pry=pray! Sorry!

wendy11 · 19/03/2006 18:27

Hello Ladies

Thank you all for replying - It is good to hear what others would do when not as emotionally involved as we are. I have tried over the last few days to take a step back and try to look in on our situation from the outside and see if that make things clearer. In my heart of hearts I know we have to try one last time and just pray that we get our little miracle, but it is still so difficult to make that decision.

Cadmum - I was interested in your experience of asprin. Who knows what effect it had but it has certainly not been a bad one as Charlotte can testify.

I will keep in touch and let you know what decision we eventually come to - if we do go down the IVF route once again I will no doubt be calling on you all for encouragement and positive vibes.

Take care everyone.

CadMum · 19/03/2006 22:11

Wendy: I felt that I just had to do something rather than just wait for a fourth late miscarriage so taking the 81 mg of aspirin seemed like an easy thing to do. I also felt that it couldn't do any harm but as I said: now I will always wonder...

As you know, we will all continue to be here for you whatever decision you make. Take the time you need to think through all of your options; I will be here to listen when you need someone who is not emotionally involved. You have shown such strength in being here for all of us despite your losses. Thanks again; you are a true inspiration.

So hoping that your story has the happy ending you long for and deserve...

CadMum · 20/03/2006 15:13

Sill nothing from Rom? I sure hope she is back soon with a great birth story... Can't help but feel somewhat worried about her.

Hope everyone else is well.

Bella, How are you feeling today? How is that bump coming along?

Munz: glad it is back to just you, DH and your adorable little boy. Sorry that you are still finding the feeding challenging. I can sure relate. It is a giant production to get our little girl to latch on for the night feeds. Thankfully, she seems sorted during the day.

DQ and nemo: How are your big girls?

George: How is Jake?

Bella23 · 20/03/2006 16:08

Cad – lovely to hear from you, yes bump going well. Really funny as this is my first I have to say I just feel really fat, can’t wait to get really big so I look pregnant rather than someone who might have just eaten a lot of pies!!
You can of course remind me I said this when I am the size of a house and complaining that I am too big!!
How are you handling 4 kiddies? – wow, a true professional or what !! Can I be really rude and ask how old you are?Blush

Wendy – I would just like to second what Cad said about us definitely being here to help you through whatever you decide xx

Rom – yes, having worrying niggle about how it all went. I hope we get to know soon!

Ladies – I hope the rest of you are all having a lovely time – haven’t heard from DQ for a while, let us know how you are getting on?

CadMum · 20/03/2006 16:16

MMMMM pies! I do currently look very much like someone who has eaten too many pies. Wish it were true. I am sure that you will lok pg soon enough and then as you suggested, you may regret wishing to be bigger?

What are your thoughts on Mat clothes. Shall I have a look through and see what is worth passing on? (No worries about money as I would sooner pass them on to somone that ship them off to a charity shop and we don't know a soul in NYC.)

I am half way through my 30's but who is counting? Our eldest will be 9 next month and I am in shock when I say that number out loud. It feels like yesterday that he was Charlotte's size... I am certainly NO expert. There is simply no such thing with this parenting lark. Everytime you thnk you know what is going on they change all of the rules! Every child is so different from the last that there are not many lessons learned that can be passed on. (Does that even make sense or am I too sleep deprived to be coherent?)

CadMum · 20/03/2006 16:17

I am only able to type with both hands this morning because the children are all taking it in turns to hold the baby. Fabulous fringe benefit of big family!!!

georgeandwigglyjake · 20/03/2006 18:38

Hello all,
I'm back from a wonderful week in Cornwall. Bit chilly for Jake on the beach so we are saving paddling until the summer. Smile

Wendy, I'm glad you got through your appointment, I think you are so brave after all that you have been through. Only you know if you can cope with going through the experience again but I'm another who would probably go for it so I wouldn't have the "what if" hanging over me. It is very easy to say that from my position though.

Rom, what is happening? Anyone heard anything yet?

Bella, make the most of being able to fit in some clothes and still being able to bend in the middle. Have decided today that I really must stop eating mountains of choccy. I'm sure some of my weight is supposed to be gone even with b/f.

