Ps. When Owlet gets hiccups I can feel them in my arse. I think some babies just get comfy really low down in your pelvis. When I had the panic at 30 weeks and couldn't feel him move it turned out that was where he had retreated to. From what the nurse said that seems to be quite common?

Owl hope it isn't the museli and owlet puts in an appearance

Yay for Daisy starting mat leave, hope you got the desk cleared?

Bigmac 11/11/11 how exciting, I've just arranged to finish the week before, I must be chicken!!

Velvet PMSL at the toilet door, I'm so big now that I forget and always aim at gaps that I'm far too big to get through, causes much mirth in the office.

MrsB so sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you and DP/DH are coping.
I had a MMC in Jan diagnosed at 12 weeks. That BFP had taken over 3 years to achieve so we expected the long haul again. I got a BFP in March after one regular cycle, I'm 34 and have PCOS. What we did differently

DTD more often, from days 8-21, and even when we couldn't be arsed
Made sure we could see each other on the days we needed to, DH works shifts etc, my job moves me round the country, we put ourselves first.
Enjoyed it and remembered it was bcs we liked each other and not solely because we wanted a child. This was easier bcs the grief of losing number one made us closer.
Didn't get up straight after DTD, to help the swimmers, gravity and all that
Ate brazil nuts like they were going out of fashion
Exercised more
Took pre-preg multivits
Slept more
Drank more water
Stressed less about getting pregnant bcs I'd proved I could
Only did my hours at work and no more
Started reflexology

However, I don't think I could've maintained that zen for more than a few months without reverting to the mentalling, hand-wringing state I'd got into last autumn, I have everything crossed for you that you get the BFP soon x

WIW how's Suki?

Wombat hope you're settling in??

to everyone eles

Velvetcu · 05/08/2011 10:00

come on owlet!!

MrsB33 I got my BFP 6 months after ERPC for an mmc. I did one thing differently - I gave up stressing, got very very pissed twice in ov week and had SFF! Oh actually 1 more thing - I ate lots of brazil nuts.

Mac am giggling too that you know about bumhole kicks Grin Owl sometimes miniV goes very quiet too - I assumed she moved to the back so glad that it is actually possible.

I spent half an hour last night watching miniV get comfy, she was having a proper wriggle. I'm loving it :)

dooscooby · 05/08/2011 10:18

Hi there, just wanted to post v quickly to say thanks so much to you all for such a warm welcome. Got my folks staying so will try and catch up on Sunday. Happy weekend!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/08/2011 10:32

Hello lovely ladies. I am so very slack at keeping up. The old thread has even dropped off threads I'm on Blush

I'm not even going to attempt a big catch up but a few words for people I can remember!

mac Cheers for the new thread :)

dachs Fingers still crossed for you :)

Hooray for nix and your new bundle :) :)

owl Hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long. Your EDD is my brothers birthday. Random piece of info there haha!

wiw sorry to hear about Suki, I hope she makes a full recovery.

Everyone else, big waves, I will do better to keep up!

I can't believe I have got to almost 32 weeks. Still measuring 3 weeks ahead though. MW said she will keep an eye on it and if I am still too big at next appointment then we will make a plan of action so I don't know what that means I was too scared to ask details! So Dh and I decided we better get my bag ready just in case he comes early. So have spent this weekend actually washing baby clothes, buying nappies and packing my bag. Scary stuff. And it is extrememely weird seeing these little blue clothes hanging on my airer.

I still feel very detached from it all though. I thought doing this bit would evoke some sort of emotion in me but it hasn't. I seem to be on complete autopilot and doing it because I know I have to. It's still feeling like this is all for someone else, not me. Hmm

harassedandherbug · 05/08/2011 11:33

Morning all,

Wow it's been busy, I'll do my best but my memory is appalling at the moment!

coconuts lovely to see you, and packing your bag sounds like a good plan!

MrsB33 so very sorry for your loss. I'm "lucky" in that I don't seem to have a prob getting preg, just staying that way. Took my 6 months to get first bfp, and I did lots of opk's and saw a kinesiologist. I swear by kinesiology for getting me preg and keeping me that way this time!
Velvet it's fab watching the move around isn't it? Dd was back to back right up until the very end and I'm sure she was trying to break out!
wiw how's Suki?

