Angelico I am roasting hot at night too. And agree re horror stories - but I guess people only speak up if there;s something wrong

Cheekychops29 · 01/02/2012 20:22

Hi all, congrats on everyone's bfp :)

Had a call from the midwife today yeay, she was lovely and is coming to my house sat morning...now that's what I call service lol!! All a little bit more 'real' now she knows.

I'll be coming into week 6 starting tomo, with hardly any symptoms! Just slightly sore boobs, tired, windypops, and into sweet foods! I could usually sleep for days but now I could compete in the Olympics!!!

Best wishes to each and everyone of you xxx

milk · 01/02/2012 20:37

I had my scan today.

The doctor could only see the sac and no yolk. I have to go back in 2 weeks and they will see if I am pregnant or if I had a miscarriage.

For that reason I won't be on for a few weeks, but I'll let you know the results afterwards.

Littlepurpleprincess · 01/02/2012 20:39

Waves to Angelico. I got my BFP this afternoon. Definately pregnant! Grin

I feel so wierd. I have no symptoms at all! I did a clear blue test and it said I'm 2-3 weeks gone.

Good luck everyone! xx

Littlepurpleprincess · 01/02/2012 20:40

x posted.

Good luck milk. I hope things go well for you in the next 2 weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

Angelico · 01/02/2012 21:28

Hey Purple - great news. Milk - I'm so sorry your scan didn't give you any reassurance, I really, really hope you get good news. We'll all be thinking about you xo

Angelico · 01/02/2012 22:28

Ouch. Quite bad cramps tonight and a trapped wind feeling. Not good :( Looked it up and apparently it's common.

meales · 01/02/2012 22:31

I hope it goes ok for you MILK,
My sister in law had that too, fingers crossed xxx

Hi BEANS, I'm a children's nurse and love my job! I work full time shifts and look after my daughter in between! Smile I sometimes get very knackered and now that I'm pregnant again I think I'm gonna feel the strain!

Hey what's a BFP? Blush I have no clue! Lol

It's nice to read all your comments! Xx

PopcornMouse · 02/02/2012 08:55

Milk it is so little, I have heard of it being missed before. Fx for your scan in 2 weeks - stay positive.

Cheers angelico - I have an underactive thyroid so I will need monitoring I think. I'm worried about going hypo and losing it, but my levels were good when I was tested 6 weeks ago so I'm just fx atm and avoiding all the horror stories on t'interweb :o
(I am also suffering with the wind and windy-cramps. And acid indigestion. Ouch)

Meales BFP is a Big Fat Positive! :o

HeeHeeHeeBum · 02/02/2012 10:09

Hi again all. I have just had my doctors appointment and came away feeling a bit stressed. My blood presssure was a bit high (as it often is when I get measured at the docs) and I mentioned the wine drinking and that I was worried. I asked if it would effect the baby and she said "time will tell"!!! She did then reassure me a little but thats not the answer I was hoping for :(

milk I hope all is ok.

milk · 02/02/2012 10:19

HeeHeeHeeBum, your GP sounds as insensitive as mine!

Chucklepumps · 02/02/2012 10:27

Hello all!
Completely new to this (writing on walls like this and pregnancy!).
Did 3 positive tests over Sunday/Monday morning and have expected DD of 6th-ish October we think - very exciting and a lot scary!

Congratulations to everybody on their news!

I've been reading through all this since Monday and it's been interesting reading everyone's thoughts and their symptoms!

I've been feeling absolutely knackered but only at certain times of the day. Really sore boobs (especially nipples!), and worryingly, abdominal pain.
Had some blood/urine tests on Monday and looks like I've had a bladder infection (bad timing!) but they've been on the phone this morning and asked me to go for a scan to make sure the embryo is where it's meant to be... eeek!

PopcornMouse · 02/02/2012 10:47

Heeheehee that's terrible!! Shock
But I really wouldn't worry. Iirc you don't share fluid with the foetus until 8 weeks-ish so anything you drank in the first 2 shouldn't make a huge difference. I could be wrong, but that's what I've read on MN.

