Pray that this little one hangs on!!

After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.

My sister is getting married next weekend... they live in Melb but are marrying in Sydney. Would soooo love to be there, but it's just the wrong time of year for us - our business is very new, very seasonal and summer is just starting. So blow them some kisses downunder for me

Just a little update and lastest photo (taken yesterday and now on my profile) of our little Miss Neve Bean and her lovely mummy and daddy.
They are doing brilliantly, she is heavenly, so sweet and settled and beautiful with enormous gorgeous blue eyes and her shock of black hair. Just divine.
It was so gorgeous to see them, they were visiting Melbourne for the weekend and have NeveBean be completely adored by her cousins.
Lots of love to you all and thinking of you all so often. Its almost a year since that very first post, being here posting this picture was just a dream then - what a happy ending!

How's LittleNeveBean doing?

LittleNeveBean is doing just beautifully. We all went up to Sydney last weekend for her Christening, it was so special.
My sisters and I are her GodMother's (the God-Aunties as my dbrother and dsil have termed us!)
We were so touched to be asked and it just makes an already very precious little person just that more special to us, if that was possible!
I'll just post some pics in my profile now.

You are all so often in my thoughts, always fondly and always creating a gorgeous warm glow

Still makes me happy to think about this story and to look at pictures of such a happy family. Both parents and baby are blessed more than words can convey.

(Donnylass if I had your gift for words I'd try and a poem of joy just now but I might leave that to you!!)

BUT I have the very very best of news to share.....

After so many years and countless heartbreaks before my db and dsil had their beautiful Neve last year, their first round of IVF since her birth has resulted in a perfect, strong, wonderful 7 week old heart-beat that will be their much dreamt of and barely dared to hope for, 2nd child. We are delighted beyond words for them and pray, again, that this little one hangs on to meet his/her big sister sometime around November.

MM, I so remember the excitment of waiting for Nevebean, and how we were all so overjoyed at her arrival. Here is wishing Kate, Tony and Neve good luck with their pregnancy of NewLittleBean. How is Kate going on with NLB's pregnancy is she 13 weeks now?

I am pregnant with my second too and it sounds as though we're at the same weeks! I thought about Neve a lot recently ... partly because I've been anxious about this pregnancy (no real reason) and your start line of 'pray this little one hangs on' resonates.
