Just had a BFP and wondered if anyone wanted to join me in the rollercoaster ride over the next few months

I feel bleurgh. We need a green sickface emoticon. Dug my mat jeans out and spent the day in them as I cannot bear anything tight around my stomach. Just makes me feel even more chunder-worthy. I had forgotten how awful the first few weeks are, and why I swore last time I'd never do it again.....
Off to find a bucket.

turnwest · 11/02/2012 20:13

Sumsey- so so sorry, I don't know what else to say.

marvellousmarie · 11/02/2012 20:21

I'm sorry sumsey , life can be so cruel sometimes xxxxx

I had definate bleeding at 6 weeks with my DD and fresh blood. I had bright red and brown blood stains, had hcg tests and everything and my lovely girl was born fine! I also heard that it could be a twin that's lots when you bleed a little??? Hope this helps put peoples minds at rest?

missbone · 11/02/2012 21:15

Hiya Marie! Glad you're o.k Grin

turnwest · 11/02/2012 22:07

I ve started bleeding a little, it's faint pink, not a lot I can do but go to bed and hope that it does nt get heavier. I m scared though, want this baby so much, does nt help that I ve got stomach and back cramps too. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Angelico · 11/02/2012 22:14

Take care turnwest. The back pain can be normal - I've had my first back pain tonight and apparently it's the same as the cramps at front - ligaments softening. Try not to panic yet - sending positive vibes xo

turnwest · 11/02/2012 22:20

I m trying not to panic,; in bed now, got a relax app on phone I m going to do, read on Internet it's common in early pregnancy, so just hoping. Thanks for your kind words though, I ll update tomorrow.

marvellousmarie · 11/02/2012 23:09

Hi litlan congratulations on the BFP!

I know what you mean about sick in your throat, I think it's acid indigestion/ reflux thing. I've been taking Rennies to help!

missbone · 11/02/2012 23:17

turnwest, hang on in there...praying for you right now x

Beeblebear · 12/02/2012 00:21

Two little monkeys... Glad to see you over here! I.m just quietly going to sit and watch in here until it starts to feel more real.

BabyDustPlease · 12/02/2012 07:35

Hi everyone, haven't been on here for a few days but good to catch up with what is going on. Sorry to all that have lost, so sad and frightens me alot.

I am 6+1 now and got very limited symptoms which is worrying me more than anything :( Have my booking in appt on Friday and my early scan on the 25th so fingers crossed.

Hope you're all keeping well.

Summer2008 · 12/02/2012 08:06

Hi all, can I join :) I already have a very nearly 2 year old and am currently 4-5 weeks pregnant with no2! Need some hand holding as had some spotting which is worrying but my tests are still raging positives so hope this is a good sign :)

Waves to everyone and congrats to you all!!

Beans1977 · 12/02/2012 08:12

Hi Babydust - I have an early scan on 25th Feb too due to a previous MMC so will be thinking of you on that day and hope we both get good news. It can't come round quickly enough now!

Congratulations Summer! x

turnwest · 12/02/2012 08:13

Hi everyone, well I ve had worst night sleep ever been up every hour to go to loo and check, blood seems to have disappeared, so maybe everything will be ok? I suppose I ll just have to wait and see. My back is killing me though
and boobs look like they have shrunk again.

My dd had cheered me up though she's just come in my bedroom and given me the biggest hug, whatever happens with this baby I am still a mum and very lucky.

twolittlemonkeys · 12/02/2012 08:21

Well so far a bizarre symptom, which I don't recall having in any other pregnancies is that I seem to have more energy than usual, am going to bed later, waking up earlier and still feeling energetic (freak) For example I've been up and about for over half an hour today (unusual for a Sunday morning) and am making pancakes for DH! (we are celebrating Valentine's Day today as most of Tuesday will be spent driving/on a ferry (going to Disneyland Paris with the kids - no scary rides for me then! Grin)

I am completely obsessed with being pregnant. DH has already caught me looking at baby equipment online and keeps saying it's too early and that I shouldn't get my hopes up (he is very worried I will MC again). Oh, I just want to see a healthy baby on a scan, then I might have a chance of relaxing somewhat. We've decided to tell FIL tomorrow as we are taking him on holiday with us, and will tell my mum when we see her on Saturday. She has been looking after the cot we got for the baby I lost (so has had it in her spare room for the best part of 2 years!)

Congrats and welcome to the newbies. :)

marvellousmarie · 12/02/2012 08:48

Morning all!

babydustplease try not to worry, I had hardly any symptoms with my first pregnancy and bled a bit around this time. You may just be lucky like I was! Worrying doesn't do the pregnancy any good, what ever is happening it's out of our control, so we just have to be patient ( very hard I know) xxx

turnwest if bleeding stopped that's good. You must try to get the rest you need! It does no good worrying over it as everything could be fine and your making yourself worry for nothing. I know it's easier said than done especially as some on here have MC, but it has to be healthier for you and your baby to relax and try to stay positive. Keep yourself occupied with something, cooking, cleaning... That's what I do anyway!

I on the other hand am worried I'm having twins. I know a lot of women worry that but I just feel different and my symptoms are much more pronounced this time (as I said I was very lucky with dd)! I am really constipated, which is early and I don't know I just feel different! Maybe its a boy?? Anyone else agree?

BabyDustPlease · 12/02/2012 09:05

Beans1977 Good luck for you scan, heres hoping it is good news for both of us.

marvellousmarie thank you for your wise words!! You are very right, it is out of my control. I shall start relaxing more :) xxx

missbone · 12/02/2012 09:25

Welcome litlan and summer2008...and congratulations Thanks

turnwest, my thoughts are with you..keep getting those hugs from your DD - they sound ggrrrreat!!

marie it wouldn't surprise me if i was having twins - my Mum is one!! I'm going to have to resort to maternity jeans soon as i can no longer tolerate mine. I'm massively bloated and my breasts are a whole cup-size bigger with huge blue veins on them.

My thoughts are with those of you who are spotting/bleeding xxx

missbone · 12/02/2012 09:28

baby & beans: What do these early scans reaveal? Do they really put your mind at rest up until the second trimester? Thinking of begging my doctor for one (seeing as I'm over 40) but have heard they can give false hope if you go on to MC at 10 wks etc.

missbone · 12/02/2012 09:29

*reveal

turnwest · 12/02/2012 09:50

Thanks for everyones kind words, been knicker and tissue checking this morning and everything seems fine so far, so going to take my mind off it all by going to blackpool for the day with DD, DH, BIL and BILS big dog! Going to Stanley park so tiny DD (only 4) can walk BILS big dog(but very friendly), might even have a big bag of chips too (not healthy but..), should be a laugh and will hopefully make me think about something else.

Missbone and marie- I would love to have twins!! (am I a bit bonkers??)
