Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

does the provera raise your progesterone levels? I thought it was the same as norethisterone which is what I am taking to bring me on. How long do you have to take provera for before you menstrate? xxx

hi stac, no provera brings you on as well, you have to take 1 tablet a day for 7 days and you should come on about 4 days after you finish taking them, X

its weird how everyone gets different tablets the only one we all seem to have in common is the clomid lol. The norethisterone is a 10 day course then period between 2-4 days later hate all this waiting about. Does that mean you go straight onto your next round of clomid when you take your period? soz for all the questions just cos its different from what I am on. xxx

Yes it is prescribed. My husband and I ttc naturally on our own for 7 months. Then my doctor prescribed clomid 50mg for 4 months, then she higher the dose to 100mg. I got testes and had blood work done and everything came back perfectly fine and normal. My husband had his sperm count and mobility checked out as well, and everything is normal and all good with him as well. My doctor said that I just might need a little extra help.

soz for asking loads of questions just curious.

I'm not on a cycle day at all yet as I have to take norethisterone to induce menstration so I suppose I am pre cycle day 12 as it will be about 12 days before I get AF

hi stac, yeah I should come on on Wednesday or Thursday and then depending what day I do come on I will start the clomid on Thursday or Friday, x

Today is day 7 of my cycle. What days will you take clomid? Hope you get ur period soon!

I took clomid on days 1-5 this month.

I have to take it days 2-6 this is my first month at 100mg, what dose did you start on? was your side effects any worse when you increased the dosage? did you have a nice valentines day?

Claire, how was your valentines day did you get spoilt? I just had a take away and a quiet night with DP who is now asleep on the couch lol, unusual for us not to have the kids at the weekend so took full advantage lol.

Lauren, how are you? not heard from you in a couple of days, is everything ok? how was your valentines day?

period due this wednesday so prayin it doesnt cum... valentines was good we didnt go out jus had a cosy nite in... how was ur valentines...

We had a quiet night in too. Not started 100mg yet as have to take progesterone to induce period. Have another 6 days of it to take lol.

When I was on 50mg of clomid? my only side effect was vomiting at least once a day... I don?t know why. When I started taking 100mg? I experienced light-headedness (day 4), blurred vision (day 4), extreme ovary pain (day 5 & 6), very tired (day 7).

What side effects did you experience? May I ask? why did you say you had to take it on days 2-6? Are those the days your doctor told you to take it? Have you ever tried another dosage and different days? Did you get your period yet? How many months have you been on clomid?

I really hope that taking clomid on days 1-5 will do the trick! I only have two month supply left of the clomid. I just pray that I get a miracle before then. Because the next step for me if a fertility specialized. My health insurance doesn?t pay for any fertility treatment... so my husband and I will have to pay out of pocket. I pray for baby dust for all of us ladies on here? and the sooner the better!!! 

Happy valentines to you as well! My husband had to work until 9pm last nite? but we went out after for appitizers and for a glass of wine. Last night started us bding every other night for the next 10 days. The wine helps!!!

I only had clomid 50mg for 1 cycle but as they didnt know if I had ov'd they increased it to 100mg so this is my 2nd month on clomid. On the 50mg I had hot flushes and mood swings but I think that was due to taking progesterone to induce bleed. First time I took clomid the doc told me to take it as soon as I stopped the progesterone, so I hadn't bled at all by the time I was finished the clomid, think my GP messed that up. Different specialist tell you to take it on different days, mine says days 2 to 6 are best, I just hope she is right. Because of the progesterone it will be about another week before I take my period so I cant start clomid till then, just want to get started lol.

Why does the wine help with bding? Is this something I should try? Haqve you been getting scans and bloods to make sure your ov'd? xxx

Do you use Ovulation predictor kits? I use them every month. They help me out. Before I took clomid I was ovulating each month on day 12. When I took clomid 50mg on day 5-9 I ovulated on day 13. Then when my dose went up to 100mg on days 3-7 I ovulated on day 14 & 15. So Without those kits I wont know what days it would be happening. I have a question... Are you taking Progesterone cream?

I dont use opk kits, my gp does bloods on day 21, 28 and 35 so theres no need for me use them, I just get bfing using a clomid ov calculator I found online. You put the date you took the clomid on and it shows your 5 day period for ovulating.
I don't have progesterone cream, whats that for? The progesterone I get is taken orally.

So u should be on ur nxt dos of clomid next week... thats gd... theres so m uch assing about.
im from bangor in northern ireland... havin an anns summers party this weekend so looking forward to that then headin out for a gd nite out, well depending if my period cums u up to anythin this weekend
meant to ask u stac do u get ur bloods done on every dose of clomid u take or is it for the first few doses... i got a scan on doses 1 and 2 and have just been left 2 it now but it reassured me seein the eggs when i had a scan jus wish i was still gettin it or sumthin else to let me def know that im ovulating.

i have been on clomid 3 months now and ovulated the first 2 times as i was sent for a scan but this time they jus left me 2 it so im hopin i ovulated the same as last time nd jus hav a bit of luck.. due my af this wednesday... i hear about all the girls on here gettin there dose up't to 100 mg and im not sure if i should make an appointment to go and c my consultant to see about 100mg although im not sure if they only put ur dose up to 100mg if u jus didnt ovulate on 50mg... have u started ur second dose yet... ,mayb if it doesnt worksecond time round then they will up ur dose.. hopefully u do though... wot days r u takin clomid.

I should hopefully come on this wednesday or thursaday,Iv got an MRI scan on friday to see the shape of my womb coz they think it might be bicornute, I think they will only up the dose if you dont ovulate the first month taking it. X

They will do my bloods every cycle as I didnt ov on the 50mg, but I am not being scanned at all, as you say so much assing about lol. Not made plans for the weekend yet, got v drunk with friends on friday last week as I knew I wasnt pg, have to have funs sometimes eh lol. Ann Summers parties are a good laugh, I had one not that long ago, my mate chris is gay so was allowed to come, but he dressed as a woman lol and took great pleasure in wearing all the outfits, let us know how your night goes xxx

I was upped straight away as they dont think I ov'd last month so I start 100mg next week when my af comes, your consultant will prob do the same thing, it's pointless you taking the 50mg if its not making you do what it should. You'll be glad to get Friday over and done with. Do you get moody on the provera? Like PMT?

Hi stac,

No i havent had any side effects taking the provera at all,i found out that the month before taking clomid my ovulation levels were 1.2 and this month it was only 2 so i hardly done anything for me.X

mines were below 1 the month befoe clomid and when I was on it so think we are definately candidates for having increased doses of clomid lol, I got the 100mg the other week so fingers are crossed that the 100mg works. I am trying to do my assessmen for uni but heads not in it lol what you up to today? xx
