MrsGiraffe12 · 27/05/2014 10:30

penguinita GOOD LUCK!!!! How exciting you will have baby penguin in your arms soon :-)

And thanks for all the well wishes. I always knew I was hob risk for PET again but it's still frustrating and scary all the same, especially with an older DC to look after x

amicablemoomin · 27/05/2014 10:44

Wow, penguinita, how exciting! Good luck! We are all thinking of you!

Penguin13 · 27/05/2014 10:57

How exciting Penguinita. Good luck!

LondonJen · 27/05/2014 12:12

Good luck today and with your scan tomorrow Joosie

I don't know about cervix. I could swear I am being walloped in the colon/back passage now and again.

I had no libido till about 16 weeks! DP is being all 'your body is a mothering temple' though and refuses to have sex. I am still me you know! It's very hard not to take it personally.

I sleep really well one night then the next night go to bed tired and am wide awake an hour later. Drives me mad.

Sorry to hear MrsG but I am glad you are being seen and properly looked after.

What a strange lady Amum I hope you can avoid her in future Shock

Yey for little Penguin hatching!!!

Baby blanket arrived today (bright stripes non-gendery!) Planning to buy all the small items now (new mattress for moses basket etc) because will need all July and August money for the large purchases like pram, even though will be going 2nd hand.. Trying not to stress about money.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 27/05/2014 13:15

LondonJen I need to start shopping too. I see you are due half a month after me! I have a shopping list but I'm a bit scared spending money will jinx it. I know it's rather silly. I need some large spend too, like a new mattress and a new wardrobe. (I'm planning DD to move onto the guest bed. She's in a cot bed atm). But nothing as big as the pram.

Pixielady83 · 27/05/2014 14:49

I haven't been on here in ages (11 wk old Imogen keeping me busy!) but just wanted to post a belated congratulations to bakingtins so pleased your little girl has arrived safely! And loads of luck to penguinita and emki, hope everything goes smoothly :-)

Really lovely to see some familiar names reaching big milestones, wishing you all the very best wherever you are in your journeys xxx

Alb1 · 27/05/2014 15:06

mrsG sorry to hear your having a bad time, really hope your new meds manage to keep your symptoms away

Emki · 27/05/2014 15:21

Good luck penguin!! Very exciting! Xxx

squizita · 27/05/2014 15:54

Just looked at things in Mothercare. Travel systems and moses baskets and the like. Need to psych myself up to actually BUY them!

Hi everyone I'm back! 5 days of radio silence due to being stuck in hospital with no wifi. Thankyou everyone for your lovely messages and good luck penguinita

So having said nothing was happening had my first contraction at 11.30 on Thursday night and Faith was delivered by Bridget of OBEM fame 80 minutes later. Luckily Grandma was in residence, we set off straight away and arrived at the hospital with 50 mins to spare. A few desperate drags puffs of gas and air later we had a daughter! After a massive PPH last time I lost only 150ml of blood and no tears, so remarkably unscathed by her rapid arrival. Faith was just under the cut-off weight for discharge so we were admitted for observation and in fact she did have problems stabilising her blood sugar and had to go to SCBU to be tube fed donor milk. Just as we got that sorted she developed jaundice and has been having phototherapy in an incubator like the starship enterprise, but we have finally escaped. My sons are thrilled with her, as am I Smile
Thank you all for your support during the pregnancy, it has meant so much. Wishing you all equally happy endings Flowers

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 27/05/2014 17:05

Woohoo! Go Penguinita! Grin
Hope everything goes smoothly and you're enjoying your newborn snuggles soon

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 27/05/2014 17:08

Glad to hear you're back home and you and baby Faith are doing well baking Thanks

fedupofrainydays · 27/05/2014 17:28

Go penguinita!! Hope all is going well!

Glad to hear you are out of hospital now baking and no PPH to deal with - that's great. Glad faith is now up to weight too.

amicablemoomin · 27/05/2014 17:57

thanks so much for letting us know you are both back home baking. It's so inspiring for me, just past the starting line, to hear people reaching the end (of this stage). Gives us hope! Enjoy every cuddle!

TeaRex · 27/05/2014 18:01

Good luck penguinita :) and glad you're home baking
No news from me, first midwife appt tomorrow but I'm just thinking this is all void until I have my scan next week and know what's going on. Anyone else got scans coming up?

Seasides · 27/05/2014 18:12

Go go pingu! Good luck penguin, you might even be mummy penguin by now!

Glad everything's sorted out fine baking, and you're all home safely. What an amazing quick labour, I hope I take a leaf out of that book when/if I get there!

Glad I'm not the only one who's no sex goddess just now Wink Until the 1st December that is, when DH is going to be on serious 'get this baby out of me before Christmas' duty!

My 12 week scan is the 9th, tea, and I'm cacking myself for no good reason except paranoia and fear.

TeaRex · 27/05/2014 18:49

seasides know how you feel :( keep comparing this pregnancy to my last and they're so alike I'm not overly positive (fish slaps please) still I should be past my 9week 'danger zone' at the scan so at least I'll know what's what.
one I brought a few bits before even ttc my daughter and when pregnant with her and nothing bad happened at all, with my last pregnancy I bought nothing and it ended in mc so please don't feel like you'll jinx anything (though that is a bit two faced of me as I'm desperately trying to mimic everything I did when pregnant with my dd so this baby's okay :/ I've turned into a superstitious nutter)

Itscurtainsforyou · 27/05/2014 18:53

Hello all. I've had a very slow day at work today, which has meant too much time to stress about pregnancy - I must've been to the loo 10 times, "just to check" nothing bad was happening... I'm not even 6 weeks yet and need to pull myself together.

aMuminwaiting · 27/05/2014 18:59

Wow, it's all been go on here. Congratulations on the new arrivals.
Had my scan today and to my relief two punning heartbeats were seen straight away!

aMuminwaiting · 27/05/2014 19:00

pounding

EnglishGirlsReturned · 27/05/2014 19:03

Good luck Penguinita!Exciting!! Grin

Glad you and Faith are home, safe and sound Baking

Sorry you're having a bit if a rubbish time MrsG, hopefully they'll keep a close eye on things and you'll be just fine.

amicablemoomin · 27/05/2014 19:11

fantastic news amum! How wonderful!

Seasides and tea I'll join you with the scanoia if I may - I have a second reassurance scan on Monday and am totally bricking it. Just feeling like it can't go right. I'll be eleven weeks.

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 27/05/2014 19:16

Congratulations aMum, that's great news!

Just booked myself a scan for Thursday, when I'll be 8 weeks by my reckoning, though that's dating from first day of last MC rather than LMP so I have no idea how accurate that'll be. Got my BFP nearly 5 weeks ago though so I should be at least 7 weeks and able (hopefully!) to see a heartbeat.
Both excited and terrified. At least I don't have to wait long!

fedupofrainydays · 27/05/2014 19:36

So chuffed for you amum. That's lovely news! Both doing well - that's great!!!
