Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

When I had read all the stuff on here I called him to ask if I should definately take the clomid before the bleed started and he checked and told me to go with his advice, so who knows lol. I'll let you know later what he says. Heres hoping he hasnt mucked it up lol XXX

I have PCOS and have just finished my first round of clomd 50mg, the worst thing I went through was hot flushes and what seemed like bad PMT, hope it works for you XX

Saw the doc, I have to count my ovulation from the first day of my period which was properly started today. He wants me in for blood tests 10 & 18 days after the clomid was finished to see if I have ovulated, so i suppose i just have to accept what he has said. the next cyle isnt due until i see the gynecologist (aarrgghh so much info lol)

do you know whats causing the pains? doc says its normal for the clomid to make you moody so my partner's glad cos it means i dont actually hate him lol

hi all, i have been tryin to get pregnant now for over 2 years was prescribed clomid last march after a series of tests done on me and my partner..and discovered that the only thing was that i had pcos and wasnt havin regular periods.. whilst waitin on my nxt period to come to start clomid i discovered i was pregnant and conceived naturally, unfortunatley my pregnancy ended at 11 1/2 weeks .. i waited a few months before startin my clomid as i didnt feel quite ready... my period is here now after my second cycle of clomid so 2moro i will start my 3rd cycle... i havent to have any more scans as my consultant said i am very predictable on the way that i realease eggs so i know when to take my tables and know the best times too have SI.. i dont have to go bk 2 my consultant until june until all my cycles are finished and then we will discuss wot to do nxt... i am startin to give up hope all i have ever wanted was a baby, i wud give anythin... hope every1 has a lot of luck

I am sorry for your loss and hope you get a bf soon. My partner and I have been trying since April and presumed everything was ok as we both have a ds each to other partners but I have also been diagnosed with pcos, it is really disheartening but by reading the threads on this I have been more positive, we had our first round of clomid last week so I have my fingers and toes crossed

Hi all,Sorry i havent been on in a while, I had my hsg and it wasnt half as bad as what i thought it was going to be, i am due on any day so really excited to be startin clomid.

just came on to let you know i had a scan yesterday and there is definately two babies and two clear heartbeats, so the clomid has done wonders for me. im 10 weeks at the mo and due back for my anti natel scan in 3 weeks. hope the clomid works as well for yous as it did for me. how are you all doing?

Congratulations Valz so chuffed for you, definately makes taking the clomid easier when you hear a story like yours.

Thats me going for my first blood test tomorrow and should be ovulating from sunday so keep your fingers crossed for me. How many cyles of clomid have you had emsielou?

Need a bit of advise,Has anyone on here taken provera before?

hi stac14 im on my 2nd month of clomid.due period a week tomoz.got blood test tomoz to see if ive ovulated again.how long u been on clomid? last month i ovulated and i came on period on the 28th day like should do so was well happy.

Hi emsielou, only took it for the first time this month, have my blood test to see if i am ovulating tomorrow then I have to go back next friday to check my progesterone levels again so i am hoping it works bt doubt i will be as lucky as valz. How have you found the side effects?

Hey Claire, the provera is the same as the norethisterone that i took to bring on my period, its just synthetic progesterone, have you been put on that? it can be used for lots of things but for me its because i'm not producing enough progesterone to menstrate, hope this helps

Yeah iv been put on provera to bring on my period but im 4 days late and dont no how long it should normally take.I took it last month and i came on 2 days after finishing it?

I finished mine on the Thursday and never came on till the following Wednesday give it another couple of days, it should happen if not phone the doc on Monday. Are you starting the clomid when you come on? xxx

Iv got to take clomid days 2 till 6 so do I take it tomorrow or Sunday?

I think if you are bleeding properly then you should start the clomid tomorrow if not then start it on sunday, think thats what i read through the thread, when i took the progesterone my period was light for about 2 days then started properly. Its weird lol

hi stac, thanks for the advise, my god I have never been so excited as I am thinking about taking it for the first time, I am preying ut works, my period pains are the worst ever but hopefully be worth it!

I had really bad period pains too, so sore lol. I should be ovulating by Sunday had a blood test today and have to go back next Friday to see if I have ovulated. We are excited too, dont want to get too excited in case it doesnt happen this month. Well fingers crossed for the both of us xxxx

We have been trying since april last year, he is interested in it but worried about me, he doesnt want me to go through unneccessary stuff, but think its safe to say he is very broody, says he's surrounded by pregnant woman and its not the one it should be lol. I just feel quite sorry for him cos he is having to put up with all the moods and moaning about everything, but when it comes to appointments and stuff he is always there with me. What about you? How long have you been trying and is your partner ok with it all? xxx
