Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

1st child conceived naturaly after 1 yr of trying nothing had happened so prescribed clomid 50mg due to developing pcos.

Mc on my 1st cycle, changed to 100mg then on 4th cycle became pregnant Due end of July.

Clomid did give me strange side effects:
sickness
triedness
bloated feeling
head aches
depression
And near when my period was due i got pregnancy like systems, so was very upsetting every time i had to do a test and it was negitive.

But keep going with it, as long as you have lots of support it will work out. good luck to you and hope to hear soon when you are expecting xxx

Did you ovulate all the 4 months while taking clomid?

No, I only have ultrasounds to check follicle size and trigger then afterword I have to have blood work to check if ovulation has happened.

I have to have blood work 2-3x a month.

I have another appt next tuesday to go over everything and next steps.... I might try one more cycle of clomid and if it doesn't work I will move to a cycle of letrozole.

If that doesn't work she wants me to start IUI's.

sorry to ask again but how long have you been on clomid? Do you have any side effects?

I have been on meds for over a year.

first started at ob/gyn for a year and upped to 150mg. but then i was referred to a fertility specialist and she gave me 200mg. I have been on 200mg for 4 months and so far I had ovulated once on my own w/ clomid without trigger... which is good because I think I never ovulated... Lol.. meaning is working.... I will find out next friday if this cycle worked... Baby dust!!! Had my trigger shot last friday.

Yes, I have side affects... and bad ones sometimes.... this cycle was bad... I had nausea, vomiting, blury vision.

And then I take prometrium to get my menstrual cycle... (the 10day pill) and that gives me bad headaches almost everyday.....

Hi All,

Have been reading about your stories & it encourages me. Am new on the thread .I was diagonised with hyperprolatinemia and was precribed dostinex by my doc. I have been on dostinex for one month now and decided to take clomid along with it. This is my 5th day with clomid & no side effect.
Anyone with such experience,your candid advise will be highly appreciated.

hey claire... yea havent took clomid since january now will start bk on it when i get my procedure done... took my af yesturday it was supposed to be due on the 18th feb... weird i know... how strange our bodies work
hope ur keepin well chic...
must say i dont mind havin my break im alot more relaxed and chilled out jus keep thinkin positive.. i will get my little baby sum day

Have they said when there going to do the procedure yet? I bet it has been nice not having to worry about dates and blood tests and scans I can just imagine it being so nice, x

yea its lovely... dont know when ive 2 go in yet have 2 wait on gettin a letter frm the hospital... ill give it another week or 2 and if i dont hear anythin ill give the hospital a ring, i know i want a break frm clomid for a month or 2 but dont want to be of it any longer so wud hopefully want to start bk on clomid nxt month mif this procedure is done..

how r u keepin

is stac ok she hasnt been on in a while

Hi, I have just found out I am pregnant (just about 6 wks) after 5 months on clomid. Was beginning to really despair as it worked in the first month with my dd who is now 7. Still very nervous as is early days and still can't quite believe it but just wanted to let you know that it can work. Good Luck to anybody who is about to start or has been taking it for a while with no success as yet xx

Ano how u feel stac we r in the middle of buyin a house it wont b built until june but thankfully we have rented for about 2 years until the house prices droped so we have everythin we dont need 2 buy anythin jus my tiles n wallpaper...

wot cycle r u on on ur clomid?

Sorry I haven't been online recently but the comp is now back up and running. Will take me ages to go through all these posts so anychance of rundown as to how you all are??

Hi Girls! hope everybody is doing ok. I am very excited and terrified! tomorow i have my appointement with another specialist for a second opinion. Just hope he ll tell me to start directly on clomid. Besides i am on time for clomid 5-7. So finger crossed! Lots of babydust to all xxx
