After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.
thanks with the biggest lump in my throat xx

Californiafrau I love your post, it made me laugh yet it doesn't seem odd at all does it?! I love that about Mumsnet. I'm sure Little Bean is waving goodnight to you all now StrawberryMoon, tucked up safe and protected and surrounded by all this love. You are an amazing and generous bunch of mums.

What a beautiful thread. MM, you are a lovely sister for posting this for them, Little Bean is going to love his/her aunty! I'm sure you'll do this anyway but I was just thinking what an amazing present a print out of this thread will make for Lttle Bean when s/he is older...to know that so many mums all over the world were praying for him/her to make ...just right for when they have their 'everyone hates me' teenager stage!

StrawberryMoon · 11/09/2006 09:31

Having been through IVF myself, I can imagine just how excited and terrifed they are. Keeping my fingers crossed for little bean, even though the riskiest time is past.

StrawberryMoon · 14/09/2006 14:09

hi bump

melbournemum · 14/09/2006 23:58

morning everyone
More Gorgeous Bean news today. I received this message from my sil:
'All is well with the latest scan. It looked like it was sitting down swinging its legs. We are so in love already'

Stawberrymoon I love your good mornings, I know he/she can hear them too. Scaryboobs thanks for the lovely idea to print it all off, will it just be a matter of pressing print??? Also, a possibily silly question, but is there a time limit on threads? This won't disappear one day will it because its been going too long or anything like that??
I feel so positive and warm and happy every time I come on here knowing there is so much love out there for little Bean. Thank you as ever to everyone who is posting and sending prayers, 14 weeks and counting!
xxx
