Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

yea thats all i seem to think about but sayin that since i havent been takin my tablets ive learnt to let go and calm down a bit more... want a baby more than anythin but if takin a break means i can chill out and get a bit of my life bk again frm before i started tryin then so be it... so u all xcited then bout findin out whether u hav ovulated or not.... u had the pain in ur lower abdomin didnt u... thats how i knew i ovulated when i had that pain for a few days and i didnt get it last month so definately know i didnt ovulate...

I'm not letting myself get excited about anything, I'm just telling myself that it hasn't worked this month coz I don't want to be to dissapointed, I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks ( I should no if anything has happened by then) and were sat on a Table with 2 babies! Its going to be a nightmare, X

Hi girls!! hope everybody is ok. Just came back from my gynecologue appointement. It was supposed to prescribe clomid and i have been very excited about it. Unfortunately after reading my blood test result he came up upseting me very much. Indeed over a year ago when he diagnosed me with pcos he put me back on the pill for 6 months in order to be able to conceive afterward and now after been trying for the past 8 months with no result and a very bad blood result he want to put me back on the pill again. Indeed my androgene hormone are so high that if i start on clomid it s a garanty misscarriage. I started to cry!!!the last time i was on the pill for 6 months, and then stopped i was regular and able to ovulate for 3 months and then went irregular again. If i am waiting 6 months again and have like 3 months shot again to get pregnant and if it fail again it s gonna be the end of world for me. So i told him that i didn t want and that i was looking for another solution. It prescribe me a tablet called: fortecortin, which is suppose to get lower my male hormone level, i have to drop it from 150 that i am now to 50 before he ll be able to prescribe clomid. He doesn t know how long this can take. I am feeling so down,i have nothing to look foward for the next months..if anybody had a similar experience please help!!!!!! hoping to you all the best!

thank you for your support! i just been looking on internet and the medication i ve got is Dexamethasone. I ve seen that in combination with clomid it will reduce the androgen. So i really don t understand why he didn t prescribe me clomid. Most of the pcos are hyperandrogenist and that s the prescription they get. I am thinking to go for a second opinion. I just been wasting so much time waiting and trying that i have to be sure i am on the good road. I wish you to get a good news very soon!

I no this sounds really stupid but I need to ask, coz iv never had a natural period I don't no when I should be coming on, I ovulated last Sunday and I don't no when I should be expecting to come on? X

Today is day 2 for me. I?m not pregnant. I figured as much. This will be my last month on clomid, next month I won?t take anything. And after that I will go to a specialist. I hope that this is the month for you!

How long have you been on clomid for? you never no this month could be it for you and you will get what you want! Also i have heard of people that have come off it and still got pregnant coz it has like a roll on efffect with ovulating and stuff.

claire; if you ovulated last sunday then you should get your periods 14 days afterward. So hope you don t get them and you do the test on day 15!
today i am feeling really good, i got an appointement next week with the best specialist n town, so hope he s gonna come up with a different version and a brilliant solution! i just want at least to have the hope trying..

Hi Everyone,

Well i spoke to my consultant earlier and although i had a scan done nearly 2 weeks ago and she saw an egg about to be released i havent ovulated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She thinks im going to have to up my dosage to 150 next time but is going to confirm with me tomorrow
Im so dissapointed.

Hi Claire,

I though you ovulated last sunday!? did you use a monitor? did your consultant was able to tell you because of your blood test result? you have to keep your positive energy for this new month with a higher dosage you should get there. Keep up! xxx

Yeah I went in for a scan 2 weeks ago and my consultant said that she could see a good size follicle and that I should ovulate 2 days later but she phoned me today and said that bloods show that I didn't ovulate and she will rung me tomorrow to talk about taking it on different dates and increase it to 150mg, X

Hello All, My name is Karen.

I have been trying for over a year w/ clomid and TTC. just had my trigger shot friday and now waiting for the day to come to take test. I am currently on clomid 200mg days 3-7 and metformin and prometrium for menstraul cycle. I have been on the higher dose for 4months.

out of those only twice I have gotten my trigger shot.

I started clomid at lower doses a year ago and I never had any.

Does anyone here have any success stories..

The trigger shot is a shot of HCG that mimicks LH in the body -LH is the hormone that makes your body ovulate.

I had asked my nurse how accurate is it and she said it is very accurate.

Is it an injection then? I'm starting my 3rd round of clomid soon on 150mg coz I havent ovulated the past 2 months so do you think I could take that aswell? Have you ovulated on clomid?

well for the year I have been on clomid I never ovulated on my own. for the last 3 cycles I have ovulated one on my own which I was really happy to hear because I have never ovulated so it was a great step. But we missed it because we stop doing tests and didn't follow up with u/s because my follicles weren't growing after 3 rounds of ultrasounds.

But these cycle has been very different then all of the others I took 200mg of clomid and on my first ultrasound I have a folli 18mm and received trigger shot I usually have like 3 ultrasounds each cycle because or irregular periods I had asked my nurse how accurate is the trigger shot and she said it is very accurate and ovulation accurs.

Also I have been diagnosed with PCOS and I am taking 2000mg of metformin.

I can imagine how you feel but it takes time and hopefully you doctor will increase to 200mg of clomid.

Are you seeing a fertility specialist or OBG/YN and are they doing ultrasounds to see how big your follis are getting after 11days of clomid.

Have you had your Hysterosalpingogram xray.

I had my hsg 2 months ago and I had an MRI done a month ago,

I had a scan 2 weeks ago and my consultant said there was a small follicle that she thought was going to be released but she phoned me today and after seeing my blood test results said that I didn't ovulate but she is ringing me tomorrow so I might ask to try the trigger shots,

What day do you have to take it? Is it only 1 shot per moth you have to take? X

I just spoke to my consultant again and she said to up my dose to 150mg and iv got to go in for 3 scans next month and moreblood tests, i also asked about tyrigger shots and she said i should start those the month after. X

just because my consultant saw a follicle there but i didnt ovulate, having scans is normal when tou up your dose and really good at telling you exactly when you are ovulating,

Have you never had a scan? X
