about it?

Fissawissa · 13/10/2014 23:43

Congrats goats! Brill news Flowers
Devon I just got so nervous sitting in triage with labouring women around me in need if a bed but there were no beds available! Unfortunately the hospital I'm going to has been classed as awful & has been taken over by another trust.
Anyway, I'm worried about being induced in case this leads to a section. My birth plan was just has & air, in MW led birth centre, aromatherapy etc. Have been doing a different type of hypnobirthing & it's all going out the window!
Plus I'm scared I won't be able to birth a potential 10lber Hmm

Errrr2012 · 14/10/2014 07:03

So me being 'in for the long haul ' turned into a super quick delivery! 1cm at 7.30, 3-4cm at 9.30, baby girl err born at 11.40pm!!!

She's teeny 5lb12oz and she hadnt been born quickly it would've ended in a section cause she wasn't coping with contractions. I had some paracetamol, gas n air and fumbled about with the TENS!!

Errrr2012 · 14/10/2014 07:04

Congrats goats too!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 14/10/2014 07:14

Excellent Errr - maybe astronomers were wrong and it should have beeb a full moon the last day or two.

Fissawissa · 14/10/2014 09:22

Congrats errr! Thanks