I'm getting some very odd sensations, feels like my cervix is being kicked from the inside. It's horrible, makes me clamp my legs firmly together but it doesn't help. I wish he'd pack that in!! I'm feeling sorry for dh because bug is going nuts in there but he can't feel anything yet. My placenta is on the front though so that explains it, but he's itching to feel something!

owlbooty · 05/08/2011 11:42

Dachs had scannage this morning, did she not? I've totally run out of goats and llamas, it's a good thing there's a petting farm down the road so I can restock Shock Hope all is well, lovely.

PrettyVacant1 · 05/08/2011 11:44

Mornin' all Smile

Booty Wink how do Missus?

Urban I've not said congrats, lovely news about your DD.

Daisy you up yet? Grin I spent my fist day of mat leave on the sofa in my PJ's.

Mrsb33 Sorry to hear about your MC, amongst methods like feet/bum in the air/under a pillow, using Ov calculators and apps off t'interweb.
Google them, there are loads and you'll find one that suits you.
Do not stress about it.
I found that forgetting about it for two weeks of the month as much as possible and keeping the focus on why why two of you want to make a baby and are together in the first place.
There's no proven method, apart from sex at the ideal time, things help, what works for one may not for another, depends how mental you want to be. Grin
I also found that after 6 MC and desperately trying for 18 months deciding that we were going to give it a break, buy and decorate a house and get a promotion actually guaranteed I fell pregnant within 2 months.

You are welcome to stick around here as we've all been where you are now, there's a few threads about from which we've "graduated" www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1266022-Just-MC-and-ready-to-try-again-Pack-your-leathers-black-nail-polish-air-guitar-and-jump-in-the-mosh-pit-for-some-serious-metalling-All-welcome-Part-17
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1219781-Sixth-Form-Common-Room-part-III-post-mc-ttc-pregnancy
They are a lovely bunch of supportive crayzees who know exactly where you're coming from.
Good luck and we hope to hear good news soon . x

Wombat Enjoy mat leave! I know how you feel, it's taken me at least 2 weeks to wake up and not feel guilty about doin' naaaaaahsiiiink!
I have arranged the odd lunch date and need to do a few bits though.
We'll have enough to do soon!

Mac and Velvet I too am in the bum hole booty club, feels quite disconcerting doesn't it.

Coconuts Hello lovely!
I really must
get round to washing clothes, I've packed 2 days ages ago but only my bits are washed.
Waiting for a sunny day as I'm menkul and want to dry everything on the line. Blush
It's lovely today but I'm doing the bedding as I'm spending a lot of time there at the moment. BlushGrin
I can sympathise with the feeling of detachment too honey, it was so hard to pack my bag and I keep peeping in the Nursery trying to picture a baby in there.
Convincing myself it will happen.
Self preservation is a PITA innit. Sad
But.... We are going to have our babies and we are going to have newborn snuggles and these uneasy feelings will soon be a distant memory.

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 05/08/2011 11:50

scannage is this pm owly, so petting zoo animals are still at risk :)

Not feeling v positive as i had bleeding yesterday, which is a bit random and rather worrying.

bigmacandhappymeal · 05/08/2011 11:57

a quick dip in to say harassed welcome to the pummelled cervix club - who knows you may join the beautifully named Bumhole Booty Club in the near future too (thanks vacantm well named!!). It's very off-putting isn't it?

owl you are right about dachs - FX

coconut I'm not where you are yet, but I think feeling detached is perfectly reasonable given all our circs and how new all of this is...

OP posts:
nickstermum · 05/08/2011 12:31

There you all are......

Thanks for all the congrats,,, Grin hes very snuggly!

Owl and PV... eeeeek !!!!!! cannot wait.......

My birth was good/fast... waters went at 8am he was here by 11.45pm same day. Couldnt get into labour myself due to erratic contracting and erratic BP and erratic baby HB. so got dripped up at 6pm managed on nothing at all until 10pm then G&A which made me turn into the shedevil... I then went from 5 to transition in a v short space of time, demanded an epidural and was fully dilated before it took effect..! Confused Delivered Corey on a local anasthetic with forceps after his hb disappeared.. they acted FAST he was out in 2 pushes, and in my arms feeding within minutes. A little dramatic, but with a wonderfully happy ending.

