Hi just joined Mumsnet and couldn't find a thread for Dec/Jan babies. Anyone due around this time?

Hi joolee and misspastry, have had a stretch and sweep but nothing happening still. Are you two still pregnant? Hope I'm not the last one on this thread

Hayls · 15/01/2004 18:05

CCC, I'm still here although I haven't been on much recently. Not even officially due until 28th so looks like I'll be the last! Hope everybody is OK

Hi guys

Phew, I thought I was the last one to go! Actually probably will be the way things are turning out .

Had 2nd sweep today and it looks like things are moving forward. Although booked in for induction Friday 6pm looks like I will be able to defer it for a few days .

Also found out that baby probably a 9lb-er, ouch.

Have you guys got a date for induction? Have you been pressured into one?

hi ya its funny isn't it!, the thread had gone quite so i thought there was only me left with all other ladies pushing for britain!!!

I had a stretch and sweep on Tues, now thurs eve and still nothing, the odd twinge. Im booked for hospital visit on Mon and they'll probabably induuce me the day after. I've got to the point where I have had enough and I was induced with my ds and I dont have any horror story delivery tale. It was a bit quick, but no other intrervention needed.

So If anyone else is gaoing for induction don't panic is the message!!!

joolee · 15/01/2004 21:27

Thanks for the reassurance re induction. I really don't want one especially as I want a homebirth but if I have to over the weekend then at least it might not be too bad

I'm still here, what about hayls, joolee and misspastry?

misspastry · 17/01/2004 16:23

still here, i was wondering where everyone lived, maybe well have other things in common too!

freinds are now calling round with bunches of flowers! realising how fed up I am being 10 days overdue!

Hayls · 17/01/2004 19:59

Misspastry, really hope you don't have much longer to wait. I'm soo impatient already and I'm not yet overdue. I seem to get a phone call most days asking if anything's happened yet so can't imagine what it'll be like if I'm overdue! I'm uncomfortable and grumpy all the time, all I want to do is sleep!
Hope everybody is OK (well all that's left-I'm going to be all alone!)
Take care

Hello all. Thinking of those of you who are still waiting. Things have been quiet on this thread for a few days so I am assuming there will be some birth announcements very soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all. Good Luck.

joolee · 22/01/2004 15:38
