Hi there. I was just wondering how everyone is - Ghosty, Hilary, Bogwoppit and anybody else who is pregnant after a previous miscarriage. There seems to have been a lot of sad news re pregnancies on mumsnet recently. On the one hand, I feel like I don't want to parade being pregnant in front of those who have had an m/c - on the other hand, we need to show that there are some positive stories out there!
I am 16 weeks tomorrow. Feeling ok, over the nausea I felt from about week 7 to week 12 or 13.

thanks gothicmama and eyelash.. I'll keep you up-to-date.

Gothicmama, it is a very brave decision to try again and, if you do, I wish you all the best of luck in the world. At the moment I think if I lose this one, I will give up as the ewmotional cost is so high. Who knows how I'll feel a few months later though. Let us know of you do decide to try again, you'll get tons of support here.

Hi again, I had a few with DD, no sickness, just funny smells and tingly nipples and needing loo loads. This one, I had a funny sense of smell about a week after conception , but very little else, which is why I thought all was lost when I bled at 6 weeks. I got some sickness around 10-11 weeks funnily enough. I have bled every successful pgcy as well as the second m/c and no bleeding at all in the missed m/c. What I'm saying is you just don;t know and every pgcy is so different. I remeber like yesterday going for that scan at 7 weeks thinking it would be a dead baby I would be looking at and I honestly couldn;t beleive there was a live one in there. I thought I was so in touch with my body after all it had been through, yet I still thought it was lost. I do know though that if I had lost the third in a row, I don;t know if I could have the strength to do it again. Not for a while anyway. I think of the heartache it causes and see myself in you now, what you;re having to go through. I do feel so much for you and hope you come out the other side tommorow. Love Q xx
Gothicmama, good luck if you decide to try. I have to get off, phone call coming through!!! Tommorow, my friends xx

Quacks, you're a gem. I have a funny sense of smell too, I threw away some baby sweetcorn because every time I opened the fridge the smell of them made me queasy. I can still smell them even though they are in the bin outside. Also I have sore boobs which I have been aware of for a few days but cant remember having before my miscarriages. So I suppose there are some positive signs, I am just a complete worrywort at the moment. note to self, must be more positive. Think of me at 1.55 today wont you!

Jezebel · 19/04/2004 23:20

Bunny, so pleased for you. I was thinking of you today! Haave not posted for a while (ised to post as Brunhilda but that won't work now) but have been reading the various threads to catch up with you all. BTW I had a positive pregnancy test yesterday. If this baby makes it, it will be due in December. I spotted a little on the day period due so thought we had not been lucky and had a few bevvies (after having drunk no aclochol all month - no coffee either!). Then soptting stopped. Hope alcohol did not harm (but cannot undo it now). Far too early for a acan for me- I must be only 4 weeks. I keep my fingers crossed. I am so pleased for you!

beansprout · 20/04/2004 00:29

Fab news Bunny, am really pleased for you
and congratulations Jezebel!!!

bunny2 · 20/04/2004 01:38

Thank you so much everyone

Gothicmama, I am really pleased that you are encouraged by the support here. It has helped me so much. Good luck if you do start ttc.

Jezebel, great to hear from you. I was wondering what happened to Brunhilda, glad you are back and FAB news about the positive test. You are over the first hurdle. It's a long hard slog but we will both make it

jellycat · 20/04/2004 01:39

Congratulations Jezebel! Hope all goes well. When you first do the test 12 weeks seems a lifetime away doesn't it. But it seems hardly any time at all since I did the test at 4 weeks and I'm now 8 weeks. Fingers crossed for us all.

Gothicmama, best of luck with trying again - this is certainly a great place for support.

Quackers · 20/04/2004 17:08

Fab news Brunhilda!!!!!! jezebel !! Glad you found us again and I'm really pleased!
Bunny, Jelly, Gothic mama how are you today?

jellycat · 20/04/2004 18:46

Hi Quacks, I'm doing fine (maybe too fine???). I'm quite surprised that I'm still pg, didn't think I'd get this far, so that's something at least! I'm just focusing on my scan next Tuesday. Hope you're well too.
