P.s. name change he he he

The3Bears · 07/02/2012 06:33

I have my scan in 2 hours!!! Blush So nervous but excited too Grin

hamncheese · 07/02/2012 08:05

OH DEAR GOD LISTER THE CHEESE BOMB... I need that in my life... how happy we would be together! For our wedding I really wanted the cheese cake www.norbitoncheese.co.uk/stock/Stock.aspx?LinkID=3&SubLinkID=71 but DH was all like 'not everyone loves cheese like you'. Whatever.

Also loving the name change westcountry :D

tubtoes - I had a headache for 48hours straight over the weekend which took no notice of paracetamol at all. I tried drinking tonnes on the second day in case it was dehydration but to no avail. Called the NHS24 people for advice and told if it came on gradual and wasn't a migraine there wasn't much to do but I could take cocodamol if I wanted. Didn't want to risk it - not too keen on paracetamol let alone coco - so DH got me those icey gel forehead strips b migraleve and i went to bed and tried to be as still and quiet as possible. Next morning much less sore and took 2 paracetamol with breakfast and it's been banished. Don't know if that helps but it was hellish to say the least.

I have a tiny bump ginger... used to be it would only show itself in the evening so I thought bloat but now its there all day can even feel when lying flat, can't wait to have a proper one :)

Last night the shop across the road's alarm kept going off every half hour it was ridiculous and the police couldn't do anything. Called the council night noise phone line at 3.01 and lo and behold it closes at 3am so they people who could access the database to get the owners details were all off to their warm QUIET beds Angry. Actually went out in my pjs in the freezing f-ing fog to find somehting on the shopfront and it doesn't even have a name on it!!!! Searched the address on google for ages eventually finding a name I didn't recognize which had a facebook page where I guessed and got the mobile number of the owner. He was like "oh, the alarm? really? this is the first I've heard of it" NO WONDER! He also sounded very chipper for 3am which bugged me and asked if I was sure it was his shop. Um yes, I was standing outside it in -3degrees. Cannot wait to move to le countryside again... counting down the days.

Hope you all got a better night than us and hope your scan is amazing 3bears x

(13+2 woohoo)

MrsMigginslovespies · 07/02/2012 09:16

Hello all, tis super cold here today. Ham that sounds awful. Hope you manage a nap/early night later today. Poor you.

I want a cheese bomb too. Sounds awesome.

My exciting news: am 12 weeks today Grin

Puppy has come into season yesterday, has a gummy eye and is generally under the weather. She's not really got up properly yet, poor girl. May have to take her to the vet later if the eye gets worse. All in a day's work!

Eat cheese and be merry. (Btw, marmite goes v well with philly or cheddar. Just saying).

NeedlesCuties · 07/02/2012 10:00

Notice to all August ladies: I, NeedlesCuties have never eaten Marmite in all my 27 years on earth Blush

With this DC my cravings have been croissants and orange juice at all hours of the day (and evening). I'm not even French!

With DS I craved Pickled Onion Monster Munch and tea.

Now I couldn't even look at a cup of tea if you asked me to.

I do like cheese though....

Lovemarmite · 07/02/2012 10:44

Ahhh Needlescuties never had marmite? maybe a blessing, or if you had you maybe well and truly hooked.
I, Lovemarmite, on the other hand, have eaten enough for 2!

Me too on the orange juice and have been having a few croissants at the weekend - with dairylea! Ok that last bit is probably sounding nasty but it's yummy.

Just come back from our scan - the LO wriggled a lot and wouldn't stay still, grown to 7.5cm and so 1.5cm in a week. I woke up this morning and was stretching my tummy a lot and was a bit concerned I was squashing the LO, but luckily we have a happy one in there that seemed to mimicking my long stretches this morning and so learning already. Must curb my bad habits from now on then obviously!!

