Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw my consultant again this morning and i havent ovulated AGAIN Iv got to have another scan on monday then call her when i next come on and she is going to put me on the waiting list for ovarian drilling! im not happy

Hi Claire

Is this your CD 10 scan? Maybe the clomid is making you ovulate later this can happen especially on the basis you took period yourself. I had CD 28 blood results today and I haven't ovulated either but they still took CD35 bloods. Have to start progesterone again, have asked for a different version though, doubt I will get it so it will be another fortnight before I come on. So hard to stay positive, hope your ok chick xxx

This is day 13 for me, All my blood tests come back really low, the highest result iv had is 4! so definetly dont think im ovulating, Cant belive how long iv got to wait till i start taking clomid again. X

just a wee note to say keep positive, ive great faith in clomid. i always come in for a catch up to see if theres any good news on this thread. im going for my 21 week scan on monday and wouldnt be if it weren't for clomid. hope you are all keeping well. take care

Hi claire I just spoke to my GP to see if he would give me provera instead of progesterone as the progesterone is a 10 day bloody course which means no clomid for me for another fortnight, you will be on cycle 4 by then and I will just be doing cycle 3. worked out I am having a 50 day cycle hardly encouraging for getting bfp when I am only taking period every 6 weeks (oops sorry to go on) Think I am sick of waiting for bloods, pills to be taken counting days etc.
On a lighter note, have you decided what kind of pup your going for? xxx

We are both going through the mill a bit rnt we, I won't start on my 4th round untill iv had the drilling I think so you will be well ahead of me by then, don't think I'll be taking it again till beginning of july ish, I'm just so frustrated by it all, have you ever ovulated on clomid?? I just don't no what I'm going to do if I don't start ovulating!

Yeah we are going to get a beagle, I spoke to a breeder last night and he has got a litter due in 3 weeks so we will be able to go and see them in 6 weeks then pick her up 4 weeks after that, so that's quite exciting, I should be off work then aswell after having the drilling so I can spend 2 weeks trying to toilet train her before we move, X

I know exactly how you feel, I have never ovulated on clomid, wish I had lol
Aww beagle's are lovely, we had a toss up between one of them and a spaniel, but the spaniel came up first, he is being treated like a baby lol maybe he is my surregate, so are you going to take clomid on your next period? xxx

No i dont think i am going to take it this month but i will check with my consultant on monday, Iv just had a look at ovarian drilling on you tube its gross! you should have a look, X

Got in contact with consultant who is going to phone my gp to tell him to prescribe provera for me woohoo thank goodness, cycles will still be about 42 days long but thats much better than 50 days
I dont think I can watch it lol I am a bit squeemish, when whill you know if you have to get the proceedure done? xx

There going to definetly book me in for it so i think im should be having it done around beginning of june, then when i come on after that i start clomid again with metfromin! so much to think about. XX

Had a look at that video, wish I hadn't lol
I thought metformin was only used for people with pcos who are insulin resitant, so many different meds, this ttc is a nightmare, wish it was as easy for us as it is for other women. So have you to get another scan done on Monday? My consultant wants bloods done up to cd 35 as on clomid there is an increased risk of late ovulation. Are your ovaries covered with cysts? sorry tell me to bog off if I am being too nosey just curious as mine didn't have any they were just slightly larger than they should be (whatever that means) Wow this is a long post lol xxx

Yeah iv got another scan on monday morning at 8.15, My consultant said i have over 20 cysts on each ovarie,

How come your consultant hasnt increased your does if you have never ovulated? x

Consultant said it is dangerous for someone with pcos to go higher, it's probably a cop out so he doesn't have to give me scans lol, I'm quite happy to stay on 100mg for a couple of months but if I don't ov on the next 2 cycles then I will be on at him to do something else. But I have to say he seems quite confident about 100mg so I'll see how it goes.

Whats your consultant looking for in this scan? xx

Claire Wee question what dosage of provera do you take? I have to take 2 10mg tabs for 5 days is that common? xxx

Sorry to hear yous are feeling down at the moment, its frustrating depending on a medication to help you ovulate but hopefully it will bring good results soon. Yes im expecting twins, started to feel movements this past week or two, looking forward to next scan as its been months since my last one. fingers crossed for you all. Take care

Feeling a bit more positive now, think I am up and down like a yo yo, have to stop stressing and I will get bfp. Keep checking in so we know how you are xx

Claire I started them last night so should e back on the clomid train next week, my prescription is 10mg provera but it says 2 tablets per day which would be the case if it was 5mg if i take 20mg per day thing I will have progesterone overload lol How are you feeling today? xxx

Im feeling good today, its mine and my boyfriends anniversary today so were going to go out for a nice meal tonight,

I spent most of the night last night looking up all different types of fertility treatment and it made me feel a bit more positive, When i have the ovarian drilling if that doesnt work i will then go on to injections that stilulate your ovaries and then you have to have a scan so the consultant can see if they are at the correct size to be released and if they are you have to have another injection to release it and finaly if that fails i want to have my partners sperm put straight into the egg, so lots to think about .XX

You haven't half been doing your homework, I haven't really thought by the clomid stage as of yet. I have decided that I am going to do my relaxation CD this month when I get stressed, as I have 2 weeks of school holidays coming up and don't want to mess up the chance of oving.
Congratulations on your anniversary how many years have you been together? Are you off our for a candle lit dinner then?

Hey girls just thought I would share this afternoons events with you

Had a nice relaxing bath, as DS was out with friends, was just watching the film ps.I love you, when he came barging in looking for grub and caught me blubbing at the film, you should have seen his face, he was so concerned until he realised I was crying at a film, so promptly told me to 'get over it' lol just thought i'd share as that made me smile xxxx

Me and my boyfriend have been together 4 years now,Your son sounds really sweet and it made me smile aswell,

Iv got some very interesting news.......
I went to my consultants appointment today so she could do my last scan and book a date for my operation and a flipping miracle has happened, IM OVULATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as soon as she started scanning me you saw it straight away so i have to go and have blood tests on tuesday to confirm it and if i have then i dont have to have the ovarian drilling! XX

Hey stac im on day 18, She said i should have a 32 day day cycle, The bloods are just the normal ones to check my lh levels,

Were not engaged or anything much to my dismay but there is no way im going to proposeso ill just have to wait

Did she say that maybe last month you may have ov'd later?
We talked about it first before we decided to go for it, so he proposed on crimbo eve, but I had picked my ring and he picked his he said I was too fussy for him to pick my ring for me and to be honest I was glad lol xx