Hope everyone else is OK - Hi to all.

Frizbe · 20/03/2006 21:37

Just a quick Hi from me, as dd2 having a feeding evening....just popped on to check your all ok and to see if any news from Rom, but nothing, so here's hoping she's ok....catch you all later!

Bella23 · 21/03/2006 11:02

Still no word from Rom......I really hope all is ok and she is just a bit snowed under to post.

Cad - ooh yes the maternity clothes would be fab please, probably not worth sending any trousers though as think I am a short arse compared to you! Wow, will look forward to getting a suprise in the post - just let me know how much the postage is xx

George - lovely to hear from you, all sounds like it is going swimmingly. Its far to cold to consider cutting down on the chocolate - as soon as it gets warmer then you can start. At this rate that could be not for at least a couple of months. Do you think Spring has forgotten - its still so bloody cold!!

Hope all is well with everyone else xx

dramaqueen72 · 21/03/2006 12:52

Hi to Bella too! and obviously everyone else, still no word from Rom? surely someone has her e-mail? Munz??

Frizbe · 21/03/2006 14:24

Caddy thanks for your message on our birth announcement thread! sorry but I won't be loading a photo of Neve, as I run an online business and just don't want to risk anyone getting hold of a photo and then our address....as these things aren't hard to work out if your determined......(but she is a sweetie!)

georgeandwigglyjake · 21/03/2006 17:41

I have e-mailed Rom to check all is OK.
I'll let you know if I hear back from her.

CadMum · 21/03/2006 18:42

George: Thanks for emailing Rom. It is hard not to worry about her, isn't it? I sure hope the advice I gave her was sound...

MeAndMyBoy · 21/03/2006 20:20

Been checking the last few days for news - fingers crossed that we'll hear from Rom too.

Wendy, thank you for coming back and telling us how you got on. As others have said we'll be here to give what ever support we can what ever you decide to do. It is such a hard decision, I think I would have to screw up all my courage and try one last time. Take care and you're in my thoughts.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

i'm home - at last! - holding my beautiful little baby girl - absolutely knackered beyond belief - but also on cloud nine, of course Smile

thankyou all for thinking of me. very touching. i only came out of hospital yesterday (after going in on weds. 8.30 15th march for induction). briefly, (sorry too tired to do lengthy post at 5 in morning!) it was a long haul, started contractions very quickly after pessary inserted, but didnt deliver until friday 17th march 07:55 am. narrowly avoided c-section, - she did turn at last minute! it was tough but worth every second of the pain. cadmum - your advice was great, thankyou. Little one weighed 8lb, and is very gorgeous and healthy. also very nocturnal. was kept in hosp. cause b/p rocketed during labour.

love to everyone and catch up properly later

dramaqueen72 · 22/03/2006 05:43

georgeandwigglyjake · 22/03/2006 09:50

Oh Rom, what wonderful news. I am so happy for you & Mr Rom. Grin

Sounds like a bit of an ordeal for you so hope your recovery is OK - chocolate helps!! Smile

Now what have you called your little sweetie?

CadMum · 22/03/2006 13:42

Congratulations Romilly! I am so pleased that you are back home with your precious bundle and mighty relieved that she turned. Can't wait to hear her name and read all the gory details. (might help me put Charlotte's birth into perspective.)Rest up and post when you have a minute.

Tabs · 22/03/2006 15:28

Fabulous Rom. Can't believe you forgot to tell us her name! Huge congratulations.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Things are calming down a little here, since we took Pippa to see a cranial osteopath. It seems that she had a lot of compression in her head, and this was causing a lot of the screaming that we had endured constantly for the first 5 weeks. Now that this is sorted we just need to get her colic under control, and then we can have a contented little girl! Osteopath is hoping to help with this. Highly recommend seeing one if anyone else has similar problems.

Frizbe · 22/03/2006 17:16

Brilliant news Rom Grin so happy for you and your new addition to the family Grin can't wait to hear the full gory details when you get time!
Tabs, glad things are getting better!
