Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi everyone - had a bit of a shock last night. Tried to get comfy on my tummy and just couldn't - can't say that I could feel anything there just an uncomfortable pressure when I lay on my front.

I am amazed that things my uterus is growing so quickly (I am only 9 weeks) - more than that how am I going to survive - 31 weeks of sleeping on my side

My belly is also sticking out - I just can't believe I am already starting to show...

How are your bellies getting along?

Welcome to the new joiners, goodluck and hope that we all have a good laugh through this strange time - at somepoint we will have to put to gether a list of everyone so that I at least can keep track of names and dates...I think the hormones have aready gone to my brain.

Dejags, I know what you mean about the belly thing, although I think mine is brought on by indulgent eating rather than baby growth, aren't the embryos only 1cm long at the mo!?

With my first I didn't show (even paraded around in a bikini) until I was 23 weeks with the first pg, although I made up for lost time over the following 20 weeks and became a mamouth. This time round it would appear that my body has given up without a fight and is going straight to the mamouth look. Oh well.

pollingfold · 11/02/2004 17:34

Agree on the low cut jeans, used them with pg 1, but this time can't even get in them when I'm not pregnant let alone in a few months!!

jacksmumto1 · 11/02/2004 19:53

Hello to all the newbies!!

I most certainly have a bump! Can only fit in to my 'biggie' jeans and trousers I bought especially to keep me going! My tum is also very tender - can't bear anything too close!!

How are folk feeling? nausea hasn't been too bad this week but the hunger pangs and heartburn are back! And I am still so tired!

Off to see the midwife next week - seems very early at only 9 3/4 weeks but at least things will start moving!

tillymint · 11/02/2004 22:21

Hi Jacks, I'm not due 'til 6 Sept and also have a bump, even though I've only gained 5lbs - so far that is.

I've got my second scan (12week) on 26Feb but don't have visit from mw til 9 March. There really is no consistancy in the NHS!!

Except for tiredness and aching pubis/back I feel fine - is a boy this time????

jacksmumto1 · 11/02/2004 23:27

Hi Tillymint, had a boy last time with really bad SPD but don't recall the tiredness being as bad.. the sickness was much worse last time too.. SPD is back with a vengence and I can hardly keep my eyes open - this is the latest I have been up for several weeks (8.25pm)!!!! I'm wondering if it is a girl!

I have no scans till I'm about 20 weeks but see the midwife between 9 and 12 weeks to 'book in'. Postcode lottery is the truth!

Quackers · 11/02/2004 23:28

Hi,Gosh that's a long wait isn't it. My first would normally be at 16 weeks but fortunately had a couple of early ones due to previous probs. Would you maybe have a private one?

tillymint · 12/02/2004 00:33

My SIL has all her babies private - more money than sense in my opinion. Her scans cost £150+ each time and she has to go into London from hants. The whole birth thing, which she has no probs with, costs about £6000 per baby. Plus travel and childcare. Also noone goes to visit 'cos its too far!! NHS all the way. But I do request early reassurance/dating scans.

Dinny · 13/02/2004 13:54

Hi everyone,

How are you all? I am STILL puking but I think it is lessening a little. Am trying to remember when I stopped wearing normal clothes last time and went a size up. Still in normal jeans but a lot of my tops look weird. Am 10.5 weeks, not long till 3 months when am determined puking will stop! xx

Dinny · 13/02/2004 14:04

Ohmigdod, is 10.5 weeks too early to feel moving with 2nd baby - sure can feel darting round or something similar. Ooooh, v excited - just happened then twice!!!

steppemum · 13/02/2004 16:32

Hi everyone, I'm going to have to withdraw from this thread, I started bleeding yeterday (8 weeks), and today it's pretty obvious I've lost the baby, feeling very sad, don't think I'll post for a while
lots of love to you all, I'll keep reading how you're doing.

So so sorry Steppemum!

Sorry to ask but have you been to the hospital to have a scan? Just from your post it didn't mention anything about having the loss confirmed.
