Hi Alex maybe you're right Smile
I haven't got them to hand, but think the femur was pretty much 50. I'd expect that to be ALOT longer if it's got my legs lol!

Saying that, if it's a girl a bit shorter legs would be better - at least she'll be able to get trousers (and shoes!)! Grin

Xx

AlexTasha · 09/01/2012 14:44

wommer yeah my little guys legs were just under 50 and so were his arms so thats in proportion at least, but not in proportion to his massive belly! I'm glad your guy is a little chubber too with similar measurements! I have long legs too and so does my Dp so was suprised that his legs were measuring quite average, but I'm sure they will grow plenty once he is out! :)
Oooooo you're having a girl so fingers crossed she has nice petite little feet and legs then!

Wommer · 09/01/2012 18:06

Lol Alex I known was a really chubby baby who stretched out when I got to about 2 so maybe the same applies!

Don't know which flavour we're having - just know that I have a total mission finding clothes/shoes so if it is a girl I wouldn't want to inflict the same (espesh if she gets DH's furry chest as well lol Grin!)

Dozeyland · 09/01/2012 19:57

What were their weights? i'm just going to grab my notes to look for measurements :)

Dozeyland · 09/01/2012 21:07

Head Circumference = 180.0mm (below 50th)
Abdominal = 152.0mm (Just below 50th)
Femur Length = 33.1mm = (Under 50th)
Est. Fetal weight = 349g/12Ozs
Anterior high

DD's femur was 29.0mm
DD's weight was 11ozs
She also had a smaller head and bigger belly

alwaysanauntie · 09/01/2012 21:08

Hope i've managed to get the list right, apologies if I've missed anyone off or got sex wrong! Baby brain has seriously kicked in so I'm regularly saying/doing things wrong at the moment! Blush

iowmum88 · 09/01/2012 21:25

hay guys need help!!!!!!!! im 19+5 now and my boobs are leaking!!! not much but when i squeeze it comes out white. has anyone else had this or know why this could be happening to me now!
bit worried as this didnt happen until after DS was born and he was 6 weeks prem so as you can imagine i worry about everything. not sure what to do!

Dozeyland · 09/01/2012 21:34

I guess your body is just recognising pregnancy changes, and maybe you might just have a good supply brewing! I leaked early on with DD and breastfed her for 13months :)

With this one, I leak too sometimes, not a lot. also boobs are getting tender now... I don't like having swollen boobs, thats why i got some little stretchmarks on them because they went from a barely B-cup to a almost D... and on my body it looked a felt ridiculous!

iowmum88 · 09/01/2012 21:44

thats what i thought, didnt breast feed though with my DS cause he was prem and lazy Smile so i expressed for a few weeks but just then dried up. so haven't had any milk for nearly 2 half years.
oh well scan thursday so im sure i can ask someone there.

Wommer · 09/01/2012 21:44

Hi Dozey,
I can't see the weight on mine anywhere - is it on the same sheet as the other measurements?

Xx

Dozeyland · 09/01/2012 22:00

The weight is on one sheet - below the femur length.. then the graphs are on the 2nd sheet

hippieshake · 09/01/2012 22:02

iow I've had that with my nipples too, I'm 19+3. What's worse is that I had one of my nipples pierced which I've now taken out, but the hole where the piercing was has made the leaking worse!

x

iowmum88 · 09/01/2012 22:09

hippie oh dear that doesnt sound good! It horrible they are sore as it is.
I hope it stops soon tho!!

alwaysanauntie · 10/01/2012 07:34

iowmum88 don't panic, I've also started leaking from one boob (the bigger one!) and the books say it's not uncommon from 18 weeks on. Just another one of pregnancy's joys (i'm now paranoid it'll come through my top at work... Don't really want to start using breast pads already, but hey-ho)

Wommer · 10/01/2012 10:05

Dozey guess as different nhs I get a different format - only have the one sheet with everything - and no weight.

Shame tho - would be nice to know.

On the other subject, boobs aren't leaking yet. But they certainly are maaahousive!

Xxx

BlueCrane · 10/01/2012 10:17

Morning 20 weeks today Shock Smile seems to have taken forever to get to this point and now am suddenly feeling very nervous and emotional about it all!! Had big hormonal meltdown on poor DH last night, then had the best night's sleep I've had for a while (he didn't bless him as I'd just transfered all my stress onto him Blush ) Then this morning I had a proper baby brain moment to mark the day Hmm when I picked up my nice shiny new GHD hair straighteners at the wrong end...ie the super hot end and burnt my finger on one of the hot plates Angry

I'm going to have a look at my notes, but don't think I got the weight either wommer and have a feeling my beany's size measurements were all on the large side Shock I'm only a size 12 so getting a little worried about exit strategies for LO one now!! Was busy looking up pelvic floor exercises last night too so will be starting those from the weekend onwards I think!! Have also been panicing that I'm not eating right...keep trying to have more fruit but it just gives me bad heartburn which is not helpful! And I seem to be craving sweet stuff, cakes and biscuits (well, have always loved those) Smile Don't want to put too much weight on or have a huuge baby to push out either!!

AlexTasha · 10/01/2012 11:58

Oh geeze leaky nipples sounds like something to look forward to! Haven't got that one yet, but my boobs havent really grown that much so I'll probably get it tsunami like when they decide to expand!

