Evening all!

I really have been feeling lots of aches and pains down below! I thought it was a mixture of IBS, a massive trapped fart and pregnancy pains! I was constantly knicker checking too! DH wanted to have some nipple play and I nearly punched him they were so sensitive! Blush

missbone I failed miserably with the BJ last night, I need to psych myself and feel horny but really I just feel like a windy whale! Confused any tips!??

Welcome to all the newbies! I havnt got a clue about all this IT talk, it sounds very advanced! I suppose I talk my own talk at work too! Hmm

I went to look for maternity jeans today and chickened out because it's a bit early! Anyone else wearing maternity clothes?

kclodic · 09/02/2012 18:53

Hi, made a blood test yesterday, it's positive:)). I am so excited but worried at the same time, had two miscarriages in the past (after having my daughter).
Now trying to find a good doctor here (we are in Paris), so much hoping that things go well this time...

Sumsey · 09/02/2012 18:54

Sumsey · 09/02/2012 19:05

OOOOOOOOOOOOO SCARY BIT...can tell/hear it in the midwifes voice!!!

(and from DS1 delivery....bloody scary o - 60 induction that ended up in emergency c-section and really really poorly DS1)

oooo flashbacks! :(

Angelico · 09/02/2012 21:20

Evening all. One new symptom to report - and it ain't nice! Last night my vision in my right eye went mad strange black and white pulsing lights, followed by pain on left side of head. Googled it and apparently a lot of women get their first ever migraine when pregant. Oh joy - another thing to worry about. Keeping this short and sweet as got it when on computer and tired - which I am now. Time to go! xo

Frescolita · 09/02/2012 21:39

Anyone else relieved that tomorrow is Friday? I have had little other than pregnancy in my head since Monday, and have been laughing off my tiredness/distraction/stomach cramps at work as flu/period pain/stress. I feel like such a liar. :( Thankfully like some of the others I also work in an office full of men-let's hope they remain oblivious. Xx

missbone · 09/02/2012 21:40

WARNING! The following post contains gratuitous filth aimed at Marie:

Zoe, thank you so much for your suggestion, i really am going to give it a whirl...it's yonks since I learned something new and I am really quite diabolical with computer stuff.

Marie, re the blowjobs, it really is a case of my being so full of gratitude and love for my DP for giving me this baby that sometimes i can't help but want to suck his dick (sorry, ladies, for my coarseness) Blush So, marie, gratitude is key, my dear (however, that doesn't extend to penetration just yet...I'm frightened of post-orgasm pulsating vagina causing bean to dislodge!) I know what you mean about the tender nips; this morning I told DP to aim away from mine when he spanked the monkey over 'em.

kclodic, welcome and congratulations! Thanks Paris, eh? Very posh! Here's wishing you are very safe and happy pregnancy. Good luck with la docteur (my attempt at French accent) Confused

Sumsey! (can I call you Jo or what?) What time is your scan in the morning (so I can pray just before it)?
OBEM was a cracker wasn't it (your c-section sounds scary, you poor thing)? It breaks my heart/annoys me to see babies giving birth to babies (the 17 yr old), but I think she'll keep her head screwed on - unlike her rat of a jailbird fella.

Well, tomorrow I am going to attempt to learn something new apropos Zoe's advice.

Thinking of you tomorrow Sumsey/Jo Thanks

missbone · 09/02/2012 21:47

Blimey, Angelico! That is deffo a migraine, my love. Take things easy and try not to get anxious Thanks

Frescolita, I was going to send you Thanks to cheer you up, but I reckon your dreamy Latin American hubby's got a few tricks up his sleeve that would be far more effective Wink

Sumsey · 09/02/2012 21:54

missbone...(aka kerry??) of course u can call me jo xxxx

hahahahahah about BJ's.....i normally induge but bit of a hyper gag reflex makes it a sensitive operation! hahahaha.....

scan is at 11.00 tomorrow...the hour countdown is well and truely on.....as the bleeding has stopped and constant preggo test still say baby on board..im not too worried BUT...want to know for sure that flump...thats what it is being referred to...is ok....

missbone has bean...sumsey has flump! Grin

the emergency c-sec was horrible....had to have elective with DS2 which was a completely different experience.....and i recovered so much quicker!

i was hoping for a VBAC but best laid plans and all that jazz.....my babies have a tendancy to get too comfy and stay in there......DS1 was term plus 14 days and DS 2 was term plus 12!!!!!

when i met with midwife on tues...she put my mind at rest and advised me that they wont try to bully me in to vbac (like horrid consultant did last time)....

one piece of advice i will pass on to all the first timers out there is

ITS UR BODY AND YOUR CHOICE AT END OF DAY..DO NOT LET ANYONE FORCE YOU INTO ANYTHING..AND IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION BEFORE YOU DECIDE ABOUT ANYTHING...THEN TELL THEM NO HANG ON ON FECKING MINUTE!!! (sorry to go on but nearly lost DS1 as a result of pushy bloody doctors!!) Angry

the hospital/docs/midwife/professionals do know whats best but whats best is not necessarilly best for u....

ok getting off of my soap box now! .......(takes a deep calming whoosaaaaa of a breath)

p.s feeling the preggers hormones today!! (just incase anyone didnt notice)

Blush
Sumsey · 09/02/2012 21:58

angelico i had pregnancy related migraines with both DS's...it sucks but does get better...the best remedy is sleep and lots of it xxxx

missbone · 09/02/2012 22:31

Jo, what a nightmare your experience sounds! (What is a VBAC, please?)
On the subject of maternity clothes, the jury's out for me at the moment. Yes, I'm very bloated - and not a little uncomfortable - but my pregnancy 'bible' tells me that this bloating will subside and then I will be my normal size until bean begins to show (maybe as late as 21 weeks!) What does anyone else think? Have you all read the same kind of thing?