Love the name change too westcountry. The cheese bomb is intriguing, oooo cheese...

tashaw28 · 07/02/2012 11:43

Morning!
Had my scan yesterday and all fine phew!!!! Was sooo worried but they were lovely there and 'it' was v cooperative!! Anyway they moved my dates so am now due on 19/8/12!!Smile

alisonmcg · 07/02/2012 12:07

So happy to hear about all the great scans! So jealous, mine still feels like ages away!

Well I've had my comeuppance for tiredness being my only symptom so far. Had the flu jab yesterday and have been ill since, sick and aching all over!! Did anyone else react this way? Spoke to the midwife and she said that unfortunately this can just be how some people react and I just have to rest. Couldn't make it into work and feel guilty because we're really busy at the moment and nobody knows about the pregnancy yet so they probably all think I'm skiving as was fine the last time they saw me!

NeedlesCuties · 07/02/2012 12:42

alison I didn't get the flu jab this time nor when pregnant with DS. Nothing wrong with it, but I just decided I didn't want it.

However, DH has to get it due to the line of work he's in. He got symptoms same as you and even came out in a rash over his hands!! Think it's just that some people (pregnant or not) react a bit oddly to the flu jab, but doesn't last too long. DH was back to 'normal' after a few days.

glittershoes · 07/02/2012 12:49

So great to hear all the great scan news!

I totally agree Poppy, really surreal still! I was most surprised that it had a little life in there; that it was moving around and sucking its thumb and having a merry old time!

You poor thing alison! Hope you start to feel better, that combined with the tiredness must just knock you out.

My cravings are weird, I will suddenly get a desperate need for something (on Saturday night it was apples for example) and nothing else will do. Then I will have it once and I will be AMAZING and then I don't want anymore. Poor DH is finishing off large portions of things that I needed and then ate a bit of before declaring my craving over and wanting no more! He is getting only a little cross....

Don't talk to me about cheese. It is going on EVERYTHING in my house: pasta, toast, potatoes, crackers, rice.... and it is all so so good! Slightly worried for my cholestral (sp?!) but have decided to ignore for now and enjoy!

However my father-in-law has just announced that he and his partner are getting married at the beginning of June so will have to call off the cheese at some point and actually start exercising again. I know I will be huge but I would like to be that elusive svelte, toned and all bump pregnant lady rather than a whale!

I think we will be finding out the gender, I didn't want to but I don't think I could stand someone else knowing (DH, doctor etc..) and not me! I am the mummy! And I don't like saying 'it', much rather be able to say 'he' or 'she'.

Anyone have an inkling on what they are having? So many people say that they just know but I have no clue whatsoever!

Also forgot to say that I have come forward a few days and am now due on the 14th, it may be just due to a giant sized baby though - DH was 12lb 11oz when born.....

The3Bears · 07/02/2012 13:17

GrinGrinGrin

Had my scan baby was perfect! Wriggling alot and sucking his/her thumb was so amazing Grin Due date is 11/08/12 so im 13+3, the lady was lovely who did it and just gave me the 3 photos, and ds got to come because he's off school atm with a v bad cough so he was v excited to see his brother or sister on the screen and kept asking when the babys going to come so excited now :) all feels alot more real.

theressomethingaboutmarie · 07/02/2012 14:03

Oh the food cravings. If I could (and sometimes I do!), I want to eat only: toast, toasted teacakes, cheese mayo and spring onion sandwiches, chips with ketchup, grapes, cereal and milk.

Work is stressing me out massively at the moment - my boss is having hissy fit after hissy fits. HE doesn't know that I'm pregnant and I'm keeping it quiet for as long as I can. I'm feeling so hormonal and stressed at the moment though and can't wait to finish.

MrsLister · 07/02/2012 14:24

hamncheese - we had a cheese wedding cake!!

Here it is: sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs782.snc4/66197_10150089935442985_556297984_7153417_2520746_n.jpg

Our friend made it for us as a wedding gift and his girlfriend made us a selection of sweet cheesecakes (you can just see a chocolate and ginger one in the pic above).