I was errr then left with no feeling in my body for a couple of hours after the epi kicked in post birth Confused Grin doh...... the power of the devilish G&A!

enjoying lots of newborn snuggles... mostly during the night when he wont settle and is very fussy... but is truly wonderful. He looks just like his bro.. who absolutely adores him... and now his feeding is established seems to be thriving Grin

Cant wait for news from everyone x

HUGE congratulations Nix :o SO very pleased for you doll, enjoy all that lovely newborn snuggling :)

I have decided to finally "out" myself here, (I'm "updiffed" on the Freakout Room) I am 18 weeks tomorrow :o So think I should get myself on the list here. I heard the HB yesterday and I'm finally admitting that that baby #3 is coming :)

My Due date is 7th January, but will have a elective c/s at 38 weeks (Between Christmas and New Year I think)

Hello to all those that remember me from the trying again after m/c thread. I am so so so happy to be here, and I'll try and post more frequently....

PinkFondantFancy · 05/08/2011 14:18

nix that all sounds a bit traumatic but so pleased for you it all worked out so brilliantly.

sunchild it's fab seeing you over here, congratulations!!!

Thinking of you this afternoon dachs

It is hotter than hell over here again today Confused - totally minging.

Daisybell1 · 05/08/2011 14:38

Hello all! Its gorgeously sunny up here Smile

Wombat can't believe I didn't say congrats on house - are you settling in?

Sorry to hear that all's quiet on the Owlet front - kicking up museli is clearly a naughty bean trick - Daisybean did the same yesterday

Grin at Nix's sprinkles - OH confessed after we got BFP very quickly that he had been eating the ram's special food which gets them, err, ready for shagging season Blush

Blackkat desk was nearly cleared but don't give a t*ss about the rest of it, the boss will just have to cope!

Coconuts thank you so much for the hospital bag thread - you've just saved me from loads of brian stressing - am just copying your list Grin

Waves to Pretty you are so much braver than me putting baby clothes out on the line - don't dare, just a step too jinxy for me Sad

Lovely to hear from you again Nix, it all sounds lovely, if a little frantic. You are clearly a feeding superstar!

Harassed Daisybean used to specialise in fanjo kicks, and also making down there feel like post-the-big-O Blush

Daisybean may be about to scare us - at MW appointment this morning, I was measuring exactly the same as 2 weeks ago (same MW too). If she hasn't budged in 10 days then we're off for a growth scan. FX all's ok

PS experienced some breast-feeding witches mum supporters on Weds evening - when I asked if there were any support groups in my area, they didn't know where it was, and told me I'd have to set up my own Confused. Luckily my lovely CMW has stepped in and arranged me a specialist 1:1 breast feeding session with a trained MW in the neighbouring health trust - phew!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/08/2011 14:51

owl I think standing on your head may not work! Grin

PV I don't have a washing line but have hung mine to dry on my airer rack thingy. They all say they're tumble dry-able but I don't want it on in this heat and I'm the queen of tumble dryer shrinkage so hanging up is the way to go! I have big victorian sash windows so stading the airer in front of one of them with it open for two hours is the same as a washing line thankfully!

Thanks for the kindness on the detachment. It is a right PITA. I just want to be all broody and excited but I'm not. :(

nix Birth sounds a bit dramatic but pleased he is here safe and sound :)

daisy Glad to be of service :) I was worried I'd packed far too much and will be taking too many bags but seems as though the amount I'm planning to take is normal. Only prob is having to take baby clothes in two diff sizes. Because I'm so big I'm sure I won't need newborn but have to take them just in case. Hope the measuring in 10days is ok, fundal height is hugely inaccurate though so try not to worry. Wasier said than done though I know.

Sunny here, but not as hot, thankfully there is a nice breeze. Now got go and fold up my dry washing and get the next load in and decide what baby clothes to pack. If anyone has any advice please feel free to share!

DD was 9lb 5oz and MW has told me she is sure this one will be bigger than that and am measuring three weeks ahead so should I just take 0-3? And how many of each thing?

mrsb33 · 05/08/2011 17:19

just popping back in to say thankyou and I'm hoping to join you all very soon. Were currently on cycle 2 of the cbfm so let's see if it can help with me pin pointing ovulation, after 11 months off ttc action you,d think I'd be fab at it all wouldn't you [confused face]
Feel like I've tried everything, cbfm, ov sticks of every form, legs in air, sex every other day from af to af... Vitamins of all types, grapefruit, pinapple juice, brazil nuts, reflexology and now the doctor for intial tests, so fingers crossed it won't be too long b4 I get that bpf...
Thanks again, and congrats all. X

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 05/08/2011 19:43

Looks like egg collection will be on Monday. The largest follies are nice and big, there may be a couple of extra follies developing as well. So i just hope the weekend is kind to them. Will let you know how it goes on Monday. I'll know on Tuesday if any have fertilised and hopefully there will still be some left to go back on on Wednesday.