One topic I am dying for someone on here to bring up is: BABY NAMES!!! My family are horrified/mortified at my choice of names so I'm terrified of telling you lot!! I like old-fashioned names from the 1800s and I'm afraid I am not willing to be swayed by the masses on this one [gulp!]

Sumsey · 09/02/2012 23:07

missbone

owww ya gotta tell!!!! come on ehat are your names?

vbac is vaginal birth after cesarian.....scary when forced on u and they say they gonna induce u to do it.....no fecking way..i would have done/tried one as long as no inducement.....!!!!

my DS1 middle name is corneliua and DS2 middle name is Tiberius.....cant get older than roman emperors!!! Grin

Sumsey · 09/02/2012 23:08

cornelius not corneliua!!!

Bubblebell1 · 10/02/2012 06:13

Morning girls

miss how u feeling. I too have given up smoking and I'm on anti ds. He has lowered the dose but not taken me off completely.

sums good luck today luvly. Will be waiting to hear your good news Grin

Im Emma btw. Where's our list gone ? X I'm loosing track Blush

Bubblebell1 · 10/02/2012 06:18

Sad I have spotting Sad

YompingJo · 10/02/2012 06:34

Bubblebell1 Hang in there and (obviously a stupid thing to say), try not to worry too much, I have read in lots of places that light spotting is normal and does not mean anything bad. See here: www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/bleedingearlypregexpert/ xx

Bubblebell1 · 10/02/2012 06:43

Thanks. Just worrying with all the cramping I had last time. 8.30 seems age away. Want to phone the dr Sad

Bubblebell1 · 10/02/2012 06:44

All the cramping I've had last few days sorry x
Argh

Sumsey · 10/02/2012 08:40

bubble...ive had spotting the last 3/4 days try not to worry xxxxx

Zoeplankton · 10/02/2012 09:31

Hope it's all ok, bubble. Sounds normal, hope it is.

Had drinks at the pub last night with work colleagues. I'm new in the office, so I really had to go. The doc said new advice = 1 or 2 units a week is ok, so I had a half, claimed I was on a medicine that I wasn't supposed to take alcohol with. Blimey, that half was not easy to drink! Gave me heartburn, immediately! I nursed that poor little half for over an hour, because it was so hard to choke down! So much for missing alcohol... I can hardly drink it!

Thanks for the migraine tipoff, angelico. If it happens to me, I'll know not to freak out completely :)

HeeHeeHeeBum · 10/02/2012 09:39

Bubble I've had a bit of spotting too but it seems to have stopped now. Hope you are ok - try not to worry.
Angelico I feel for you - I get migraines. Having a lie down in the dark really helps as does paracetamol (if it's allowed).
I'm feeling much more positive today about work, you ladies have obviously talked some sense into me :)

missbone · 10/02/2012 09:55

Emma, love, do try not to panic - one in three women bleed during pregnancy, and remember that nearly all of us on here are cramping almost daily.
I'm finding the stronger patches great and haven't smoked since Wednesday (which I blamed on the stress of watching One Born Every Minute!) I hope my doctor doesn't ever, ever, EVER take me off these antidepressants. Seriously Emma, my brain becomes seriously mangled in times of depression and I don't want to be saddled with the horror of that when baby comes.

Jo, have a wonderful experience this morning...praying for you x (and I can't bring myself to tell you my names yet! Cornelius & Tiberius are utterly fabulous names! I also like Cassius & Titus [theses aren't my names] but Titus can be misconstrued as 'tight-arse'! I do love some of the bible names.)

Sumsey = Jo
Bubble = Emma
MissBone= Kerry (Bone)(obviously)
MarvellousMarie = Dunno. Can't work it out.

Bubblebell1 · 10/02/2012 10:10

Kerry I won't be taken off mine either. I asked to have a lower dose coz I reckon I'll need a higher dose when/if baby gets here

I had a bath and now there isn't anymore when I wipe. I've phoned dr waiting for a time to have a scan.

Just super scared coz I've had operations on my cervix and I'm waiting to see if it's competent to hold a baby inside. Then there is what happened in 2010. Sad feel lower than a rattlesnakes dick Sad

Fingers toes legs and eyes crossed

turnwest · 10/02/2012 12:09

Kerry- Hope you re ok, I ve had lots of period type cramping this week but I ve read its normal, just done another test to make sure I m still pregnant. I am, will be glad when I am 12 weeks and can relax a little.

I m still eating loads, cant stop thinking about food, I know you dont need extra calories when you re pregnant in the early months so why I am so hungry? Trying to keep it healthy but all I really want is a big bag of chips and a big plate of cauliflower cheese with branston pickle on top. I m even waking up in the night hungry.
