Hiya stac,

We've been trying since may/June last year, he is being quite annoying, he really wants a baby but he will be the first one out of all his friends to have one and he only works with 1 other bloke ( who doesn't have any children either)

He said that all I go on about is having a baby which I think is nearly true.LOL.

How old are you and your partner if you don't mind me asking?

stac14 · 24/01/2009 13:53

Hi Claire,
I'm 29 and he's 33, we both have a sone each mine is 9 and his is 10 so we were quite young parents and it happened very easily the first time so it was quite a shock when this time it wasnt happening for us. He says I go on about it a lot too but I think thats because I have to remember so much stuff with days dates and times so its hard not it to make it the focus of everything. I try not to talk to my friends and stuff about it so they dont think I have babies on the brain. How old are you two? It's quite scary how quickly it seems to take over your life isnt it lol xxx

claire001 · 24/01/2009 16:12

hey stac

Were both 24 and neither of us have any children, when we first started trying I didn't think it would take over my life like it has, I could talk about it all day but then it gets my hopes up so much and then I get really dissapointed that it hasn't happen yet. I thought it would be so easy to fall pregnant. Sorry to moan. X x

stac14 · 24/01/2009 19:24

Hi Claire, your not moaning, it is very hard. I also thought it would be so eay to fall pregnant and was shocked that there was anything wrong with me and I think thats another reason why it has taken over my life because I feel guilty about the problems we are having. I like this thing cos I can come one and people know what I am talking about without having to go through the whole story lol. So anytime you fancy a moan pop on and i'll get back to you lol
Are you starting to clomid today or tomorrow? Let me know how you get on. Stac xxx

stac14 · 26/01/2009 22:24

Hi Claire,
I have felt a bit uncomfortable but nothing too sore so part of me is wondering if I am. I finished my period pretty quickly on the clomid too it must be to do with that. Have you had any side effects on the clomid? I was quite moany and the flushes were quite bad but its supposed to get better the more you take it, hopefully I wont find that out lol xx

claire001 · 26/01/2009 23:02

hi stac,

That's made me feel better that your period was short aswell, I haven't had any side effects at all and hoping that it stays that way. I really hope it happens to us soon, why did you have a blood test on Friday and having to have another 1 next week, I thought you only had to do 1 once a month, x

stac14 · 26/01/2009 23:20

Hi Claire
The doc just wanted to double check as this was my first time using the clomid. I'm glad you haven't had any side effects think some women can be really bad, I would say mine was too bad just a bit like bad pmt lol

BrandyBaby · 27/01/2009 09:17

Hello Valz !!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to you! I was wondering what dose of clomid you were on? and for how long? And for how many months? and if you were tracking your ovulation? Let me know please! I love hearing success stories!! and how long before you knew you were pregnant??

BrandyBaby · 27/01/2009 09:25

I was on birth control pills for 6 years. I waited 6 months before my hubby and I started ttc.

I went on clomid 50mg.... for 4 months

Went off for 2 months. (but tried naturally)

I went back on clomid 100mg. This is my first month on it.

I was ovulating everyday on day 12, but for some reason this month only I ovulated on day 15. (I think it could be from the higher dose)

Has anyone else got pregnant on clomid 100mg?

Thank you ladies so much!!!!!!!!!

littlestar08 · 27/01/2009 13:07

Hi Everyone,

I have PCOS and irregular periods (once a year) have been trying for a baby for a year and a half.

I have had 4 cycles of clomid and only ovulated in the fourth cycle

1st Cycle @50mg- Progesterone at day 21= 1.2
2nd Cycle @100mg-Progesterone less than one
3rd Cycle @100mg-Progesterone less than one
4th Cycle @100mg-Progesterone= 26.2

I have had a month break and am on day 31 and cant bring myself to do a preganancy test because afraid it will be negative...Going to go for it tommorow morning.....

Babydust to all *

claire001 · 27/01/2009 21:11

hi stac and emsielou

I'm feeling ok physically but just really fed up of waiting for everything and everyting taking so long, when is it going to be my turn!
I no that sounds really selfish and spoilt but I just really want to have a baby, my partners brothers girlfriend has got a 6 month old little boy and all she does is give it to my boyfriends mum, even though she is on maternity leave and it makes me really annoyed that she cant even be bothered to look after him.

God I really need to pull myself together!

emsielo, that's good that you don't need to up your dose, hopefully you won't come on this month and you can give us some good news

Loads and loads of baby dust X X X

BrandyBaby · 28/01/2009 05:44

Hi Stac14

Are you tracking your ovulation? and what dose clomid are you taking?

I know four woman that got pregnant on clomid...
1 get prego the 1st month...
2 of them got prego the second month...
and 1 got prego the 4th month...

So i know it works!!!

LOTS OF BABY DUST!!!!!!!

stac14 · 28/01/2009 10:14

Hi brandbaby
I have been tracking my ovulation, I should be ovulating between 25th and 30th of this month but I 'm not too optimistic this month cos my gp gave me the clomid differently from the others, I am currently on 50mg.

Hi Claire it does seem to take ages because we always seem to be waiting for one date or another, I feel as if I have been constantly wishing the days away. My big bug bear at the moment is all the girls falling pregnant round me who dont actually want to be pregnant, then I think of the struggle we are going through and it makes me mad

I am just trying to keep positive and hope that this all works
hows you emsielou?
XXX

BrandyBaby · 28/01/2009 23:19

Stac14

Are you taking ovulation predictors kits? They work very well for me. what days do you take the clomid 50mg? I take Clomid 100mg... on days 3-7. baby dust to you!!!!

stac14 · 29/01/2009 21:05

Hi Brandy
The doc gave me progesterone for 10 days to induce a bleed as I havent had a period since stopping the pill and told me to take the clomid the day after the progesterone finished which I did but I didnt bleed till the last 50mg clomid. I havent tried the ovulation kits, I am trying not to get to worry too much about it all and just working it with dates. How long have you been trying? xx

BrandyBaby · 29/01/2009 21:22

stac14
I have been trying for exactly 12 months. 4 months on clomid 50mg and now clomid 100mg. This is my first month on 100mg. How many months have you been trying? What days are you taking your clomid? I think if you used ovulation kits that might help. But try and now to stress too much because it can normally take in between 12-18 moths to conceive. And that?s if both partners are perfect! Just relax! Im here for you hun.