Will keep you posted. Now, if any of you still have spare goats, llamas or petting zoo animals to sacrifice I think now would be a good time to start planning their demise. Maybe wait until Sunday to do it though, so the luck is still around on Monday. Procedure due to be at 10.30am, but I need to get there at 8.15 so I won't be posting on Monday beforehand.

cep · 06/08/2011 08:04

morning ladies,

harrassed i'm ok but very tired, for the first time in 3 years i've had to work 5 days this week and will need to next week. I still have 3 weeks to go before a week leave, then 4.5-5 weeks till ml. Glad you had a lovely get together.

mrsb if you're still lurking i also signed onto fertility friend which showed graphs of temp and things, i don't know if the cbfm does the same.

nix so glad he's settling in well.

dachs good luck for monday.

coconuts i'd take couple of each, just incase.

dh finally felt baby move last night, yay, not that it made any difference he just nodded to show he felt it. hope everyone has a lvoely weekend.

Daisybell1 · 06/08/2011 08:20

Dachs well done for the follies and have got everything crossed for you through the weekend and into next week.

Have been prowling round the fields being watched by slightly nervous looking sheep. Victims have been chosen, bonfire is being built and neighbours will be traumatised by naked dancing Grin

CollieandPup · 06/08/2011 08:37

scooby congratulations on the great scan, now make yourself comfortable!

glad the sweep was ok owl got my fx for you!

Nix wow the birth sounds quite traumatic -wasn't it you who had a traumatic birth last time and are therefore cautious about home birth? Glad you are enjoying snuggles. Corey sounds beautiful!

harassed it's really lovely to read you're still giddy after you scan. It's a lovely feeling! Still no pram decision? Your prego girls night out sounds fun, how nice!

daisy how was your last day and how is the world of ml?

coconuts and PV eekk at baby clothes washing!! Thats a great step! I think I will feel quite detached from it until he arrives, and I think mc makes that worse as you are always holding back on the excitement, with that 'what if' if the back of your mind, but to be honest I think I'd have been very similar without the mc. This is dc1, and not being able to comprehend what's coming makes it feel quite surreal. Like i know I'm pregnant, but can't imagine a baby coming. dachs wishing you sooooo much luck on Monday. Hope your follies get busy growing this weekend! X

Up really early this morning. WHY on a weekday do I struggle to drag my arse out if bed, and the on a weekend wake up at the crack of dawn. Wanted to go to Pilates, but didn't book and now it's full-boo Sad

Feeling particularly fat today as woman as work due the day before me confessed to having only gained 6lbs at 25wks! I had gained 1 stone almost 2 weeks ago so am now depressed that I'm a huge whale!! Any other fat stories would be welcomed to make me feel better-all none weight gainers be aware!!! [grin ]

Off to see a photographer this afternoon. Very early I know but we walked past their studio on sunday and they had the most amazing and tasteful newborn pics in the window, so I rang and she invited us down for coffee and a look at their work, so I couldn't refuse! Aparently the best time to have to photos done is the first 14 days after birth. . Confused Anyone else planning newborn pics?

Also can I ask, is anyone taking any supplements? Chiro recommends omega 3 to me.... ?

CollieandPup · 06/08/2011 09:15

coconuts your labour bag thread is discussion of the day Grin

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/08/2011 10:05

collie I know!!! I've made it! Grin Fat story here: I had put on over a stone also by 20something weeks and to make matters worse I lost half a stone in the forst trimester from my HG so I put that all back on and the stone was on top of that so technically a stone and a half! Hope that makes you feel a bit better :) Oh and also... I know I'm pregnant but adamant that this baby is not coming home for some reason. You are not alone in this crazy thinking! Grin

dachs will be thinking of you monday. unfortunately I cannot find any animals to sacrifice in my neck of the woods but perhaps I can have a naked bonfire dance or something!

cep thanks I will definitely take some of each. Last time I took quite a bit and ended up running out because DD was sick on everything and had to wear hospital clothes. Ew. This will not happen again!

Glad DH felt the baby. Don't expect him to be all WOOHOO about it tho. Mine wasn't particularly until about now. give him time. I think it's harder to connect that little thud to anything as he isn't feeling it from the inside. Wait until you have a knee rolling across your whole belly! My Dh watches it with his mouth open asking if it hurts and really taking an interest now so just give it time :)
