After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.
thanks with the biggest lump in my throat xx

Just sent the post of Neve-Florence Bean's announcement to MNHQ qith the following message ...

Hi MNHQ ... dunno if you know about this thread but it has been going for months and is just the most wonderful story and sums up just what an amazing global network MUMSNET is. In the light of curent legal stuff I hope this thread can be used to exemplify the life-support that IS Mumsnet. Also ... can this be the post of the week, we have been waiting for this announcement for so long. It is a wonderful story and has moved so many.

Saturn74 · 10/03/2007 14:01

Ta ... just so lovely.

I think this Little Bean and this thread is one of those inspirational 'the world is really a nice place' things ... brings out the best in people.

[happy sighs ...]

Thinking about the whole family together ... well, its what I call 'Rainbow Moments' ... when you smile and cry at the same time.

Thank you Rainbow Baby Bean for making so many people so happy today.

Special little love.

Hi all,

I have been watching this post over the past 3 months or so and for some reason hadn't posted... But was hoping and praying with all my heart that everything would go well. I am overwhelmed at the news of Baby Neve's arrival, it is such a perfectly fitting end (or beginning) to this heartrending story, her parents deserve her and the happiness she brings more than anything in the world. I'm sure she will light up their lives as she has already done for so many of us Mumsnet readers. My DS was born 10 weeks prematurely and I find after that I no longer 'expect' everything in life to go smoothly, so it was with baited breath that I read this thread, and am just so relieved that it has had such a fitting result- the birth of a healthy and much loved little girl.

Congratulations to her family and long may your happiness last. Enjoy your precious little one and showing her the many wonderful things about this world.

Huge hugs xxxxxxx

Lovely wonderful amazing mumsnetters

Its 12.29am here in Melbourne and I must fall in to bed, happy and exhausted after the most beautiful day in Sydney (which I will give you all the precious details about tomorrow when I can think straight) but for now, as promised, I just wanted to share beautiful Neve-Bean with you all the second I downloaded my photos, its the very least you all deserve after helping guide her safely into the world! There is a quite a gallery in my profile page so I hope you enjoy them. She is divine and they are the happiest little family in the world tonight.

beautiful pictures of a beautiful baby.

The one of her next to the scan photo is AMAZING!

AbbyLou · 11/03/2007 14:55

I've only ever lurked on this thread, not feeling was enough part of the story to post at such a late stage. However, I would like to add many, many congratulations to you and your whole family on the birth of beautiful little Neve. Having watched a friend and her dh go through the deepest agony and then utter elation of ivf, I sort of know what they've been through. Your photos are absolutely amazing and I'm sure they are something the family will cherish for many, many years. I wonder how many you will take of her in the next few years? The photos made me cry as they just look so utterly besotted and have that lovely calm, almost satisfied look about them - I send my deepest love to them all.

AitchYouBerk · 11/03/2007 15:09

wonderful. just wonderful. [through tears]

hunkermunker · 11/03/2007 15:11

OMG! I have tears in my eyes. This absolutly wonderful news and Neve is a very lucky girl to have two wonderful parents and a family who have wanted her so much.

Send huge hugs and congrats to mummy and daddy.

Oooooh, this has made my day reading this.

DonnyLass · 11/03/2007 15:25

Stunning. Just stunning.

A picture truly does paint a thousand words ... and these sing out everything that is good and beautiful about that first precious day when you view the world as

A Family.

DonnyLass · 11/03/2007 15:32

I wrote this for my daughter when she was a few days old ... sending it as a gift of welcome to the new family to comemorate how those first few days feel as a family with your precious baby girl ..

LITTLE MISS PICKLE

You are everything to us.
Already. You dominate our day
And every moment is; forever you.
There is nothing that we wouldn't do
To bring a smile. You will be with us
This short while before
The world will grab you for her own.
But now, in these milky midnights of adoration
We treasure our fickle pickle
With your mews and your hisses and those
Soft, needy gasps. You have captured. Enraptured.
Us. Family together. In your infinite beauties.

FromGirders · 11/03/2007 16:01

grouchyoscar · 11/03/2007 17:05
