After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.
thanks with the biggest lump in my throat xx

nearly 8 weeks and 'little bean' still seems to be doing well! sil has mild cramps but has had them ever since the ivf cycle. I remember having cramps on and off during both my pregnancies, its quite normal isn't it? unless they are severe?

lovely news . Hopefully it's a positive sign seeing the heartbeat (as we had been told following mc's) and 9 weeks is a good stage for bean to get to. Heres to the next 31 weeks..

CorrieDale · 03/08/2006 13:42

shhhh · 17/08/2006 11:24

any news..??

hunkermunker · 17/08/2006 11:27

I have tears in my eyes reading this thread - thinking of them and hoping this much-wanted baby hangs on - sounds promising so far. I had scans at the same time as these with DS1 - miraculous to see the heartbeat flashing away in something so tiny!

melbournemum · 31/08/2006 10:44

I am sooooooooo excited and delighted to report that today Little Bean reached the 12 weeks milestone that finally allowed my db and sil to exhale. They have a dvd scan of their precious little baby moving around and waving his/her tiny arms. They've come so far from that first tiny fluttering heartbeat and we are all just beside ourselves for them. They sound elated and cautious all at once. There's a long way to go we know but this is the best possible start. The risks for everything were very low on the stats so they are not going to have an amnio.

Thank you for checking back in and for keeping the love going for little Bean. As always, I am so touched by your kindness, sentiments and positive thoughts for them, please keep them coming. I can't wait for the day when I can post a birth notice on here for them! Will keep you all posted.