We called the table THE HOMAGE TO FROMAGE ;)

sc0ttishlass · 07/02/2012 14:50

hello all - all this cheese talk is making me hungry! so some food facts - i too, have never ever tried marmite..but, cheese always has been my ultimate favourite thing. now though - i usually crave crunchy nut cornflakes or apples - very odd!! - ps mrslister that picture is amazing.

so - been for the scan - AND ALL WAS OK - perfect in fact! wee thing was wriggling around and sucking its thumb the entire time! due date is 20th august which makes me 12+1... feel on top of the world - especially after feeling on the bottom of it the last few days.. amazing. think im goign to try adn be better now iwth eating properly etc! and definately no more buffet type stuff at nights out! thanks again for all your help - v happy :)

congrats on the other scans and hope its not too icy where you are - actually really nice day here in Glasgow - glad i took the afternoon off as have no interest in working at all :)

xx

MrsMigginslovespies · 07/02/2012 14:58

Oh yay for all the lovely scan today! Really happy for you all. So nice to be able to share with people on this thread and go through things together. Feeling the love today.

hamncheese · 07/02/2012 17:17

congrats to all those scanned! :)

Lister that picture is making me so envious! Why didn't I just say ITS MY DAY AND IT SHALL BE A CHEESE DAY! ?

I've had cheese for 2 of the 3 meals I've eaten today, but now feel very peaky. Anyone else get a thing where they don't eat for a while and then once they have eaten they get all woozy and lethargic? I'm thinking it's blood sugar related.

flyingleo · 07/02/2012 17:26

Hello all, bit late to this, but can I join in now? Had scan today and all lovely and fine. Due 19/8/12 so 12+2 today, UCH, London. I'm also eating a LOT of cheese!

flyingleo · 07/02/2012 18:07

Thanks for adding me Needlescuties! No need now, but for your next round, I'm 33 and this shall be DC2...

Westcountrylovescheese · 07/02/2012 18:32

Hamncheese and lister, we had a cheese wedding cake too! It was the centrepiece of our evening buffet. Yum yum yum...

All those who have admitted not having tried marmite, this is your opportunity! Marmite spaghetti has now become our staple.

Congratulations on all the scans and especially to scottishlass after that horrible weekend, you must be very pleased!

I'm 14 weeks today and still not showing. Quite good though as I can hide it still. I have already had an unwanted belly pat, not good. Definite flutter feelings though, can't make out any movement but feels tickly inside every so often. Eek!

MrsMigginslovespies · 07/02/2012 18:47

Guess what I had for supper?! Ham and cheese toasted croissant. Lush. And a big glass of apple juice. Thought I'd share.

McBaby · 07/02/2012 18:59

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with low blood pressure currently 90/60 so making me feel dizzy, lightheaded a d out of breath after walking up one flight of stairs! Not sure if exersise will help or make it worse!!

14 weeks today

Vinolover · 07/02/2012 19:47

Hello all

So pleased all these scans are going really well :)

Mcbaby I have low blood pressure too and feel dizzy lots of the time and very breathless, especially in the morning. It's not nice is it :(

Is anybody else still absolutely knackered? I swear it's worse now than when it was really early on (am 13+3).

alisonmcg · 07/02/2012 19:54

Hi McBaby I've got low blood pressure too, was 98/60 at my booking appointment, get dizzy and breathless too especially if I forget and stand up too quickly! Was told it's nothing to worry about though, they only get concerned if your pressure gets too high. As long as you remember to stand up slowly you should be fine Smile

NeedlesCuties · 07/02/2012 20:11

McBaby I used to suffer from low blood pressure, but it seems to have sorted itself out... hoping it stays that way, as I like it being in the 'normal' range!

I still get the symptoms sometimes of dizziness, weakness etc but think that is momentary dips in blood pressure, rather than being a constant thing.
