Good to see you here gail x

Penguin13 · 24/05/2014 14:24

Welcome Gail and congratulations! Great to see you here.

Nerdy poor you that sounds miserable. Really hope it eases up for you soon.

Penguinita · 24/05/2014 14:38

amum I'm sure it is fine but understand why you would be worried, are you able to go to EPU or hospital today to get checked out and put your mind at rest?

seasides - non-threatening thongs??? The mind boggles! Grin

cuppa I wouldn't take medical advice from the receptionist, if tea works for you then stick with it. I think it is only recently that they started advising on restricting caffeine at all, so it can't be that bad.

Great scan news fedup and mabel! Congrats.

nerdy that just sounds miserable, poor you Sad. Sometimes morning sickness can come back later in the pregnancy and strike at strange times, maybe that is what you are getting. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your weekend away.

Welcome gail and congrats on your bfp.

I'm slightly regretting the hot curry I had last night, the only thing it seems to have kick started is a mild case of piles! Sorry TMI - but it is a painful combination! Blush

LondonJen · 24/05/2014 16:37

You poor thing Nerdy, that's terrible. Have you spoken to your mw? Is it just one of those odd pregnancy things that can happen?

Welcome Gail congratulations on your bfp! Wishing you a sticky bean.

Amum sorry to hear but at least it is brown and only a little. Hopefully that will be it. I would think being 8 weeks-ish it could be in line with when your period would have been which I believe is quite a typical pattern?

Penguinita I hope it was a good curry to make it worth it!

Seasides · 24/05/2014 17:06

Ha ha penguin, didn't even see that typo! Boo for piles, not what your weekend needs...

nerdy, you poor thing, that sounds really horrible (sad). It's not a bug or anything you've eaten?

Hi Gail! Congrats on the bfp, good to see you.

Emki · 24/05/2014 19:38

Oh poor you penguin not nice! I'm having another curry tonight! Xxxx

Cakebaker35 · 24/05/2014 20:53

Ouch penguin!

I'm in need of a fish slap please. I'm 5+4 and can't get out of my head that this would've been around the time I mmc'd. I keep thinking it's happening again, trying hard to get a grip but just feel such a sense of dread. I was feeling bloated with sore boobs but now feel like the bloating has gone and keep prodding my boobs thinking they aren't quite as sore. I really should know better, I had almost zero symptoms with my dd so why do I keep doing this to myself? Grrr. Bucket of haddock over my head.

Seasides · 24/05/2014 21:31

Little sardine slap cake, because I''ve done the same thing several times, including just now poking my boobs a bit worried coz they're not sore-but all my symptoms have come and gone throughout. I have felt totally fine for a day or two every now and then, for them to return afterwards. Please don't worry, symptoms coming and going is totally normal.

Cakebaker35 · 24/05/2014 22:36

Thank you seasides I still find it amazing how pregnancy turns me from a fairly normal, relaxed, functioning person into a crazy lady I hardly recognise! X

Cuppachaplz · 24/05/2014 23:18

nerdy that's sounds really miserable. Hope you feel better soon x
amum how frightening, big hugs. EPU should offer a scan to check baby and see why. Hope things settle soon
Welcome gail
mabel what fab news re scan, a full tribe of boys! :D
cake, as as seaside says, we've all done it (not me recently, boobs feel like they are stuffed with chillis right now) things cone and go, I'm sure you'll be back to wishing for less soreness and bloat soon, take care

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/05/2014 05:45

penguin have you tried raspberry leaf tea? Maybe your body might like it a bit better.

amum hope your bleeding has gone by now and you are feeling ok.

cake first trimester symptoms are supposed to come and go a bit. You are pregnant. Keeping repeating this to yourself.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/05/2014 05:46

And welcome gail on board.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 25/05/2014 07:59

Eurgh... Pink cm last night. Had a cry. As much as I want this with very ounce of my being, I hate being pregnant. It's fully of worry and anxiety. I feel like I'm teetering on the edge and could fall any moment.

I hope those who are also feeling anxious for various reasons feel a bit better this morning. Hopefully the sunshine will brighten our moods.

