Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

Hey Claire I don't take pregnacare but I do take folic acid religously, have done since last January as doc told me to prepare my body before we started trying. A friend of ours had a baby with spina bifda wee soul died at 6 weeks old, it was devastating, so I knew taking it is necessity. Are you nervous about your scan tomorrow?

Brandbaby My Gp gave me clomid the first month (January) but advised me to take progesterone to induce period then take clomid immediately after the progesterone was finished which completely contradicted anything I had read about it but I thought it was better to go with what he had told e, needless to say I didn't ovulate, so this will be my first month of 100mg days 2-6, I had never thought about changing the days until I saw your posts. I am also a member of a website called Daily Strength which is based in the states, it is very informative it may be worth a look.

Thats so sad for your friend,i really couldnt imagine anything worse than loosing a baby, i do take it but i always forget for a few days so i really need to start taking it properly,

Yeah i am a bit nervous, i just really hope my womb isnt bicornute, i could do with at least 1 thing going for me

hey claire how r u, a girl i worked with took pregnacare although she was pregnant but she swore by it..

hi stac... yea it was hard as it was wot me n my bf had wanted for such a long time and after all the tests we had went through to start clomid it was a shock 2 discover i was pregnant... but my mum had a few miscarriages so mayb it jus runs in the family im not sure...

my consultant never mentioned to me about takin 100mg, so i jus thought since each time on 50mg i ovulate thats she jus kept me on it...
i dont have to see my consultant again until june when all my cycles of clomid r finished so i must ask her about it...
do u have any kids or r u tryin for ur first?

How late are you coming on, having a bit of a down day today, a girl I work with has just told us she is pregnant and has been hiding it for a while with loose clothing and stuff and came in today not hiding it and you can really see her bump, just got me thinking why can't it just be me

if im quite honest i het quite envious of people who r pregnant not because im not happy for them but because its all ive ever wanted..
was due yesturday but last month i was 2 days early so im not gettin my hopes up..
have to go 4 a colposcopy on tuesday so i wud rather it stayed away until after then if it turns out im jus late...
it will happen to u sn claire i think we r all jus gettin 2 stressed out and wantin it 2 much...

have you had a colonoscopy done before? I'm 24 how old are you? No I haven't got any children, have you? Its just so annoying that we can't fall pregnant, I just really want to see that positive pregnant test and feel the joy that everyone else does, so sad rnt I. X

yea claire ive had 2 colposcopys before cos ive never had a normal smear... im 23 and hav no kids... had a miscarriage last year though and when i seen that positive pregnancy tst it was the best thing that had ever happened to me i was on top of the world.... u think its goin to be easy to get pregnant but for the likes of us people its not... its great to hav this site im so glad i found it speakin to people who r goin through the same thing as i dont hav any friends who hav had these difficulties and they dont really understand and think that its not an issue or a problem but it is to me.

It was heartbreaking for my friend, I dont know how she manages it not even been a year yet. Did you read up about bicornute wombs? I totally understand how you feel about your work colleague, my cousin has been seeing his latest woman for under a year and she is pregnant, if that wasnt bad enough he has anothe little girl and left his ex while she was pregnant, right now i just cant bear to talk to him, more so because of how irresponsible he is.

sorry to sound ignorant but what is a colposcopy? and what does it check for? I have only had an internal scan which showed I suffer from pcos but nothing else. Its very hard not to get hoes up when af s late, but your doing the right thing trying to lessen disappointment if it does come, but my fingers are crossed that it doesn't

I think because we all know how hard it is to conceive we appreciate it more, even though I have a son who is 9 I want more than anything to be a mother again. The feelings are amazing. I was a silly wee girl when I had him (only 19) and suffered from post natal depression so I feel I missed out on a lot of his younger years as I was ill, so this all seems brand new again.

The hope is out there ladies we just need to remember it will happen for us, (get me getting all soppy, must be the progesterone lol)

I will check that website out. Do you take progesterone cream? I hope that this will be the month for you! My mother told me that because I had to wait to get pregnant and has taken so long... That I will appreciate my child so much more and be more grateful. Which I do see what my mother was trying to say to me... But I?m just afraid that I won?t ever be able to become a mother.