If it's a comfort, I have been ttc for 12 months and so I've been drinking normally throughout (can't possibly put life on hold for a year Shock Blush ) - and had wine the weekend before testing too. Tee-total now, though, and couldn't be happier :o

PopcornMouse · 02/02/2012 10:49

chuckle I've had a bit of abdo pain, I've put it down to trapped wind Blush and implantation. I've had no spotting so I'm not especially concerned about it?

:o

HeeHeeHeeBum · 02/02/2012 11:19

Thanks PopcornMouse I had read that too but just wanted to tell the doctor for reassurance. She was a new doctor and admitted to not knowing about a couple of things so I will try to put it out of my mind. I hope the midwife is a bit more comforting :)

mrsv2 · 02/02/2012 11:27

Morning all......a bit of abdo pain is normal, implantation pain and adjustments going on in your uterus, I really wouldnt worry about a few glasses of wine this early on i deliberately didnt test so i could enjoy my birthday weekend. Mind you with a 10month old i wasnt exactly pissed! I also had alcohol during my last pregnanacy, nothing for the first 12 weeks then i had 1 small glass of wine with a meal at the weekend. A relaxed and happy mom is better than a stressed out, in need of a drink one :) I feel remarkably calm about this pregnancy so far, last time i was so paranoid that something would go wrong that i forgot to enjoy it.......so my plan is this time to enjoy ( although i know as time goes on and i hit the 28-29 week point evryday the bean doesnt arrive will be a bonus)

meales · 02/02/2012 13:44

My previous pregnancy with my daughter I actually bled quite a bit around 8 weeks in the toilet (after I strained a bit too hard for a poo!lol) and everything was fine. I feel bloated today and I'm on my feet all day on a 12 hr shift! Ahhhh!

Don't worry everybody! A worry free mommy is a happy and healthy mummy! Just stay positive :-) x

DelphineDonkeygoesDoolally · 02/02/2012 13:59

Hi everyone!

According to my dates I'm due on 1st October.

I've already got a DS and this so far this pregnancy feels VERY different. With DS I pretty much had no symptoms apart from a bit of nausea and craving salty and sour stuff. This time round I've been feeling UTTERLY EXHAUSTED from the week before I found out I was pregnant. I'm asleep by 8pm pretty much every day and had to have a nap yesterday - DS wouldn't nap so I left him in his cot playing with his teddies, turned the monitor off and slept for 2 hours!

My boobs are also a lot more painful, last night I couldn't sleep on my front as they were hurting too much.

I feel a bit nauseous mid morning but it goes after eating.

It's all so different that I keep scaring myself and thinking I'm having twins...

PopcornMouse · 02/02/2012 14:22

Ooo Delphine I was just about to suggest twins :o

Does anyone else have a lot of CM atm? sorry tmi Blush

Pregnancy diary just delivered from Amazon! I've probably jinxed it now........ :o

Beans1977 · 02/02/2012 14:26

PopcornMouse - I do! What's with that? I had a MMC last year so keep feeling that something is wrong, go to the loo to do my knicker checker bit, and then feel like an idiot!

MalibuStacy · 02/02/2012 14:29

OK, well I had my second betaHCG blood test today at 14DPO, and it was 1055. So I'm very definitely pregnant, most likely with twins. Still don't feel any different though!

DelphineDonkeygoesDoolally · 02/02/2012 14:46

I've got the CM thing too!

MalibuStacy, is the betaHCG level related to how many babies you're carrying? Do you have to go to the doc to have that done? Not that I'm worried or anything... How do you feel??

I haven't gone to see the GP yet, I'm moving in a couple of weeks so I don't really see the point - last time it was such an anti-climax!

PopcornMouse · 02/02/2012 14:53

I keep doing that too, beans !! Glad it's not just me :o

MalibuStacy · 02/02/2012 14:58

Delphine, it can be. You have 2 tests a few days apart, and they work out by how much the number has multiplied. Ours has multiplied quite a bit.

Any doctor can do this test, although you might have to pay. It measures HCG, basically the same thing that the Home Pregnancy Tests measure.

campbelly · 02/02/2012 15:00

popcorn, delphine and beans
I was literally just coming on here to post that question! Soaking wet (probably tmi)and making me run to the loo thinking there's a problem .

I'm so glad it's not just me. I think I shall be purchasing some panty liners...