Penguin13 · 25/05/2014 09:50

I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious English I know you know that there are plenty of times people have bleeding in pregnancy for non-sinister reasons but I also know it's horrible and anxiety- inducing to experience. Offering a hand to hold.

Cake you are in good company! I'm kind of surprised I didn't break Google with the amount of searches I did over every single aspect of this second pregnancy and what it could possibly mean Blush.

I hope it's sunny where you all are and you're able to relax and enjoy the long weekend.

squizita · 25/05/2014 11:00

Quick wave, hope I don't miss anyone!

cake I was like that all the time! Things come and go. Usually all is well. :)

Hope the spotting clears English and Amum, what an anxious time.

Penguin poo problems are hateful. Yuk. Poor you.

Cuppa In all seriousness I would complain. Imagine if this receptionist is handing out advice to others and it harmed or caused anxiety to you. If the mW has allowed it, it is allowed. Full stop.

I dropped off the thread as have been away for the week, and so much has happened!

Big congratulations to Bakingtins on little Faith arriving successfully x Hope you are enjoying some family time now x

I'm feeling a bit vulnerable today as I passed a clot have the size of my palm. I went to A&E to be referred to EPU to see if they can see what's occurring. I mc at 12 weeks last time, so this is very early for me and unknown.

My fibroid is massive again and obscuring a decent image. Dates say I'm 6+3, but my long cycle and later ov say I'm 5+5. All they could see was a 'cystic area' but couldn't say whether it was a viable pregnancy or not.

I've got to go back on Tuesday afternoon for more bloods so they can check my hcg again. They might scan again on Weds with the consultant there to cast his expert eye. So in the meantime, everything is crossed and I'm hoping for no more bleeding!

Am feeling scared and anxious again. I've got the dread I had last time and am finding it hard to switch off from it. Sorry to bring the tone of the thread down. In hoping I'm still pregnant but am finding it hard to be posifrickintive at the mo. All fish slaps/sage words appreciated.

squizita · 25/05/2014 18:47

Good luck Joosie - I hope they can see something positive on Weds. x

joosiewoosie · 25/05/2014 19:19

Thanks Squiz. If I'm honest I feel a little tearful today as I think it's brought it all back from the mc last September. Trying to stay positive but struggling!Confused

amicablemoomin · 25/05/2014 19:34

hi joosie, what an anxious time for you. It's good you are 'in the system' and there is a plan. Thinking of you. I know the wait is dreadful. FX crossed for wed.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/05/2014 19:47

Hi joosie you have every reason to not feel positive atm. Hopefully you will have good scan results on Wednesday so you can feel good about being pregnant again. I'm glad you are being taken care of by the EPU.

joosiewoosie · 25/05/2014 20:38

Thanks Moomin and Terror. Weds seems like a long way away at the mo, and I'm on crotch watch paranoid status...I keep 'feeling' bleeding that is not there to any great extent. It's not much fun is it. Thanks for the metaphorical handholding and proper words of support though. Much valued x

squizita · 25/05/2014 21:09

Quick question for ladies with kids or in the later stages - if the baby kicks your cervix it won't cause bleeds or problems will it? I'm 24 weeks and the little so and so has just delivered 5 or 6 very definite kicks. I went 'oof' cause I really felt them! Much more sensitive than the side of the belly as you might imagine.

OP posts:
fedupofrainydays · 25/05/2014 21:30

joosie that must have been scary passing a clot that big. With that and the fibroid I can understand why you aren't feeling too positive at the mo. But I hope there is no further bleeding and having the consultant there on weds helps. Fx for you.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/05/2014 21:31

squitz I have the same question I wanted to ask my midwife but I won't see her until 28 weeks! (I'm 23 weeks currently). I don't remember my first ever being so active. But I've got a few definite punches to my cervix. I'm worried maybe I have a weakened cervix and that's why it's so much more noticeable? I know I'm being paranoid, but I can't help it.

fedupofrainydays · 25/05/2014 21:35

How are you amum and english? Hope no more dark blood / pink cm?

No news here - am just overly emotional and tired.