I ovulated before I even took clomid. I was given 4 months of 50mg, then 4 months of 100mg. If it does work this month I will be taking 2 month supply at once, so I will be taking 200mg. I think you should go up to 100mg... 50mg is very low dose, and you might get better results with a little higher of a dose. I am 24 years old. This is my 14th cycle trying. What about you? I have to ask... Do you take baby aspirin (81mg)? That will help with the whole miscarriage thing. I understand what you mean when other women can get pregnant and it?s so hard for us ladies on here! So many of my close girlfriends have gotten pregnant so easily!!! And some didn?t even want children!

I know how you feel. It will happen hun... And you will be blessed. We are both 24 years old, and we both are trying top get pregnant with our first child! Were you and birth control pills before you started trying? How long have you been trying for?

hi brandybabe, yeah I was on the pill for nearly 10 years coz I had quite bad skin when I was about 14, we've been trying for nearly 1 year now, what about you? X

I haven't got progesterone cream, whats that for? I have the docs on Tuesday so I could ask for it then. I asked you on the other thread about vitex and was wondering if it helps you with the side effects of the clomid? And what does baby aspirin help with? Sorry for so many questions but you seem to have done loads of research. xxx

because i have abnormal smears at the doctors i was refered to the hospital gynae clinic so as they could get an indepth look at my cervix with a microscope... its nothin to do wif me bein on clomid or anythin its just my abnormal smears.. so next week because ive already had 2 colposcopys and they still cum bk abnormal i hav to have the cells on my cervix burnt or scraped its jus really so u know u dont have cervical cancer or anythin...
one of my friends had postnatal depression and she always says she feels like she missed out on her childs first year which must be hard...

im due to start my 4th cycle here but my af was due on wed n still hasnt came... but io was gona have a break of clomid this month anyway....ive never took baby asprin wot does that do?

My mum had that too, I didn't realise thats what it was called, I can be so dizzy sometimes lol. The post natal depression is hard, I have some video camera footage of Jack as a baby that when I look at it, I am in floods of tears because I can't remember it happening, think thats another reason why I was so scared to try again, but now I cant seem to imagine life without a new baby.

How have you managed not to test since you are 2 days late? You have such good will power. Are you defo taking the month off the clomid if af does arrive?

Is it the Ann Summers Party tonight? xx

I was on birth control pills for 6 years. I have been off of BCPs for 18 months. We waited 6 months before we started to try. Then we were ttc for 7 months. Then I did 4 months of 50mgon days 5-9, one month off, last month I did 100mg on days 3-7, and this month 100mg on days 1-5. I wish it didn?t take so long to become pregnant!

The result is a shift in the ratio of estrogen to progesterone, in favor of progesterone. The ability of chaste tree berry to raise progesterone levels in the body is an indirect effect, so the herb itself is not a hormone.
Lack of menstruation (amenorrhea) that is caused by a lack of ovulation, and therefore a lack of progesterone production, should result in menses when progesterone is taken. --Progesterone-induced menses indicates an intact reproductive system that just isn't going through its cycle.

no havent tested yet ill wait until sunday after my anns summers party, anns summers party is 2moro nite cant wait... just keep thinkin mayb i just didnt ovulate this month isnt that why u wouldnt get period also. yea definately still takin the month off if i get my af ( wots that mean by the way i see all u's usin it so take its for ur monthly cycle lol)
it is hard like girls isnt it i dream of holding my little baby in my arms sumtime

Haven't really been up to much today, just the normal tidying the house and car, the MRI was terrible, it was the most terrifying thing ever, I was on the machine for nearly 1 hour and had to lay completly still and it is so noisy you can't even hear yourself hum! What have you been up to? X

anns summers party was great really good nite... did a tst before the party so as i wud know if i cud drink r not but it was negative...not sure if its too early i really dont know or mayb i jus didnt ovulate this month gona hav 2 ring my consultant as this has never happened to me frm ive been takin clomid...
not sure wot to do girls.. do u reakon its too early for testing?
