Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

probably best not to then, think I am just scared of something going wrong after I get BFP. You seem more positive since you appointment, I cant wait to get my bloods done on CD 21 to see if I ov'd wish it was a scan I was getting lol

oh yea im lucky if i get a period mayb 4 times a year but since i had clomid my periods have been regular, dont know wots happenin... god knows wots goin on inside this body

Hi Lauren, that may be what they are presuming mine will do after I have been taking it a while as the doc only gave me one lot of progesterone but 3 lots of clomid, I didn't realise it can help regulate you too. How are you feeling? My cramps are so bad and my pmt is dire this month lol xx

I don?t have a thyroid problem... I was asking you if your thyroid is taken care of. Baby aspirin improves uterine blood flow and enhance embryo implantation. I wasn?t on yesterday because I couldn?t find an internet connection... I was so mad!

You can use OPKs if you take clomid... You are suppose to wait 3 days after taking your last pill, and then start taking them. Good luck!!!

Sorry I haven?t wasn?t able to get on yesterday... And today I am watching my best friends children over night at my house. (Madyson 2yrs & Cadyen 7 months). They are such great kids! So I have been busy running after them, I put them to bed and then cooked dinner for my husband. Now I finally have free time for me! I was thinking of you ladies!!! Today is cycle day 20 for me!!! I?m almost there... I really think that this could be the month!

Sorry I must have read that post wrong. I am currently on medication for it but I am supposed to get it checked every 3-6 months and because of all the test I have had recently I presumed it had been checked but it hasn't been checked since March last year, it also affects conception so I have to make sure it is sorted.

Claire Did I ask if you side effects were worse on 100mg, I start mine tonight. Also do you have to take provera to induce every period and if so how do you work it out so your cycle is 4 weekly instead of 6 weekly?

Lauren Are you going to speak to your consultant today about your missing af and the treatment you need? Let us know how you get on

Hi stac,

I dont think the side effects were any worse, i just felt sooooooo depressed and would cry at anything, I didnt get any headaches or stomach aches, No i only took the provera the first month so i could start clomid and this month i took it so i new there wasnt any chance i was pregnant (yeah right like that would have happened) before having my MRI. i probably didnt take it at the right time last month, I had to take it earlie to have the scan so i only had a 25 day cycle, It will be interesting to see how long my cycle is this month as iv never come on naturally before, X

Think by the looks of things it will be a 6 week cycle for me as I think they expect you to wait till your due on to take the progesterone, but I will phone the consultant on Monday, just trying to get an idea of how everyone else is working it. Lauren said when she started clomid she was coming on naturally so hopefully that will kick start it, or even better I could just get pregnant and not have to worry about it at all . What you up to today?

Stuck in boring work, What about you?

My consultant said that i didnt need to wait till i was due on so that was helpfull and go everything out of the way that i needed to do, Is this your 2nd round of clomid or 3rd?

I asked my consultant yesterday what would happen if after 6 months i still wasnt pregnant and she said that i can stay on it for 12 months so at least i wont have to panic that time is running out, Caould you imagine how good it would be if we both fell pregnant this month, X

So will you take the provera the week before you are due on? Then if your pregnant you wont take a period anyway, I must check with the consultant but then maybe this month I will just wait to see if I come on myself as I was quite crampy last time but I took the norethisterone and that would stop af coming, they give women progesterone to delay periods if they are going on hols or something. I am at home just now catching up on my workbooks, so cant be bothered lol. It would be fab if we got bpf this month then we could keep in touch through pregnancies and of course, brandy and lauren, nice wee group we have going lol

It was probably about 10 days before i was actually due on coz i took the tablets for 6 days and then usually come on 3 or 4 days after. Have you got anything planned for the weekend? X

Wo will you do the same again this month or are you going to wait and see if it happens naturally, but hopefully not at all

Think I am having a quiet on this weekend as we are going to a party next week and I am going to see The Killers next Friday night so quite busy, thats when I am oving so need to lots of bding too lol what about you? you doing anything?

Im not going to take it this month just going to let my body have a break from it and come on naturaly, im going up to see my grandad again tomorrow, he is still in hospital and then im going to have reflexology in the afternoon as i hopefully will be ovulating ,X

He did get quite bad and we didnt think he was going to make it but he has improved a bit now, He is still in intensive care and cant speak coz he has got tubes down his throte but he can move now so he can write things down, no i couldnt find it think i must have been doing something wrong. X

Glad to hear he is getting better, it must be very stressful for you all.
Did it give you the dates you were expecting? I should be ov'ing between 8th & 13th but to start bding every 1-2 days from 6th, cant believe we are having to use a schedule for bding lol it will be worth it in the long run

Yeah it said i should be ovulating between 26/02-03/03 which is correct as my consultant said i should over the weekend at some point so i am not letting my boyfriend out of the bedroom till monday, Ha ha, X

lol bet he wont be complaining, they never do at that part. At least the site is quite acurate then. I will be the same next weekend. Its quite a good site, saves money on opk's and because of the pcos they are no good to me anyway XX

That?s okay hun... Sometimes I?m reading everyone?s updates so fast that I get mixed up as well. My mother has a thyroid problem and she was put on medication and she then was able to have 4 kids. So I know that you will have your day!!! I had worse side-effects on the 50mg dosage than the 100mg dose! The first month on 100mg I experienced dizziness and hot flashes, that second month (this month) I had light-headedness, dizzy, and ovary pains... The side-effects occurred on cycle days 4, 5, and 6 only. The 50mg was so horrible!!! I was vomiting everyday, sweating, crying, and the list goes on! I don?t know why The lower dose was worse than the higher dose. The only thing I can think of is that by the time I took the 100mg dose my body was use to the medication. I hope it works for you!

It was so nice watching my best friend's kids... and having them overnight. I put Cayden (7 months) to bed at 8:30pm. In the morning at 8am he woke up... And when I rolled over and saw him, he looked up at me with his big blue eyes and huge smile! It melted my heart!!!!! There is a part of me that thinks ?I can?t wait to get pregnant and start a family? but, I know that it will be worth however long the wait will be! For now I will just have to put hope and time into it.

How are you? did you have a nice weekend? It was quiet here. Have took my clomid and dont feel bad at all, a bit shaky yesterday but think thats because I had cramp and its really heavy this month.
Some friends have had a baby so we have to go visit next week but I am looking forward to it, means I can get a wee cuddle, it's a wee girl so cute lol

Today is my husband 31st birthday. So I?m on here in the morning instead of my night time routine. I cleaned the house and relaxed this weekend. Today is day 23 for me... Yesterday when I woke up I threw up! I don?t know what that means.

Thats great hop you have kept your man in the room lol. I'm good in a lot of pain and heavy bleeding but I feel fine with regards to the clomid now I am back to wishing my days away lol. How was your weekend? xxx
