Hey Folie

I have never heard of this white egg thing, What is it?????????????? how do you take it??????????? sorry if i sound really thick xx

folie · 14/04/2009 13:27

Hi Claire,

Here i attached the info how to use it :
Getting Started

You will want to track your ovulation so you know when your most fertile times are. When you know it is your best chance at getting pregnant you will want to take an egg and sit in on the counter for a while until it becomes room temperature. You will need to crack the egg and separate the yolk from the white immediately before having sex so that you have time to place the egg white (that?s room temperature!) into your vagina. Remember, just the white, not the yolk as the yolk could introduce bacteria into your body. Also, you need to use the egg white immediately after cracking it. Leaving it cracked and separated for more than a few minutes could result in the egg white being contaminated with bacteria. Once you have the egg white inserted you are ready to get your groove on!

How Does it Work?

There is no guarantee that you will get pregnant using this method, however the egg whites do create an environment that is sperm friendly because it is similar to mucus. This helps the sperm travel to the egg and fertilize it. If you are ovulating then you will increase your chances of getting pregnant.

Here you can also read some testimony :
babyfertile.blogspot.com/2008/04/egg-white-as-natural-fertility-aid.html

I have been reading many articles saying that clomid dries you up and that this method has made a difference for many couples. It s safe,so why not?

Hi Try the above site it tells you all amount the egg white thing see soem below

Egg whites can provide a mucus-like environment
which is sperm friendly.
Take an egg out of the fridge
set it on the counter
for approximately 1 hour,
so it can reach room temp.
Before DTD,
crack open the egg
separate the yolk from the white
and insert the room temperature white
gently into your vagina
To prevent infection, be sure to insert
the egg white immediately.
After you crack open the egg
DO NOT leave it at
room temperature for more
than a few minutes.
I understand that
egg white is used in labs
for sperm storage!
Worried about bacteria?
It is the yolk
not the egg white that would
carry bacteria.

Thanks Girls,

So you have to out the egg white in before you have sex? doesnt it go all over the place?

stac14 · 14/04/2009 15:23

I've heard of using egg whites on babies bums to help with nappy rash but didn't know you could use them as lubricant, not sure about this sounds messy lol think I will stick with the grapefruit juice to enhance cm

How are you all today I still hae no af I'm now on CD 49 don't know what to do, has anyone else taken over a week to come on after taking provera?? xxx

claire001 · 14/04/2009 15:27

Hey stac

I didnt realise that you had taken provera aswell! i have read that it can take 10 days for you to come on after taking it but i would phone your doctor just to double check,X

stac14 · 14/04/2009 16:19

Hi Claire
phoned my gp, he said he basically didn't have a clue, didnt think there was any point doing a pregnancy test as bloods showed no signs of ov, which I knew so advised me to phone my consultant, who is off till tomorrow afternoon, so was advised to phone the early pregnancy unit and I am currently waiting for a call back. I got changed from the norethisterone to the provera as my cycle was working out at 55 days doesnt look much different this time even with the change lol just wish someone knew what I should do, can I just start clomid or do I have to wait for af? xxx

claire001 · 14/04/2009 16:34

hey stac

i wouldnt think you should start taking it till you do come on, What did you say to the earlie pregnancy unit? X

stac14 · 14/04/2009 16:57

Have you done it yet, the suspense is nearly killing me!

stac14 · 14/04/2009 20:01

Hey Claire
just did it, BFN as I knew it would be, so phoning the consultant tomorrow. Someone told me that my womb lining may be too thin for af as I havent ov'd which seems likely as this is the 3rd time I have used progesterone to take af, will just have to wait and see lol How are you? xx

claire001 · 15/04/2009 09:28

Hey stac

Oh i was really hoping that it was going to be positive, We need some good news on here, havent had any for ages. X

nettynoodle · 15/04/2009 09:42

Colmid does work. And i really hope it works for you. I have got polycystic overys, got pregnant natually n had miscarriage. Could get pregnant after so was given colomid and a folical trecking, which is an internal scan around the time of ovulation to tell you when you are going to ovulate. I got pregnant with twins on the second cycle. They are now 5. Then had a further 2 miscarriages in 07 after conceiving naturally. Then could get pregnant again. Had 3 cycles of colomid with the trecking and it didnt work. They book he in to have ovarian drilling, i was told to take one last cycle of colomid without anyother treatment. And then i was not to get pregnant until after the op. But i got pregnant that cycle and i an now 36wks and i can wait.
Sometime you just have to try and relax and not worry to much about it. I really hope that it happerns for you very soon. xxx

claire001 · 15/04/2009 15:04

claire001 · 15/04/2009 21:56

ey stac,

I'm alright just really want to come on so I can start it again, everything is about waiting and its starting to drive me mad! Why can't we just be normal and be able to fall pregnant straight away

stac14 · 15/04/2009 22:50

Hey claire DP and I were talking last night and we have been trying for a year now, can't believe it. When I had DS I stopped the pill in the may and was pregnant by the July just shows how much your body changes over time, wish it was that easy now. Feel as if we have a whole new set of worries we have to face before we even have a baby, sorry for going on just feeling a bit crappy just now. xx

Clwc · 15/04/2009 22:57

Hello everyone,

I'm on cd 17 for the first cycle of clomid at 50mg. I don't have any children. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism (diagnosed in 2008). Oh, and I'm almost 30. Eek.

It is great to hear that there are a lot of success stories on here, but I've always had a feeling I would find it difficult to conceive (rare periods since age 13). If I'm not supposed to bear a child, I will be very happy to adopt. That's something else I've always known. As long as I become a Mum one day, I'll feel complete.

My GP prescribed the clomid, after a lot of persuasion (they wanted me to lose weight, blah, blah, blah), but she isn't doing any scans, taking bloods, or anything else. She's just letting me get on with it. I believe I ovulated quite quickly after taking the pills (pains, unusual discharge, etc), but I have no idea if that was really the case, nor how many ova may have been released.

I took the pills after 5pm, and didn't really experience the side-effects until after day 5, since when I have had abdomen pains, bad mood, weepiness, extreme tiredness, and 'ovulation' twinges (still occurring).

claire, stac and others; I wish you all the best, just as I have my fingers crossed for myself.

xx

PS "Clwc" is a Welsh word.

claire001 · 15/04/2009 23:06

hey stac,
I no its so hard isnt it, we've been trying for just over a year now and it feels like were no closer, we just have to try and stay positive, x

Hey clwc,

Welcome, when are you due on then? Its really good that you ovulated on your first try and on such a small dosage, X

stac14 · 15/04/2009 23:14

Hi Clwc
Reading your story is like reading about myself lol. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. I have found this thread great as we can share our ups and downs so please keep in touch to let us know how your getting on, ignore my ramblings today I'm just being moody lol Are you getting monitored on the clomid with blood tests or scans? Its important for your gp to monitor you.

claire Sorry for being such a moaning faced cow, I know we will get there and have lovely bouncing babies that we can go onto another thread to talk about

baby dust to us all ***

Clwc · 15/04/2009 23:20

Hi Claire,

I'm not 100% sure I ovulated, probably 85% sure though! As I'm not being tested for anything (bloods, scans), I think I should be due on around 20th - 22nd April, maybe a little later. I'll try to test late April if there's no sign of AF.

I don't think I'm getting my hopes up just yet though. Because of being so irregular before, I used to keep a stock of tests in the medicine cupboard. I went to the hospital once for very heavy bleeding and explained that I used to test a lot. They told me not to do that anymore, so that I don't end up depressed every time. Now I don't have any tests in the house

xx