So nice to hear about everyones measurements and weights. So exciting. Looks like my little one is a big bubba weighing 13oz (almost 14). But he has a big belly so thats to be expected! I am a bit worried that I am over-feeding him so might start trying to be a bit healthier although still fit into my size 12 tops so can't have stacked too much weight on just yet..hopefully!! :)

hippieshake · 10/01/2012 14:29

I'm finding it so interesting hearing about all your little ones and their sizes/weights. Those things never crossed my mind! I didn't even know that eating a lot could make them too big. I don't think my midwife is very good with communication.

I went today and they have none of my notes in my maternity record, I've not had any of my exemption forms, and when I asked about my MATB1 form they said I'd get it at my next appointment, which is AFTER the cut off date for telling my employer. Got to hear the baby's heartbeat though which was lovely. Can't wait for my scan in the morning!!

I hope you are all feeling well xx

alwaysanauntie · 10/01/2012 15:30

hippieshake u may not need to worry about matb1 form for notifying your employer, I just had to write that I was pg, what week I'm due & when I'm taking mat leave (wrote it today). My lot only need matb1 for smp to be processed, so may not be needed as soon (but still important to chase gp as you don't want to miss out! :o ). It should say what's required in your co maternity policy.

VeronicaSpeedwell · 10/01/2012 17:01

Dozey, glad to hear you rlove your Sola! Truffle is the colour I like too, fingers crossed we like it in the flesh.

Great to read everyone's news about happy scans. I found it so stressful. I feel like I'm finally allowed to be excited now, make nursery plans etc.

No nipple leaks here yet! Will report of course Grin.

Hippieshake, I managed to notify my employer without MATB1, and just told them when I'd be getting it and that I'd submit it then. I know yours have been a real pain about believing you're pregnant though. Have things got any better?

I haven't got my notes to hand to compare measurements, but mine was a super average baby, all the little graphs were dead on centre. I think the weight was 304g.

AlexTasha · 10/01/2012 17:19

For those of you who work are you going to take your annual leave as a lump at the start of your maternity leave, spread it out or take it accrued as a lump at the end? Also, what kind of maternity package are you getting?

hippie I dont have my forms yet, but have my appraisal tomorrow and will tell my boss when I want to take maternity leave and also try and barter for some good maternity pay, although I think I will be stuck on SMP!

VeronicaSpeedwell · 10/01/2012 17:49

AlexTasha, I will be paid for my accrued holiday, though the nature of my job means this is the only sensible option in my case. If I were in my old office job I'd be taking holiday at the end (I think). Is that what you were asking? I am lucky in that I have a good package -- 18 weeks full pay, then SMP for however long that lasts, then nowt if I want to continue up to 52 weeks. I will go back sooner than that though, for lots of reasons.

What are you all wearing at the mo? My normal tops are all fine, though I'm not used to these boobs Confused! I am wearing a Gap maternity skirt which I really like (this one) though it looks utterly grim and frumpy in the pictures! In real life it's less policewoman, more just a nice slim straight black skirt which means I can still wear normal tops with boots and nice tights and feel like I have a shape. I already have lots of jersey and empire line dresses which I'm really enjoying wearing, though they'll be too short at the front once the bump pops more. My jeans still do up, but I did unbutton them to sit down the other day, and I don't think I can expect them to hold out much longer. I'm a bit sceptical about all those gadgets to extend your waistband. Don't you end up risking a triangle of knicker showing? Or worse?! Even with a long top I think I'd feel a bit exposed.

lobba · 10/01/2012 17:53

Hi all had my 20wk scan today - all good!
The measurements I can decipher are:
Head Circumference 177mm
Abdominal Circ: 149mm
Femur length: 32mm
I didn't get the weight and the precentiles aren't written on but I noticed them on the screen at one point and they were all about 35 - 40 which is ok as I'm only 5'3" and DP is 5'8".
Had a lovely sonographer who let us have 4 photos for £4 instead of £4 each! They're not as clear as the 12 week ones but still great to have.
AlexTasha I don't get annual leave (teacher) so I'm hoping to work for as long as possible before my due date - we get 4 weeks full pay, 2 weeks 90%, 12 weeks 50% + smp and 21 weeks smp (and whatever's left unpaid)

Dozeyland · 10/01/2012 20:27

I think the prices for scan photos are disgusting, 10.00 for 3 or 20.00 for 6... terrible. I think that the donations box which we had for DD, and this LO 12 week scan is fair. but paying that amount of money when there is no guarantee that you will get specific photos is bad i think.

I got a good one of the hand, waving, but the other three (he gave one extra) but they just wernt really clear as to what they were. I asked him and made mental notes so I could label to send to DP.

*Feeling like i'm getting big... everyone says im still small.. but i think where i'm looking down on myself, I just think HOW am i going to go another 18 1/2 weeks, without popping? Looking at pictures with DD's pregnancy, I think I was the same-ish. but this time around i just "feel" bigger... and they say its lower second time where you've already stretched, anyone else finding this?

on top of this feeling, i forever feel bloated, can't go to toilet as often as i think i need to, and bending to do dd's nappy/bathtime etc is aching my back already!

sorry for the moan! I just really feel bigger, but some days i dont, its so odd.!!

Wommer · 10/01/2012 20:34

It must be the different NHSs - we haven't been asked to pay for any of the pics at all!
Completely in mat clothes now. Managed to find jeans in mew look that are 34' inside leg Grin
Xx
