Clomid success stories please

Hi

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I know i am in the wrong thread but didn't get a response on ttc thread. As hopefully you are all here.

I'm not sure yet, depends on how he is feeling, at the moment he is being a typical man and hanging like a bag lol

I'm just sitting on this torturing myself with information about pcos. Think I should stop cos its not half scary lol. I just want to get to the consultant so he can explain exactly what needs to be done to get pregnant, I should have seen him before xmas but there was a mix up with my appointment, how long have you been seeing the consultant?

well mine all came round by accident really, about 6 months ago I went to the doctor with bad stomach ache and they thought it was an eptopic pregnancy ( at this point they didn't no that anything was wrong with me down there but I had been ttc for nearly 6 months already) so I was in and out if hospital for a about a month and they said they would do a laparoscopy on me and when they did they said I had pcos and endometrosis. At the time they didn't say anything about it effecting my fertility, I had an appointment with my surgical consultant about 4 months ago and she said about me also having a bicornuit womb so she was going to pass me over to a fertility consultant, I first saw her about 2 months ago I think and she put me straight on the clomid. X

my gp put me on the clomid and only agreed to send me to the gynecologist because I havent had a period since I came off the pill in April, I was convinced there was something wrong as my periods were always as regular as clockwork on and off the pill but this time I didnt have anything at all so he agreed with me and they started giving me blood tests which showed I wasnt ovulating and had low lh levels so all in all its been a nightmare, just glad they know whats going on so I can get it sorted xx

At least they no that your only not ovulating which in a way is good because that is what clomid is made for to hopefully with a couple of months of taking it you should be sorted and be telling us some good news. X

i hope we are both telling some good news, did they lazer your endometriosis? my sister-in-law had that done, just to relieve the pain, she didnt want kids.
its good to have this thread because you cant talk about this stuff with people who understand what your going through and not just feeling sorry for us X

yeah they burned off the endometrosis and drained the cysts, it is really good coz my partner doesn't understand what I'm going through at all and is so unsympathetic so that just makes mr more wound up and I hate talking to other people coz they don't no what it feels like and I just feel like screaming at them. X

you also worry that you are becoming boring about it, i dont even talk to my oldest friends about it, and its only recently dp worked out how important all the dates and info were, although he has always been supportive he just assumed it would happen without any effort. X

Nothing to report yet,Im just coming up to ovulation so i have said we have got to have sex every other night for 10 nights! just so we dont miss it coz i never no when i am going to be ovulate coz my cycle is always different. x

I'm sure your DP will love that, think thats the bit they least complain about lol we have been doing the same thing since last friday and now I'm getting a bit fed up with it lol but it will be worthit in the end. Hows the weather were you are? My DS got sent home from school today and its going to get worse. XXX

so much snow here, it stopped about an hour ago but they said its going to snow again through the night, most of the schools here didn't even open,

hey stac im ovulatin this week so fingers crossed... not know anythin till around the 20th feb but not gettin stressed out about it anymore cos that doesnt help... jus gettin on wif life as normal...
how are you gettin on... u are only on ur first round of clomid is that rite...
wot about the side affects have you had any yet? the hotflushes i get are awful... now i know how my mum feels lol.

My docs take ages with blood test and then make a fuss about giving you the results, nightmare. Think DP has to phone docs 2m so may just ask while he is on the phone. Ds is hoping school is closed 2m, he is moaning just in case he has to go in lol

This is my first round of clomid, had hot flushes and was quite moody but think I got off quite lightly compared to some of the side effects I have read about. I'm the same as you, trying not to get stress or obssess about results, I have my first appointment with the gynecologist a week today so just focusing on that.

Iv gotto have my bloods done on day 21 will that be day 21 of taking clomid on 21 from the first day of my period. i dont no. X

It was day 21 of taking my period but if your unsure check with your doc. I am waiting for the doc to call back with my blood results, keep your fingers crossed for me. I would like to say I'm not that bothered because I am going to see the gynacologist on Monday but I dont want it to have been a wasted month, this is so frustrating. So is it this week for your bloods then? xx

hi stac, I'm really sorry you didn't ovulate, in sure you will next month, they might up your dosage for next month, at least your seeing your gyno on Monday, taking thus stuff is horrible isn't it, its so much pressure, chin up and remember it will happen we just have to try and be patient, I no its really hard. X X

I'm just feeling a bit fed up I got my bloods done on CD17 so think it may have been a bit early for a proper result but of course I forgot to ask the doc when I was on the phone. I am going write a list of stuff to ask the gyne on Monday. Probably clutching at straws but its hard not to.

I always go with a list, if I remember something during the month i just write it down coz you always end up forgetting something, I'm feeling alright bit like you just desperate for somthing to happen, X

I will sit down tonight with DP after DS goes to bed and write a list of things we want to find out so the gynecologist can help us. I suppose I am just disheartened cos I at least expected to ovulate, its just disappointing, anyway enough of my moaning, glad to hear your well, up to anything at the weekend? xx

hey stac sorry 2 hear u didnt ovulate, if it doesnt happen next time then they will more than likely put ur dose up 2 100mg of clomid and that shud def make u ovulate xx jus stay positive

Thanks for being so supportive girls. Just hoping I get a bfp as soon as, not getting any younger, although it is giving me more time to loose more weight before I'm pg, crap side effect of the pcos XXX
