Oh no I forgot about the Downtime today

I've got one of those pregnancy apps on my phone saying what's happening each day. Today it's congratulating me on my baby. Is it a sign or are they just rubbing my face in it? Are they as bored of this never ending pregnancy as me

I'm going for a long walk, ball bouncing and cleaning to fill the mn void and to bring on contractions hacked. Although its not that voidy at the moment.

Any exciting news from anyone?

I had a pleasant surprise this morning. I got the date wrong and my midwife came to see me today instead of Monday! So I had a sweep - yay! It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought, far preferable to sex . In fact it was so much fun I'm having another one on Monday. Apparently I'm 3cm dilated and my cervix is short and soft so she said I was favourable. Fingers crossed the sweep will kick things off.

I'm supposed to be booked in for an induction on Thursday but the hospital is fully booked all week I'm not sure what plan B is yet.

Nothing doing here I've given up tilmy induction on Thursday. I'm still contracting but I'll have a couple of hours then stop, I'm tired and achey now this has been going on since Monday.

ohthegoats is on my antenatal thread and it looked like things were happening for her last night so fingers crossed for her.

I'm still here! Contractions for 18 hours, tens machine painful for most of it, no sleep... every 4-5 minutes, but not getting much stronger or closer together. Been walking, bouncing, dancing, can't shag due to mucus/bloody goo. Bit stuck really. Just want waters to go at home, not have them forced. Then all will be ok. Think I'll be called into MAU tomorrow and probably not allowed out without a fight. Was 3cm dilated before 18 hours of contractions, almost certainly have enough spacr for ARM now. Avoid.

Goats that all sound so positive, I'm really pleased for you! I've got my fingers crossed that your waters go soon

I've just heard from the mw, my induction is booked for next Saturday, but she is going to give me two more sweeps before then so hopefully things will get going before then.

Well, we're off out kitchen shopping, so sods law they'll go in some trade warehouse full of plumbers and kitchen fitters. Fingers crossed.

Just dropped DH off on a night out and amhaving pains

DDs off to bed soon and im going to try and distract myself with Xfactor and dinner and if it becomes regular will chuck myself in a bath and pop some paracetamol. I really dont want tonight to be the nught.

Am 38 weeks exactly today so all is well and I had the steroids a month ago for threatened labour so baby should be nice and strong.

Cxns ramped up and I got scared so have had a half hour soak and some paracetamols.

Have called the MIL to check she is free to come down and sleep over if we need - have said we will only ring if I get to.the point where I need to go to hospital.

Ive yet to tell dh as he will leave his friends house and rush home then fuss iver me and If I dont then have this baby tonught I will feel guilty at dragging him away (even though he wont mind at all!)

Am just going to give my hospital bag a once over.

Trying not to feel too optimistic but I'm pretty certain I'm having regular but mild contractions. My dad is about 45 minutes away so I'm not sure whether to too him off or just see how it goes. They definitely aren't strong enough to count yet but am hoping its a good sign.

Hacked its all looking good at your end! I'm sure your husband wouldn't mind cutting his night short. It might make you feel a bit more relaxed if he were home.

I'm also having regular contractions approx 7 mins apart. They aren't painful though, I just have a bad back. I'm sure it will be just like the other night!
Is it terrible that I don't want to have the baby tomorrow as it's my MILs birthday

Maybe the moon is having a late affect this month!

Fissa- not at all.. I was in active labour on my dads birthday and guess what between contractions I was praying that DS would hold off till the next day.. He came 10 mins after midnight the next day

I myself is sharing a birthday with my uncle and instead of have kids birthday party all my relatives came. So I never had a birthday party! (Long story)

Now I'm 38 weeks with no2 and due date is the 25th. Mil birthday is the 22nd hoping that this one will not arrive on her that day..

How is everyone this morning?

My contractions stopped after a bath and tablets, however ive felt all bruised and tender all night. Thats still here, along with some sharp stinging pains up my fanjo.

Am nervous as am supposed to be taking dd to Disney on Ice tonight - might have to see if anyone else fancies taking her as am scared I am really close

I woke up a few times with painful cramps but they lost their regularity so I guess they were just braxton hicks? I have also been having bloody shows all night but I'm not sure if they count as an imminent sign when bought on by a sweep?
