Pray that this little one hangs on!!

After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.

Little Bean is doing well and everyone is feeling very happy. I spoke to db last night and he was sounding very positive. They will have a scan on Thursday and then two weeks after will have the the 20 week scan. Almost halfway!!
Little Bean is waving goodnight to you (probably blowing you a little kiss too I imagine..)

Evening all, scan went beautifully. Db called last night. They are sounding so optimistic now. My sil said she just can't wait and wishes it was February now! We are all so excited. Moving into the 2nd half of Bigger Little Bean's journey into the world, I know all your prayers and positive thoughts will keep him/her going strong.

Precious cargo! Great news ... almost half way there ... and then zoooooom February will come so quickly.

It would be so great if after the 20 week mark the whole family can enjoy the pregnancy. They are bound to continue to be on tenterhooks ...but let's think of postitive things we can pass on to help them love the journey x

Wow, congratulations mm and family, that's such lovely news! SIL might even start feeling movements soon! And it's only a few short months now until Little Bean/Bigger Bean/appropriately-sized-fruit nickname makes their eagerly-anticipated arrival!! I found that up to 12 weeks were longest of my life, but 20+ absolutely fled - tell SIL to try to make the most of being pregnant now...lots of eating, shopping, daydreaming, bump-rubbing, name-choosing and general pregnant delights to be enjoyed! Ahh, I'm going to go to bed feeling all happy now that so many people are sharing your family's wonderful news! I LOVE this thread, it helps to remind me to make the most of my own 2nd pregnancy and never to take this amazing privilege for granted. Sweet dreams mn's!! x x

The sun is shining here and life feels wonderful. Somehow our entire family feels complete now that db and sil are having Bigger Litte Bean, my two sisters and I have 9 beautiful children between us and we've been praying for this little one for so long...
