39 weeks today & a full moon tonight.
Come on baby! Anyone else want to join me in a moon dance tonight?

Managed to get through the comedy show I was seeing tonight - except for the tossers who turned up 20mins in and I didnt really know where to put my bump when they needed to pass. They also left five minutes before the end. Why!?

FoxSticks · 09/10/2014 22:46

Well I'm off to sleep, no doubt I'll wake up racked with disappointment that I'm not in labour. Again. Sleep well everyone. Well, as best you can when uncomfortable, hot, needing to pee every hour, with aching joints and feeling the size of a small house Grin

ohthegoats · 10/10/2014 09:19

Still pregnant, still zen about it. But off to hospital for monitoring in lieu of induction, so I expect the pressure will be ON. Probably come back in a massive grump.

FoxSticks · 10/10/2014 09:36

Still pregnant, incredibly grumpy about it! Good luck at the hospital goats.

Fissawissa · 10/10/2014 10:18

39+2 here & still here too! Think I'm going to get a sweep on Monday, worked the last time so here's hoping!

Well the full moon hasn't worked for me yet. ds was born 3 days after a full moon so still timeGrin

Errrr2012 · 10/10/2014 12:44

Ooh three days after gives us all hope duvetfan! Thought I might be in labour yesterday morning but a paracetamol scared it off again!!

duvetfan · 10/10/2014 13:31

Last night was just one long Braxton Hicks fest, so I was hopeful. Still clutching at straws. I hope at least one of us has a break through soon!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 10/10/2014 13:40

Sounds like we are all in the same pretty uncomfortable boat.

Pregnantagain7 · 10/10/2014 13:48

Been to triage this morn for horrific pain on left side of bump no one exactly sure but think it's either bowel related or muscular.
Contractions were every seven minutes last night then stopped when I went to bed.

They are back today every 8 minutes or so have been told by midwife to bounce on a ball.

Had another sweep while I was there please let tonight be the night!!

ohthegoats · 10/10/2014 14:08

Had sweep, a fucking big one, on the delivery suite. Now at home with everything hurting... and a bowl of chocolate and some shit telly. Better bloody work.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 10/10/2014 14:15

finger crossed legs uncrossed!

Am on the sofa trying to keep my eyes awake while dd plays witg her Happyland stuff on the floor. Shes outgrown her naps and last night woke four times Sad she is so confused about the baby coming.

duvetfan · 10/10/2014 14:40

Fingers crossed for you ohthegoats. Keep us posted. Hope it happens soon. Flowers

duvetfan · 10/10/2014 14:42

Pregnantagain7 hope you are feeling better today. Hope the sweep works. Hope baby pregnant makes a move soon. Flowers

devoncreamtea · 10/10/2014 15:17

OOh hopeful signs pregnant and goats - good luck for tonight! Still in the boat too, so bloody massive I might capsize it.

How fast did your sweep work fissawissa? I've got one next week.

FoxSticks · 10/10/2014 15:30

Fingers crossed goats and pregnant. I think my little girl is really confused too Hacked, she's been really playing up this week and I don't have as much patience as normal Sad. I'm worried this baby is never going to come out Grin

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 10/10/2014 19:06

Apparently some serious nipple.twiddling/rubbing is the only non medical thing guaranteed to spur your body into labour.

Anyone desperate enough to start twiddling?

Errrr2012 · 10/10/2014 19:11

Oh dear, bit of a jibbering wreck now. Just put DS to bed on my own, hubby working late, and he was a little star. Had a lovely milk and books time and he is silent straight away. I've realised that this is the last time I'll be doing this just me and him. MIL is here tomorrow and wants to put him to bed as a practice as she's looking after him while I'm in hospital. I'm being induced the following day. So our little world is going to change very soon! Feeling emotional people!!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 10/10/2014 19:12

Ahhh errrr what a lovely sweet little moment Grin

Errrr2012 · 10/10/2014 19:18

I may well of been feeling very differently if he'd been a little bugger! About a month ago I was ready to ebay him!!! The kid has turned it around......just when I'm feel particularly pathetic!

duvetfan · 10/10/2014 20:41

Errrr that's such a lovely post. My ds is 2.5 and has been so good in the last week or so and very cuddly. I hope it doesn't mean he will be a horror when the baby appears. Good luck with the induction. With ds I went the day before I was due to be induced so you never know. Smile

Fissawissa · 10/10/2014 22:50

Devoncreamtea I had a sweep on my daughter Thursday 11am, started getting pains that afternoon & had her Friday at 2.25pm.
Hoping it works as well on Monday!

devoncreamtea · 11/10/2014 03:36

fingers crossed fissa! am awake with heartburn - arrrr!

FoxSticks · 11/10/2014 05:00

Awake here too - not with contractions sadly. Maybe there will be some good news from goats or pregnant by the time mumsnet is back up.

I've got my sweep in Monday too Devon, I'll be 41+2 then, or do you say 40+9? I've kind of given up hope of anything happening by itself before then.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 11/10/2014 05:45

Ahh my sister and her other half became aunt and uncle yesterday when his sister had her little one! Lovely news but all I could think was "its myyyyy turn!"1
